Obsessive Jealousy: The Ugliness Nobody Wants To Speak Out About. I've suffered cruelly with jealousy. During the time my BDD was most severe, I locked myself away from as many outlets for other women to appear in as possible. I threw away my TV, I hid anything a woman may appear on (including products such as moisturizers, body lotions, etc) in case my boyfriend saw them and was attracted to them. Yet at the same time, in moments of rumination, I delved into fashion sites such as to root around for attractive women I could model myself on. Despite my attempts to shun the media, this was actually a time in my life I exposed myself to more women than ever, before or since. I wanted to examine them, compare myself to them so as to pinpoint what it was that they had which I did, so I could alter myself to become more like them. I still crave plastic surgery (rhinoplasty and breast enlargement) to make myself resemble various attractive women I believe will make me physically desirable to my partner. I believe I am not attractive. Nobody finds me desirable. If I am to be wanted I need to make alterations to myself. On an intellectual level, I realise this is pointless and that the only thing which truly would make me undesirable, IS the jealousy and self image problems THEMSELVES. Jealousy is one of the ugliest and most damaging emotions. My heart cannot grasp this and I'm still fighting it.
