  • Sig P239: Solid Rep, Fast Shooter Once considered a compact pistol option, the Sig P239 understandably has many faithful followers. It remains an well-proven design. That's because the P239 shares many of the excellent characteristics of its larger stablemates like the P225, P228, and P226. Expect excellent accuracy, a fine single action trigger (once transitioned from DA in firing), great sights, lots of accessory options, superb reliability, excellent fit and finish, and the ability to do quick follow up shots. This speed in firing is partially due to the substantial 29.5 oz weight. That's a lot for a gun that just provides 8+1 rounds of firepower. Moreover the carry package is no longer competitive in the compact category, given today's more size-efficient competitors like the Kahr PM9/40 or Kel-Tec PF-9. Those guns offer similar firepower with substantially less weight and bulk. So don't expect the P239 to function in the officers backup role really; its just too heavy and bulky. However as a primary CCW or off-duty gun the P239 will excel when paired with a well-designed holster (shoulder or IWB preferred). Many fans have found that the additional bulk and weight is a good thing and enhance the outstanding shootability of the P239. Ergos on the gun, like most Sigs, are excellent and many female shooters will love the smaller grip circumference (and lessened recoil compared to other polymer guns). Add in a super simple takedown and high retained resale values and the attraction to the P239, even today ...

  • WWE Dave Batista Scares the Life Out of Apprehensive LA Paparazzi VIDEO Wow. This is a funny one, fellow Reel Wrestlers! While some LA paps are trying to discreetly shoot video and stills from their car, they get nailed by one of Daves lady friends hes eating with. Shes cool with it and even invites them over to take some shots after lunch. When he finishes his meal, Dave tries to entice the pap over to get a picture of the "caterpillar" on his forehead. But the main videographer is understandably very reluctant to approach and even tries to get in Daves good graces by assuring him he is a big fan. The joke is on our pap who gets the "you know what" scared out of him when Dave jumps out at him! Very funny! Marrese Crump and the others were practically on the ground laughing! Enjoy this video and get some funny insights from the World WWE Champion Batista about his future plans and when/where his "thumb ends up his butt" which is a reference to his last TMZ video posted on their site. • Let's Play Pokémon Red - Part 1 This is it - my big jump into the audiovisual world. Prior to this I did a lot of written rants about the Pokémon games, mostly about the competitive aspect, but now you get to see the player and hear the voice behind those ramblings. The style will be similar - lots of ***ysis, lots of nitpicking and so on - but this time I'll be playing the game while talking about it. In this pilot episode, I explore Pallet Town a bit, pick up a Bulbasaur... and promptly waste that potion I start with. Good thing I thought of picking it up to begin with, eh? Edit, March 7th, 2010: Understandably this is the video of mine that has the most views, and after all this time of course I know the movie's Stand By Me. So you can stop saying it in the comments, k?

  • Votebots: Proof Creationists have Nothing to Offer Votebots, flagging, DMCAs, none of these will stem the tide of scientific progress ushering us forth into the modern age. Some are just too scared to let go of their Bronze Age superstitions. And they are willing to expose themselves as immoral hypocrites in the process. When one side presents sound logically reasoned arguments backed up by mountains of empirical evidence, and the other side simply resorts to cheating, its pretty obvious the debate is over. If they were only a little smarter they would realize such actions actually do them more harm than good. YouTube could easily fix this and many other problems plaguing its site. They simply choose not to. To download this video copyright free please go to: And remember to always, Think about it.

Me, and my helmet such an un-conventional kid All intense and kinetic, at best tolerated from afar Not yet arrested, and by that I mean betrothed though a start I am newly courted I've just not been trusted with alters I'm a sweet piece of work, well intentioned yet disturbed wrongly label-ed and under-fed, treated like a rose as an orchid My friends, as they weigh in, get understandably protective They have a hard time being objective So inside we cancel each other out I'm a sweet piece of work, well intentioned and un-nerved unlabeled and misunderstood, treated like a rose as an orchid You've brought water to me, making sure my bloom rebounds you know best of what my special care allows So I've lived in my blind spot thought myself usual when I'm not and your garden is a nice spot as long as it is brave and where you are For this sweet piece of work, high maintenance and deserted I've been different and deserving, treated like a rose as an orchid Sweet piece of work, overwhelmed un-observed I've been bowed down to but so misread treated like a rose as an orchid

