O sages standing in God's holy fire As in the gold mosaic of a wall, Come from the holy fire, perne in a gyre, And be the singing-masters of my soul. Consume my heart away; sick with desire And fastened to a dying animal It knows not what it is; and gather me Into the artifice of eternity. Baldrs draumar Edda Sæmundar Baldur's Dream (as translated by WH Auden & PB Taylor) The gods hurried to their hall of council, Gathered together, goddesses with them, All-powerful, eager to unriddle Baldur's dream that such dread portended. Up rose Odhinn, unaging magician, Harnesses Sleipnir, the eight-legged, Sped down from Asgard to Hel's Deep. The blood-dabbled hound of Hel faced him, Howling in frenzy at the father of runes. The High One halted at the eastern gate, Where loomed a tumulus, tomb of a witch. Runes he chanted, charms of power: Her spectre rose whom his spell commanded To enlighten the god with the lore of the dead. Who is he that on Hel intrudes? Who calls me up, increasing my grief.? Drenched by hail, driven by storm, Dew-frozen, I am dead long. I am Struggler's Son, Strider, Way-Tamer, Your secrets I ask: all earth's I know. Why are Hel's halls hung with jewels, Her chambers rivers of red gold? For Baldur our mead is brewed strong In a shining cauldron, a shield over it. Odhinn on high in heart despairs. Unwilling my words: I would no more. Far-seeing witch, your words unriddle. More will I ask: all will I know. Who shall slay Baldur, best of the gods, Who suck the life from the son of Odhinn? Hodur the blind the branch shall throw, From his brother's body the blood to drain, Sucking the life from the son of Odhinn. Unwilling my words: I would no more. Far-seeing witch, your words unriddle. More will I ask: all will I know. By whose hand shall Hodur fall And Baldur's ...

A Feast Unknown! (Chapters 1-2) of the Multi-Media/Experimental Film cycle Adapted from the book by Philip Jose Farmer, by Jason Robert Bell, was performed in 30 minute segments of the book with pre-recorded audio and a video projection of thousands of original drawings illustrating the story. With permission from the Author. Farmer deconstructed his two all time favorite characters from his childhood, Tarzan and Doc Savage (called under different names), and has them doing their best to kill each other. There is one problem though; they are being manipulated by a secret group of immortals called The Nine that rule the world and every act of violence results in an erection and to kill results in an orgasm. A Feast Unknown: Volume IX of the Memoirs of Lord Grandrith (1969), is a brilliant exploration of the sado-masochistic fantasies latent in much heroic fiction, and succeeds as satire, as sf and as a tribute to the creations of Edgar Rice Burroughs and Lester Dent. The entire book is an insane parody of action adventure. Where everything that lies in the subtext of "super-hero" fiction is exposed. The "heroes" are unstoppable, un-ageing; millionaire ubermensches super geniuses that have finally found their match in each other. The imagery is so brutal and over the top and presented without a spark of internal irony, making the entire enterprise as shocking to read as it must have been when the book was published in 1969. Farmer's work pushes suspension of disbelief beyond the threshold of ...
Brain Enhancement and Anti-Aging Techniques How to build your superior_mind with a side-order of anti-aging. I offer this advice based on my current internet findings - so it would be a good idea for us to continue to cross-reference any information we have with as much peer-reviewed material as possible. --- Video Summary: Excercise more - minimum 4 minutes of intense cardio - like circuit training for example and maybe 15 - 60 minutes of general cardio every other day (like swimming, biking, running or jump-rope). Proper nutrition - with lots of antioxidants and a good nights sleep. Blueberries, rasberries, strawberries - great for neurogenesis and age prevention. I also recommend including spinach and walnuts in your diet. So intense cardio will improve oxygen supply to the brain and improve concentration for extended periods of time. Other muscle resistance excercise will also help stimulate neurogenesis and have an anti-aging effect. No smoking or drinking - at least try to minimize as much as possible. Alcohol is more destructive than most ppl realize and can effect future offspring. I advise using pycnogenol which has a very strong anti-aging (or even reverse-aging with proper exercise and diet) effect. Nutrition - no fried foods, no alcohol, no sweets - reduce glucose dependancy(ie: avoid fries, eat less bread, no cake, etc) and add blue or red colored fruit like blueberries, strawberries, rasberries, etc - to your diet. Also make sure to add foods which contain Omega 3-6-9(like flax, walnuts or tofu ...

