  • Carl Gustav Jung on Kundalini (full story) "Jung amplifies the image of the snake in the abdomen by reference to the serpent in Kundalini Yoga. "I told you," Jung says, "the case of that intuitive girl who suddenly came out with the statement that she had a black snake in her belly." He situates the snake in the context of the collective unconscious. "Well now, that is a collective symbol," he says. "That is not an individual fantasy, it is a collective fantasy." The image of the snake in the abdomen, Jung says, "is well known in India." Although the woman "had nothing to do with India" and although the image "is entirely unknown to us," he says that "we have it too, for we are all similarly human." When the woman first told Jung about the snake in her belly, he wondered whether "perhaps she was crazy," but then he realized that "she was only highly intuitive." She had intuited a typical, or archetypal, image. "In India," Jung says, "the serpent is at the basis of a whole philosophical system, of Tantrism; it is Kundalini, the Kundalini serpent" (1977: 322). According to Jung, "This is something known only to a few specialists, generally it is not known that we have a serpent in the abdomen" (1977: 322-3). The Kundalini serpent is coiled quiescently at the base of the spine. When this energy is aroused in the practice of Kundalini Yoga, it uncoils and rises up the spine through six successive chakras, or centers of consciousness. This is what John Woodroffe (also known as Arthur Avalon) calls the "serpent power ...
  • Seg 3 - Suvarna Focus: Female Aghori - 08 May 12 - Suvarna News SUVARNA NEWS 24X7 - www.suvarnanews.tv - www.suvarnanews.tv - Suvarna Focus: Female Aghori - 08 May 12 - Aghori ascetics, while being devotees of the Hindu god Shiva, are monists who adhere to the common Hindu belief in liberation (moksha) from the cycle of reincarnation (samsara). This liberation is a realisation of the self's identity with the absolute. Because of this monistic doctrine, the Aghoris maintain that all opposites are identical and the conventional Hindu distinctions between purity and impurity are ultimately illusory. The Aghoris are ascetics living in cremation grounds, smearing themselves with the ashes of corpses and eating from a cranial begging bowl. They are attributed with eating corpse flesh, which may be a once in a lifetime ritual act, and meditating seated upon a corpse and thereby gaining control over the corpse's spirit. They have also been accused of practising human sacrifice. The Aghoris claim to perform a secret Tantric ritual involving *** with a lower caste, menstruating woman during which the Aghori becomes Shiva and his partner Shiva's female energy or shakti (see Tantrism). The purpose of embracing pollution in these practices is realisation of non-duality through transcending social taboos and seeing the illusory nature of all conventional categories. Although akin to the Kapalika ascetics of medieval Kashmir, with whom there may be a historical connection, the Aghoris trace their origin to Kina Ram, an ascetic who is said to have ...

Check the links below for more informations about the 432Hz. Indications about the use: just sit comfortable, play the video and while relaxing bring the focus to the vicinity of the coccygeal plexus beneath the sacrum-it. NOTE: The Audio is tuned at 432Hz but contains a binaural beat (about 8Hz frequency) which "puzzle" the 432Hz frequency. If you misure the frequency with a tuner, it will perceive a random 440Hz but your brain and your body receive 2 different and separate waves: 432+binaural. • Shri Vidya Shri Vidya The Shri Vidya is a Tantric tradition of Shaktas. It maintains a monistic metaphysics, that ultimately there is only one reality in the cosmos, the reality of consciousness identified with the Goddess Tripurasundari. Tripurasundari, a tantric form of Shri/Lakshmi, is manifested in her mantra (called the shri vidya) and in her sacred diagram of nine intersecting triangles within a circle (the shri cakra). The Shri Vidya devotee seeks for liberation from the cycle of reincarnation (samsara) by realising his identity with the Goddess. The Shri Vidya goes back to the 10th or 11th century and is still a thriving tradition in south India. Its origins lie in the non-dualistic traditions of Kashmir Shaivism, though the tradition traces its own line of gurus back to Shankara (788-820 CE), the famous Advaita Vedantin. Indeed, because of this linkage to orthodoxy, the tradition has lost much of its Tantric character. But the origins of the Shri Vidya are undoubtedly within Tantrism, specifically in the distinction in the Shakta Tantras between those of the Kalikula and those of the Shrikula. The Shri Vidya develops from the texts of the Shrikula. Among these, of particular importance is the Yoginihrdaya dated to the 11th century. There is a tradition of independent texts and commentaries, particularly noteworthy is Lakshmidhara (17th-18th centuries) who wrote a commentary on the Yoginihrdaya. The Shri Vidya has aligned itself with brahmanical or ...
  • Worship of Goddess Adhiparasakthi Worship of God in the form of Supreme Goddess Adhiparasakthi is similar to Tantrism and Saktism. However, this worship is different from Tantric, Vedic, and other forms in a very important respect. Most Eastern spirituality is intended for enlightenment and transformation of the individual performing the worship, meditation, etc. The worship described below is intended for the enlightenment and salvation of mankind as a whole. Tantric teachings describe how it is possible for a single enlightened person to bring about worldwide enlightenment but it is not realistic. The Om Sakthi Movement strives to bring enlightenment through the collective efforts of many acting together. Instead of the worship being limited to a small group or single person, it frequently involves dozens, hundreds or thousands of people performing a huge velvi, or yagna. These ceremonies harness the same Goddess Power used in Tantra, not for enlightenment of the individual but for the entire world. Because all living things are part of the same whole, the progression of mankind toward enlightenment leads not only to peace among man but harmony with nature. Thus, performing these ceremonies brings material benefits to those performing the ceremony, the place where the ceremony is performed, and even people far removed from it. Ceremonies can be performed for the home, temple, city, country and entire world. The form of worship practiced utilizes the power behind sounds and symbols. These material ...

