4. Day Trading Lesson 4: The Basics of Charts The fourth lesson in a series on technical ***ysis for day traders of the forex, futures, and stock markets. The tool of the day trader when ***yzing the forex, futures, or stock markets is the price chart. Very simply a price chart is a chart showing the movement of the price of a financial instrument over a chosen time. Most charts will allow a wide variety of time frames to be displayed and the time frame that day traders choose to use varies widely and depends on each traders trading style. In general, longer term traders will focus on daily time frames and above, and shorter term traders will focus on intraday charts such as hourly or 15 minute charts. Many traders will also use a combination of time frames in order to get a full picture of what price has been doing by, for instance, looking first at a longer term daily chart, then moving to an hourly chart, and then finally to a 15 minute chart.

LYRICS: When the stars are right and you're alone Take a journey, lock the world tight Out of your mind. The hall beckons your presence, the doors Open wide you're to decide to turn back. Deep the bowels of this black abyss. Compelled I just can't resist it, take me Take me away take me away I wanna know what's deep within Take me away Drawing near someone passes through me, A silent entity never looking back I won't dare Evil eyes staring through he walls of stone As I feared I travel not alone. Laughter's echoes with the blatant wind I have passed the threshold deep within me A voice of thunder said turn back Tabernacle is forbidden No mortal dares to enter here I want to know Flame is burning center of a fountain yearning, waters Spring eternal, spiritual water physical fire Above center is sky, cold neverness Just vastness filled with stars upon stars In the four corners of life are the golden mirrors Reflecting what you are and what you are to be In the first is a young boy white dove in His hand, in the second is a warrior in armor In the third is the old man gold watch In his hand fourth and last No reflection at all No reflection at all No reflection at all Waters rise toward physical fire, voice says Tabernacle is forbidden never looking back I don't dare If the water touches the flame Forever in darkness yes I'll remain. Sissel - Shenandoah Sissel, the international singing sensation from Norway, is widely regarded as one of the finest and most talented sopranos in the world. Her crystalclear voice has made Sissel a national institution in Norway. Sissel has sung all over the world, selling over six million solo albums. She contributed the haunting vocal tracks for the soundtrack to Titanic. She has been doing great duets with singers like Placido Domingo, Charles Aznavour, Taro Ichihara, Bryn Terfel, Jose Carreras, Russell Watson, Kurt Nilsen, Neil Sedaka and Josh Groban. A very remarkable voice you will only hear once in your lifetime. "Shenandoah" (also called "Oh Shenandoah", or "Across the Wide Missouri") is an American folk song, dating to the early 19th century. The lyrics may tell the story of a roving trader in love with the daughter of an Indian chief; in this interpretation, the rover tells the chief of his intent to take the girl with him far to the west, across the Missouri River. Other interpretations tell of a pioneer's nostalgia for the Shenandoah River Valley in Virginia, and a young woman who is its daughter; or of a Union soldier in the American Civil War, dreaming of his country home to the west of the Missouri river, in Shenandoah, Iowa (though the town lies some 50 miles east of the river). The provenance of the song is unclear. The song is also associated with escaped slaves. They were said to sing the song in gratitude because the river allowed their scent to be lost. The Shenandoah ...

Plasma: The 4th State of Matter Plasma is widely considered to be the fourth state of matter due to its unique properties. Plasma is a gas in which the atoms are ionized, meaning there are free negatively charged electrons and positively charged ions. This collection of charged particles can be controlled by electromagnetic fields and this allows plasmas to be used as a controllable reactive gas. The electronics industry uses this concept to etch very small patterns into silicon to make our modern day devices smaller and more efficient. This movie was produced by students Bobby Bruce and Michael Sweatt for the A. James Clark School of Engineering's 2008 Vid/Terp competition.

Object Capabilities for Security Google Tech Talks November, 30 2007 ABSTRACT Existing systems often do a poor job of meeting the principle of least privilege. I will discuss how object capability systems and language-based methods can help address this shortcoming. In language-based object capability systems, an object reference is treated as a capability; unforgeability of references ensures unforgeability of capabilities; and all privileges are expressed as capabilities in this way. This makes it possible to decompose the system into distrusting "privilege-separated" components, providing each component with the least privilege it needs to do its job; to reason about the privileges and powers available to various program elements, often in a local (modular) way; and to avoid common pitfalls, such as confused deputy and TOCTTOU vulnerabilities. I will attempt to introduce the audience to some work in this area that is perhaps not so widely known, and I will describe some work in progress to construct a subset of Java, called Joe-E, that is intended to enable capability-style programming using a programming syntax that is familiar to Java programmers. Speaker: David Wagner David Wagner is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Division at the University of California at Berkeley with extensive experience in computer security and cryptography. He and his Berkeley colleagues are known for discovering a wide variety of security vulnerabilities in various cellphone standards, 802.11 ...

