chevak still photos 2005-2009 Tundra fishing hunting Here are some still shots of Chevak, AK. Chevak is a bush (rural) village about 15 miles east of the Bering Sea. The closest villages are Hooper Bay and Scammon Bay, both about 20 miles. From Anchorage you fly to Bethel the hub community and from there head to Chevak. The River and Sea are extremely important to the lively hood of the Cup'ik people that live here. Tundra, berries, moose, seal, Fish, and other native foods along with the local grocery stores all help these people survive. Chevak is a friendly village and is a beautiful place to be!!! As long as you can handle the treeless tundra. And contrary to outsiders beliefs about everywhere in Alaska, the sun rises and sets everyday even in the winter here in Chevak. Time Tom :: A CoD4 Montage (Scrapped) The beginning of a scrapped montage for I Pro Tommy's video competition. He gave me permission to use the song, check him out here: ------------------------------------------------- Ideas: So the first 30 seconds or so was for the intro, and I was planning on having some fly-bys and theatre work on CoD4 maps along with the title, song, etc. But I couldn't find any HD footage of CoD4 theatre work, so can't finish that. The first clip was going to have some emblem of sorts to cover up the "____ is online" and to tell the audience his Gamertag. The second clip I really like how it turned out. The only part that is meh is the fact that the first scene in that clip has a different colour correction than the other scenes. Due to ugly reasons, I didn't try to find a workaround to a visual problem preventing the color correction from being ***y on the clip. Overall, I do like this. But there's no way that I could finish it, make an intro, an outro, the emblem for the first clip, render it, and upload it all before tomorrow. But this is all for fun anyway, and I did enjoy myself :)

Longnose Lancetfish Ate PLASTIC A longnose lancetfish washed up on Mad River Beach in Humboldt County, California on Nov 19, 2008. It had a plastic bottle taking up a lot of space in its stomach. It also contained a candy wrapper, a squid beak, a small cod or tomcod, a topminnow I think, a piece of kelp, and a bunch of what looked like parasitic nematode worms. This is the third lancetfish I've found on this beach in about 8 years. This was the most complete one, and it was still very colorful as you can see. Seems like it would be difficult to get enough to eat with a shampoo bottle filling your stomach... These fish are found from the surface to 2000 meters deep according to CA Dept of Fish and Game. They obviously eat a variety of things. The skull is very light weight -- almost paper thin bones. The longest teeth grow from the roof of its mouth. The gill rakers are also very sharp. Species name is Alepisaurus ferox.
