Bouncer Faces Charges Of Kidnapping, Unarmed Robbery " A disturbing viral video documents a frightening four minutes in the bathroom of a Worcester strip club. Police say the star of the home digital is a 35-year-old bouncer at Platinum Premier Gentelman's club. The You Tube video shows Easton Byfield confronting an unidentified 25-year-old man in May of last year, accusing him of dealing drugs at the club, and ordering him to empty his pockets. Byfield is seen looking through and attempting to make a call on the man's phone, as he protests the invasion of privacy. Without warning, the man is punched four times in the face and head, and then ordered to kneel down and pray, saying "oh great (expletive) brown dude." At least once, the man tries to escape the bathroom but is blocked and the door is locked. The man is finally allowed to leave after having his belongings tossed at him, minus the money in his wallet--which he's told is his "sacrifice." Police arrested Byfield on Friday as the recording came to light, charged with assault and battery, kidnapping, unarmed robbery. He's also charged with filing a false police report. Officials say after the initial incident, Byfield went to them, claiming he was the one assaulted by the 25-year- old."

Officer James Mandarino is facing charges of aggravated battery and official misconduct after he was caught on video beating an unarmed motorist. The video, recorded March 28 after a traffic stop, shows Mandarino getting out of his squad car with his gun drawn, and approaching an SUV driven by 28 year old Ronald Bell of Streamwood. Bell is seen with his hands up for about a minute and a half before Mandorino orders and then pulls him to the ground. The video shows Mandorino beating Bell with his baton 15 times in 13 seconds. All the while, Bell is trying to protect himself. He was beaten on the head, back and arms and suffered a concussion and required seven stitches to close a gash on his right ear. Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez announced the charges Thursday after a two week investigation. "The conduct displayed on the video by this officer is not only disturbing, it's outrageous and it's unacceptable," Alvarez said. Marianna: After being horrified that the young man on the ground that had been shot in the back, the next thing that struck me was the incompetency of the city to properly train their police officers. From the limited information in the video, the police officers appeared jumpy and ill prepared for the situation, which helped lead to the one officer drawing his weapon on a person that was already apprehended, handcuffed and restrained. Officer Troy Meade was charged last fall with first-degree manslaughter in the June 10 death of Niles Meservey. On Thursday, prosecutors added the more serious charge. The 41-year-old officer remains free as he awaits trial scheduled next month. In court papers, the 11-year police veteran indicates he'll maintain the shooting was in self defense. Meade was not immediately arraigned on the new charge. His lawyer, David Allen, says he thinks prosecutors lack probable cause to charge Meade with murder. The shooting happened as Meade was trying to get the drunken man out of his car. The 51-year-old Meservey was shot seven times as he sat at the wheel of his car in a parking lot. Meservey's family has filed a claim against the city of Everett, demanding as much as $15 million.