Dysonage - Troy & Drake New audio: Angels on the moon - Thriving Ivory Original audio: This is how I disappear - My chemical romance [You can search for the song and then play it in the background to get the right feel for the vid.] This vid brings you an insight look at the difficult relationship these two share. I have used Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as stand in's for the characters as its just a novel in the making at the moment, but I did this for self inspiration. The clips are sectioned by short blackouts, and I hope each of them are easy to understand. For instance, the first few seconds is about Troy being transformed into a vampire, seeing his sire suffer and then being thrust back a hundred years, where he has to live through all of the years again unaging to reach the present. When he is there he turns Drake into a vampire too to avoid lonliness. I forgot to create the scene for the massacre of his family though, but then it cuts to them working together to hunt. And then the demon comes and possesses Drake's weakened state, diving us into the story of torment and brotherly devotion. Drake must fight against the demon to stop from killing his brother, Troy. As does Troy with the revelation that Drake is never going to get better.

Rifftrax - The Boy In The Plastic Bubble Sample The past decade has not been kind to John Travolta. It began with Battlefield Earth, and ended with the movies about the middle-aged guys on motorcycles (Wild Hogs), the middle-aged adoptive fathers (Old Dogs), the middle-aged guy who found valuable dancing shoes (Gold Clogs), the middle-aged children's book author who runs at a medium pace (Roald Jogs), and the middle-aged guys who flip milk caps in a meat storage locker (Cold Pogs). It may seem like Travolta has gotten a raw deal from movie-going audiences. Despite the fact that he hasn't had a hit in a long time, believes some crazy things about Thetans, and is starting to resemble the batty aunt you've never seen wear anything but a muumuu, you still feel like maybe the guys deserves a fairer shake than he's gotten. Then you revisit The Boy in the Plastic Bubble and remember that, no, he in fact doesn't. His shorts alone in the 1976 made for TV movie render him undeserving of our sympathy til the end of time. Travolta plays Todd Lu***, a boy who was born without any immunities and cannot venture outside his sterile environment, lest he slip on a banana peel and end up on America's Funniest Home Videos. He observes the girl next door's every move through his binoculars, and she responds how all females would in this situation: be finding this cute and falling in love with him. Book Trailer - Light of Ar "Serehahn will not be careless." Everything good in the utopian world Nrathermë comes from Serehahn. By his hand, his people have become a civilization of sensible heroes who make their own heaven. In less than a hundred years, he has transformed Nrathermë from a small, lonely planet bound by illness and mortality to the great unaging paradise that has spread to take in thousands of worlds. But Serehahn is a monster. He and his diabolical Amathoar guard a secret known only by them and by the noble Omathaar who fight them. A secret that will determine the future of all worlds. A secret that can topple Serehahn, or else lead him to godlike power. A secret bound around Earth. Life must go on for Earthmen like Tom Pratt and Sarah Trotter, even while they struggle to comprehend their importance in the supernatural war between Serehahn and the Omathaar. But though romances and feuds continue, and the Omathaar guard and inform the Earthmen, Serehahn has already unleashed an unstoppable attack meant to acquire the limitless power bound in Earth. Chevelle - Highlands Apparition song from Chevelle's new album "Sci Fi Crimes" Hope you like it :)
Liars - Sailing To Byzantium Sailing to Byzantium (Yeats poem) That is no country for old men. The young In one another's arms, birds in the trees - Those dying generations - at their song, The salmon-falls, the mackerel-crowded seas, Fish, flesh, or fowl, commend all summer long Whatever is begotten, born, and dies. Caught in that sensual music all neglect Monuments of unageing intellect. An aged man is but a paltry thing, A tattered coat upon a stick, unless Soul clap its hands and sing, and louder sing For every tatter in its mortal dress, Nor is there singing school but studying Monuments of its own magnificence; And therefore I have sailed the seas and come To the holy city of Byzantium. Once out of nature I shall never take My bodily form from any natural thing, But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make Of hammered gold and gold enameling To keep a drowsy Emperor awake; Or set upon a golden bough to sing To lords and ladies of Byzantium Of what is past, or passing, or to come. -- William Butler Yeats
Chevelle- Highland's Apparition September 26th 2009 Atlanta GA @ The Tabernacle. Highland's Apparition: See it Startled Afternoon i had to ask Or dare i, ever know Tell us We are demented Watch as attention span Hold so fast Then go up in smoke I don't think you're Nervous enough It happened to show its own face Search for the soulless ends Now point him towards rest Culprits, shudder Apparitions left in time If we're honest, sight unknown Crowing, frozen, bedroom Awoke up certain lays a tomb Her tree holds it Unbeknownst still sending chills [CHORUS] You won't find me curling up A place that should make sense Well excuse me for this Better judgement Night is so worth waiting for A blinding scare so cauterizing Arms out pointing sit and stare at This proof This living proof This proof This living proof Sun's up Braver Hand and legs untouched Before we forget Save this Unaging proof [CHORUS]
