  • Human Brain Magnetic Resonance / Diffusion Tensor Imaging DT-MRI (Diffusion Tensor - Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is an advanced medical imaging technique that allows in vivo measuring of location and orientation of nerve fibers in human brain. Water molecules move (diffuse) along nerve fibers, and the diffusion anisotropy can be measured and displayed. Functional MRI method measures blood oxygen level and thus neuronal activity of the brain. By combining both techniques neural bundles involved in certain activities can be visualized. • Rodney Mullen Uber Light & Tensor Response Truck Review pt 2 This is part 2 of a three-part review of the Rodney Mullen Uber Light deck and Tensor Response trucks from Dwindle Distribution. In the review, I go over the technology of the board, and show you how the gear holds up through various forms of skateboarding (street, ramp, and other obstacles). I tried to make this review as thorough and fair as possible, so I sincerely hope it benefits anyone interested in this particular gear. Please keep in mind, I'm just one skater, so your experience and reaction to the board and trucks may differ. • Upgrading Tensors to Mathematica Fields This talk was presented at the April APS meeting in the new directions in particle physics section. We start with the observation that tensors are a group under the addition operator, while groups using multiplication. Our understanding of mass does not work from atoms to the origin of galaxies, so perhaps it is time to challenge our acceptance of the math tools. I show how the mathematical field of quaternions could result in the same action as the tensor approach. New physics can be introduced by substituting groups with new symmetries. The graph theory of real, complex, quaternions, and hypercomplex numbers is shown. The talk ends with a plug for my site,

  • The Stand-Up Physicist: A Personal Issue with Tensors or Peace Through Maxwell In this show by the Stand-Up Physicist, Doug Sweetser delves into an issue he does not quite understand regarding tensors. First tensors are defined, and the odd Greek letter operations explained. A type of 4D number, the quaternions, is shown to do the same work without Greek. The subject of his confusion are the tensor rules for derivatives. It is shown that quaternions to the same thing less confusion. A road to the Maxwell equations is sketched, showing the power of using quaternions

  • Diffusion Tensor Imaging of Human Brain DT-MRI (Diffusion Tensor - Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is an advanced medical imaging technique that allows in vivo measuring of location and orientation of nerve fibers in human brain. Water molecules move (diffuse) along nerve fibers, and the diffusion anisotropy can be measured and displayed. Here, a 3D brain tensor field is sliced with a plane, and diffusion tensors are displayed as rectangular glyphs. Colors of the glyphs correspond to orientation of nerve fibers, and their orientation corresponds to diffusion anisotropy. • Vector Fields and Tensors Differential Geometry Part 4 Vector fields and the concept of parallel transport of a vector are introduced. Cartesian tensors are defined using the concept of tensor product which "glues" two vectors together. This leads us to scalar products of tensors and vectors, non-comutative property, the unit tensor, and the composition of a tensor from tensor products of the Cartesian unit vectors.

  • Tensor Visualizer A program that visualizes the stress (stretching and compression) of a tectonic plate sinking under another. The original data was simulated. The color scheme allows the user to gauge the temperature. The rendering methods employed are: textures to illustrate stretching/compression, vector glyphs to indicate direction, and streamlines. This was a ECS 177 (UC Davis) class group project.

  • Massage ITB and tensor fasciae latae muscles by yourself medicalmassage- Symptoms of tensor fasciae latae muscle syndrome including ITB disfunctions are often confused with painful clinical manifestation of lower back disorders, hip disorders etc. Because of this confusions very often tensor fasciae latae muscle are not addressed properly and many people chronically suffering from pains and limitation of range of motion in this region. Therefore for example, if you injured your quadriceps, fasciae latae muscle syndrome/ ITB protocols should be implemented. In the subsequent fragment from the self-management Sports Injuries DVD #5 Boris demonstrates fasciae latae muscle syndrome/ ITB Protocol that is beneficial in case of any of the described disorders. Boris DVDs stand apart from many other back massage videos and offer a variety of wonderful and simple back and full body massage technique. Medical massage isn't Swedish or *** massage. It was developed by various scientific institutions in the countries of the former Soviet Union and other former Soviet Bloc countries. All of them are developed and adjusted from protocols of Medical Massage. They will teach you how to massage your back, neck, sub-scapular region and many other regions in your body. These techniques are very beneficial for a health of a person in any age. You can be a young and hot girl and have a very ***y body or a young guy, straight or gay all this doesn't matter.