In all cases he demonstrates how economics relates to the social issues that deeply affect our country - Hoover Institution Thomas Sowell is an American economist, political writer, and commentator. TANDBERG Telepresence Interoperability and B2B Video Conferencing It is widely accepted that telepresence can change the way people experience meetings— and thereby change the way people work. But in the gloom of the global recession, companies are asking themselves how they can get even more value out of their communications assets. To that end, interoperability is key. Certainly, isolated telepresence rooms that can talk effectively to each other, but not to other videoconferencing or telepresence systems, are creating cost savings and improving productivity. But as corporate executives ask what more can be done, the answer is connectivity—making it possible for telepresence rooms to connect to other video conferencing systems, so that more employees can participate in more meetings, without incurring the high costs of travel. Critical to success is standards-based integration with non-telepresence systems that can deliver the best audio and video for each endpoint, rather than that dictated by the lowestcommon- denominator device. This is a consideration that many companies—and even some telepresence vendors—often forget, but it is key to leveraging the full value of a telepresence solution. For additional information regarding TANDBERG Telepresence and Video Conferencing (VTC) solutions, please call us at 1-800-224-7083 or visit us online at .
TORRE DE BELEM Tower of Belém Portugal Widely visible, and in the form of a ship rising out of the sea, Portugal's Torre De Belém, 'Belém Tower', is a fascinating structure which symbolizes the spirit of discovery of its creator, King John II and completed by King Manuel I . Here, Byzantine, Venetian, Arabian, and even Indian building elements combine in monumental Manueline style. In order to protect the approaches to Lisbon, canons point threateningly out to sea and its vast cellars were originally used as a means of defence. Massive stone blocks hermetically seal the interior from the outside world. It was here that the discoverer, Vasco de Gama, dreamed of distant lands.

Allegro con brio Performed by The English Concert Directed by Trevor Pinnock *This symphony was Mozart's first minor key symphony apart from the overture to "Betulia liberata". It is dated 5 October 1773. With its wide-leap melodic lines and brisk musical subjects, this symphony is characteristic of the "Sturm und Drang" style. By contrast, Mozart's only other minor key symphony, number 40 (also in G minor), is not typically viewed as part of this movement. This piece is widely known as the opening music in Miloš Forman's film "Amadeus".

88 mm gun The 88 mm gun (eighty-eight) is a German anti-aircraft and anti-tank artillery gun from World War II. They were widely used throughout the war, and could be found on almost every battlefield. Developments of the original models led to a wide variety of guns that could be identified as "an 88". The name applies to a series of anti-aircraft guns officially called the 8,8 cm FlaK 18, 36 or 37. FlaK is a German contraction of either Fl(ugzeug)a(bwehr)-K(anone) or Fl(ug)a(bwehr)-K(anone) (hence the capital K, nowadays one word) meaning anti-aircraft gun, the original purpose of the eighty-eight. In informal German use, the guns were universally known as the Acht-acht (8-8), a contraction of Acht-komma-acht Zentimeter ("German" 8.8 cm).[1] The name could also describe newer and more powerful models, the FlaK 41 and 43, although these were different weapons. In general terms the gun was less capable in the anti-aircraft role than the British QF 3.7 inch AA gun or United States 90 mm gun models. Unlike those weapons, however, the 88 was built in very large numbers, mounted on a versatile mounting from which it could be fired without unlimbering. Success as an improvised anti-tank gun led to a separate line of guns for anti-tank use, the Panzerabwehr-Kanone (PaK) 88 (German: "anti-tank gun") and as the main armament for tanks such as the Tiger I, the 8.8 cm KwK 36. The introduction of the FlaK 41/43 led to a similar series of anti-tank conversions with even higher performance ...

Newton: The Dark Heretic (Part 1 of 6) "Newton: The Dark Heretic" (2003) Part 1: Part 2: Part 3: Part 4: Part 5: Part 6: Runtime: 00:59:01 Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) is widely regarded as the greatest scientist in the history of the world. A physicist, mathematician, astronomer, philosopher and theologian, one of Newton's works, "Philosophia Naturalis Principia Mathematica" (1687), is considered to be the most influential book in the history of science. Yet relatively few people are aware of Newton's very serious pursuit into alchemy and the esoterica, the practice of which would have been deemed heretical in his day. Beautifully written and directed, with fantastic acting and costume, "Newton: The Dark Heretic" (2003) explores Newton's alchemical endeavours, revealing a man few would recognise. Many of Newton's private m***cripts are examined, which paint a very spiritual man who was absolutely consumed with unraveling the mysteries of the universe, a pursuit which would ultimately push him to the brink of insanity. Another masterpiece from the BBC!

He is best known for The Miximatosis Rabbit and a version of The Black Velvet Band called The Old Morris Van. It was from him that Sweeney's Men got Sullivan's John. For the past 20 years or so he could be heard singing and playing the banjo in Killarney and at Munster Final day in Thurles. He featured in the film Trojan Eddie with Richard Harris and Stephen Rea. Nowadays he lives in County Clare. Aged 74, he was treated in a local hospital in 2007 for a throat illness. His spirit was as high as ever. Sr Carmel O'Sullivan said: "Part of his healing process is playing music and we've found that he has brought a lot of pleasure to other patients in the hospital as well. He has been playing the banjo behind his back, playing it with a biro and also with a part of a bicycle pump."
Arnold's Last Stand: How the Lame-Duck Governor Is Fighting for One Last Win Over Unions For months, California has been a laughingstock state, unable to pass an annual budget, facing a declaration of "fiscal emergency," fighting over pay cuts and furloughs for government employees, threatening to issue IOUs to creditors. With a "framework" budget agreement expected to pass later this week, Reason.tv looks at why this long fight over a bloated budget may be good news for California's future. The Golden State is facing a half-trillion-dollar shortfall in funding its pension commitments to public employees. But this year, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has fought the unions and lost many times, got the momentum on his side. As the public seethes over cuts to public services and excessive compensation to public employees, Schwarzenegger has used the budget negotiation as leverage to wring concessions from the Democrats and their patrons in organized labor. The first steps toward reform have already been taken. Several government employee unions have agreed to less expensive contracts, and the budget deal reportedly includes the repeal of a 1999 law that drastically increased the unfunded pension burden on taxpayers. The termed-out Schwarzenegger won't be back. But the fight to get the state's pension crisis under control will continue. Approximately 6:09 minutes. Written and produced by Tim Cavanaugh.