  • [httyd] ; tie my handlebars to the stars sooo many thanks to redpoet2 for helping me get the clips. ;u; this one's for my treasured friends Zach & Shereen, who love Owl City as much as, if not more than, I do. (I almost put How to Train Your Dragon there too but... nah, they don't love it as much as I do; no normal person does.) -- I've had this video mapped out in my head for months, ever since I first heard the song when Shereen let me borrow Ocean Eyes (so it's her fault this vid even happened anyway). I have to say that I'm wildly proud of it, but, understandably, it didn't turn out QUITE the way I wanted it to... but with WMM, what do you expect, right? Heheh. Understandably, I caved in (AHAHA) and let some Hiccup/Astrid slip in there... what can I say? STP (second true pairing. After Harry/Luna). Anyway... I don't really have much to say about it except that I really, REALLY hope you all like it and that there aren't any mistakes that I missed. I did this whole thing in, like, two long, long nights; I just couldn't shut my muse up. Anyway, I should probably hush up... it's past midnight, after all, and my eyes aren't quite up to snuff at the moment from so many late summer nights playing Pokemon Soul Silver. Blame Shereen for that, too. -- [[AUDIO]] "Cave In" -- Owl City
  • 1969 Ford Mustang Anvil HOT ROD Magazine Those are the words that escaped Steve Strope's mouth as he rode shotgun in the Anvil Mustang, watching through the windshield as it spun and looked to be headed toward the dirt and its certain peril. The location was the road course at Streets of Willow in Rosamond, California, the car was the very trick (and expensive) '69 Mustang that Strope, of Pure Vision, had just finished for Matt Lazich of Anvil Auto, and the occasion was a low-key Hotchkis Performance open track day. Fresh out of the Grand National Roadster Show only a few days before, Strope was understandably nervous to put this car on a road course or anywhere else it could possibly be in harm's way. But that's what we required of the car in order to be featured in HOT ROD, and ever the slut for ink, Strope realized he had to do it. I spent a few laps behind the wheel of the car, but it was Aaron Ogawa from Hotchkis that got it turned around exiting a corner. He was less afraid to spin it than we were, partly because he's Strope's brother-in-law. The spin was not the fault of the chassis, but rather the enormous torque from the 520ci Boss 429-based Godzilla under the hood and Aaron's aggressive right foot on the corner exit. It was totally understandable, and since the car didn't get a scratch or make it to the dirt, quite fun to watch. The car began its life as a promotional tool for Anvil Auto, which makes a bunch of carbon fiber parts for muscle cars and aims its marketing directly at the ...
  • Irish Uilleann Pipes. Gay McKeon plays a slow air & set dance from the playing of the great Leo Rowsome (Musician, Teacher & Uilleann Pipe maker). Recorded in Ned O'Shea's Pub ( The Merchant ) Dublin. This pub is famous for it's set dancing and traditional Irish music sessions. Gay Mc Keon took an interest in uilleann piping in the 1960's under the tutelage of Leo Rowsome at the Piper's Club on Thomas Street in Dublin's city centre. Understandably, Leo had a profound influence on Gay's playing as did the musicians who would visit the club. Pipers such as Dan O'Dowd, Mick Touhy, Sean Seery, Tommy Reck, Willie Clancy and Peadar Broe. Gay was also heavily influenced by many of the fiddle players who lived and played in Dublin at that time - such as Chieftain, Sean Keane. At an early age, Gay's interest in slow air playing was encouraged by Dan O'Dowd, Peter Flynn and Matt Kiernan. After Leo Rowsome's death in 1970, Gay sourced much of his repertoire from published collections such as Breathnach's Ceol Rince Na hEireann. Gay has recorded and toured with artists including Christy Moore, Maddy Prior and June Tabor and has recorded on numerous compilation albums including The Ace and Deuce of Piping Vol. 2 and The Piper's Rock as well as a solo album Irish Piping Tradition, and a trio CD with his two sons Conor and Sean entitled The Dusty Miller. Gay has also produced a number of acclaimed recordings of Uilleann piping for other artistes. Since the mid 1970's Gay has toured and broadcast extensively ...
  • Exercise bike generator uses car alternator Understandably, this is not going to save the planet or signifigantly reduce your electric bill but it will give you really intense workout. It just seemed to make good sense that an alternator would work well since it is already voltage-regulated and cheap & easy to obtain. It is important to get the alternator spinning before you energize the rotating field or it will be very hard to get it up to speed. The amount of power you can get depends on how strong your legs are and the size of the inverter you use. I doubt the alternator could be maxed out with human power. Of course, you could modify the alternator if you wanted to. I've gotten 160 amps before out of a modified Delcotron. This one puts out 35 amps. Now, I realize some people would ask whats the point of all this. Well, whats the point of a stationary bike anyways? You expend energy for nothing as it goes nowhere. At least you could run a TV, stereo, lights, or whatever while you're at your exercise routine. Some of you auto electric experts might want to point out the seemingly high voltage and say "Hey, it should be no more than 13.8 volts" but this is a $3.50 volt meter!
  • Diverse - Certified (With Lyrics) Song: Certified Artist: Diverse Album: One AM Samples: Betty Davis - Walking Up The Road Lots of guys been asking for lyrics to this song. I couldn't find them either so I did this vid instead. I wrote down the lyrics by listening to the track so if you have any complaints please feel free to speak up. Your comment will be greatly appreciated and then discarded. Lyrics: I dont believe you're ready for this. Are you ready for this? We'd like to capture your minds right now. Take you a little bit higher. With a little black rock. Rock it, rock. Rock it, rock. Rock is so... Yo, Rock is so neo for my people. This cerebral law, bleed and fought. Brought on by my alter ego, I halt like the desert eagle. We talk the crust feeble minded mother***ers Uncover they gliss 'cause it's not on your wrist. Givin' you somethin' to twist up, Lift up and breath in, I let it resonate. Elevate you like smoke that broke through heaven's gate. Some estimate that I can take it wherever it leaves me. This ain't easy but I'm steady gettin' my elbows greasy, Puttin' my back in it. Accent it with facts in it. This a reality. Radically left wing and my next, breedin' with ***. Gs and inanimate objects, with prospects and movements. Supreme, you said yourself. Who else would I represent? While time leavin' evidence, I'm conceivin' the head of it. Receivement try to see me at eye to eye level. With 6 shots pumpin' plots, fierce to pierce metal. Your armor no match for me. Understandably so. Yo, Who ...
