The robbery scene was filmed on the Southern Industrial Estate in Bracknell, Berkshire, England. At the end of this video are 4 photographs I took in 1984 of the location. Note that the building under construction in 1970 was to become an office block for ICL as it shows their logo in 1984. The Clark Eaton glass factory had been demolished by 1984 and a new building was under construction when I visited. You can see these photos in better quality by downloading this zip file containing the scans from the original negatives. PM me with your email address and I'll send the zip file to you. The video shows an aspect of the archetypical figure of the villain that is not that commonly portraied and which in this story is the reason for his actions - grief and sorrow about a loss that can not be made undone but can only retaliated. This retaliation can sometimes be veiled by altruism. As retaliation doesn't lead to relief, the story of the villain is always a tragic one and this dramatic figure deserves compassion. Villain - A Maniratnam Film Dev (Prithviraj) is a tough police officer who is appointed to catch Veeraiah (Vikram). During the marriage of Veeraiah's sister (Priyamani), Dev attacks him and injures him. Meanwhile, Veeraiah's sister gets detained by the police for interrogation, but gets gang raped by the police men. This irks Veeraiah who wreaks a vengeance against the police. As Dev was responsible for everything, Veeraiah kidnaps Ragini (Aishwarya), wife of Dev, to teach him a lesson. Dev sets off to the forest in search of Ragini and Veeraiah. A forest guard (Karthik) comes forward to assist Dev to capture Veeraiah. With the help of the forest guard, Dev was able to trace Ragini. Ragini, who makes several vain attempts to escape from the clutches of Veeraiah. The latter don't harm to Ragini. She realises that Veeraiah's act is justified. What happens next should be seen on
