These tumours range from benign to malignant with the potential for metastases and can be difficult to diagnose depending on the type. Thymic carcinoma has no histological features and is consequently can only be identified by excluding the possibility of lung metastases, however thymomas are carcinomas of the thymic gland and are more easily identified, giving thymoma patients have a much better prognosis. Prof den Bakker discusses how thymomas are typed and staged, outlines the treatment options available for thymoma patients and explains the relative merits of different classification systems for thymic tumours.

He was always teasing me about being in my band. Wendell was actually a pianist and specialized in Rag Time and Jazz. RIP Fubuki Nov 2004 - Feb 15, 2011 Fubuki has been eating and drinking like a horse ever since she was started on prednisolone in early june for the thymoma discovered during a June 2nd x- ray, ( ). she went from 5.0 to 5.8 lbs in just 7 weeks december 18: new x-rays show that the mass in her chest has not increased in size while on the prednisolone, but right now Fubuki is now battling a really bad gastrointestinal bacterial infection. She's racked up over $2200 in vet bills this year but we're not going to give up on her. hang in there buki January 3: fubuki is on a last effort to try and get her intestines moving again. she is being syringe fed critical care every few hours. she is still on prednisolone, but also flagyl, reglan, and baytril every day. The vet thinks the original mass was cancer, and that it has spread to ger GI causing irreversible stasis. :( February 6: fubuki may be at her final stages of cancer. She has developed Sebaceous Adenitis ( ) which causes her skin to secrete a thick waxy buildup and her fur to fall out. She cannot be treated with cyclosporin as she is already on one immunosupressant . she still likes head-rubs and is responsive to me, but she pretty much spends the day in her bed or in the 'buncave' in the living room. She is eating greens, but we have been unsuccessful in getting her back on a hay or pellet diet which she needs to have the necessary fiber she needs to maintain her gut. We are now playing this on a very short term basis ...

Enjoying A Nice Day In California 5-4-11.mp4 I wanted everyone to see how I look after 7 chemotherapy treatments. I had a follow-up appointment with the oncologist Wednesday 4-27-11 to review the most recent CT Scan of my pelvis, abdomen, and chest. As stated in the past, I now have 3 Stage IV Cancers, Thymoma, Lymphoma, and Bone Cancer. The thymus tumor (Thymoma) is shrinking. The lymph node tumors (Lymphoma) are shrinking. However, the spinal bone lesions (Bone Cancer) are unchanged. I also will start in May 2011 getting Zometa (Bone treatments) monthly to strengthen the spine hopefully to prevent any more compound fractures I experienced in the past of the vertebrae in the back. The doctor stated that the overall results show the cancer is under control or improved. My 8th of 8 or final chemotherapy treatments start 5/16/11. Dr. Cheung will give me a break from the chemotherapy treatments and will schedule the next CT Scan to review my progress in July. The doctor also stated the Cancers will most likely increase in the future, but we still can't pinpoint a start date of the recurrence or increase. I can only hope the cancer has not spread by then as I am told I will not have a feeling, pain, or sign to detect whether the cancer has returned. Bottom line is, the cancer treatments are to continue for the foreseeable future. I don't know when I will be able to return to work. Jerry Unser: The Rise of a Championship Dynasty Honolulu, HI, September 11, 2008 Production has begun on an independent documentary film about Jerry Unser. Jerry: The Rise of a Championship Dynasty. Motorsports journalist and photographer Earl Ma who lost his 3-year battle with cancer back in June 2007 wrote the script, which depicts Unsers life while he was in the Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor and racing stockcars in Honolulu Stadium. Today would have been Mas 37th birthday and producers have decided that launching production today would be the best way to celebrate his life. Jerry Unser (oldest brother to Louie, Bobby and Al) raced stockcars along side Hawaii drivers in Honolulu Stadium during the early to mid 1950s. While racing in Hawaii Unser worked his way up the grid to become NASCAR champion and became a local hero and celebrity. At the time stockcar racing drew more spectators than any other stick and ball sport played at the stadium, which was known by its nick name the Termite Palace. Initially Ma was going to write a book about Unsers life but when he showed friends who worked in the TV business the draft, they suggested that the writings be used for a documentary film. By 2004 Ma had gathered most of the old photos and he was already and friends with the Unser family.