Dawn Cartwright has been teaching Tantra internationally since 1992 and is the founder of Chandra Bindu Tantra Institute, where individuals, couples and families are supported in reaching their ecstatic potential using the practices, meditations and techniques of Prasava Tantra. • Songs of Kabir - कबीर के दोहे - English translation by Tagore Kabīr (also Kabīra) (Hindi: कबीर) (1440--1518) was a mystic poet and sant of India, whose writings have greatly influenced the Bhakti movement. The name Kabir comes from Arabic al-Kabīr which means 'The Great' -- the 37th name of God in Islam. Apart from having an important influence on Sikhism, Kabir's legacy is today carried forward by the Kabir Panth ("Path of Kabir"), a religious community that recognizes him as its founder and is one of the Sant Mat sects. Its members, known as Kabir panthis, are estimated to be around 9600000. They are spread over north and central India, as well as dispersed with the Indian diaspora across the world, up from 843171 in the 1901 census. His writings include Bijak, Sakhi Granth, Kabir Granthawali and Anurag Sagar. Kabir was influenced by the prevailing religious mood of his times, such as old Brahmanic Hinduism, Tantrism, the teachings of Nath yogis and the personal devotionalism of South India mixed with the imageless God of Islam. The influence of these various doctrines is clearly evident in Kabir's verses. Eminent historians like RC Majumdar, PN Chopra, BN Puri and MN Das have held that Kabir is the first Indian saint to have harmonised Hinduism and Islam by preaching a universal path which both Hindus and Muslims could tread together. But there are a few critics who contest such claims. The basic religious principles he espoused are simple. According to Kabir, all life is an interplay of two spiritual principles. One is the ...

  • Odissi: BATU by ARADHANA PANIGRAHI, OM Kalinga Kala Parishad BATU, the last part of the Odissi dance performed by Aradhana Panigrahi and group, disciples of Guru Smt Rashmi Mishra of OM Kalinga Kala Parishad, Bhubaneswar. Also known as Sthayee Nrutya or Batuka Bhairava (Furious Dance) it is performed in the honor of Lord Shiva- the cosmic Lord of Dance. It is one of the 64 furious-aspects of Lord Shiva known. The origin of dance is believed to be from Tantrism that had flourished in Orissa. Linga Purana and Mahanirvanatantra give an elaborate description of Batuka Bhairava in three aspects, and the results of their worship have also been explained elaborately in the texts. Battu Nrutya is an item of pure Nrutya (Dance)and remains the most difficult item of Odissi dance. The dance begins with a series of sculpturesque poses depicting such actions as the playing of a Veena (Lute), Mardala or Pakhawaj (Drum), Karatala (Cymbals) and Venu (Flute), that brings out the interrelationships between this dance and the dance sculptures adorning the temples of Orissa. These poses are stringed together with steps in different rhythms. There is no song or recitation accompanying the dance, but throughout the item a refrain of rhythmic syllables is provided. The accompanying refrain is in the form of one line of Ukuta and as this is recited in the Tala, different Jathi-patterns are improvised and are executed with the feet. Some Tala variations are introduced and each sequence of the dance terminates with a Tehdi known as Katam. The last sequence ...

It uses a technique commonly called palm healing as a form of complementary and alternative medicine and is sometimes classified as oriental medicine by some professional bodies.[2] Through the use of this technique, practitioners claim to transfer healing energy in the form of ki through the palms.[3] Tantra (Sanskrit: तन्त्र , Oriya: "loom, warp"; hence "principle, system, doctrine", from the two root words tanoti "stretch, extend", and trayati "liberation"), anglicised tantricism or tantrism or tantram, is an esoteric current of Hinduism. The word Tantra also applies to any of the scriptures (called "Tantras") commonly identified with the worship of Shakti.[1] Tantra deals primarily with spiritual practices and ritual forms of worship, which aim at liberation from ignorance and rebirth,[1] the universe being regarded as the divine play of Shakti and Shiva.[1] Tantrism originated in the early centuries CE and developed into a fully articulated tradition by the end of the Gupta period. It has influenced the Hindu, Sikh, Bön, Buddhist, and Jain religious traditions. Along with Buddhism, Tantra in its various forms has spread to East Asia ...

  • Yogini Temples of Titilagarh , Odisha 64-Yogini temples at Ranipur-Jharial village near Titilagarh,Bolangir,Orissa, A 9th. century CE monument now abandoned both by the ASI and the state government. This video taken in Samsung Mobile on 17th December 2012 Located in the verdant environs of the Titilagarh sub-division in Balangir district of Orissa, between the twin villages of Ranipur-Jharial, bears strong traces of their ancient heritage. Also known as 'Soma Tirtha' in scriptures, the archaeological site dates back to the 9th/10th century CE, probably built during the reign of Somavanshi keshari kings.Saivism, Vaisnavism, Buddhism and Tantrism obviously enjoyed a great deal of influence in the region. The Hypethral temple (round temples having no roof) which is one of the four remaining rare monuments of 64 Yogini shrines provides a glimpse into the occult practices from the medieval times that are still alive in Orissa's tribal traditions and folklore. The temple houses sandstone images of the three-faced Shiva embracing Parvati, standing at the canter of the temple encircled by 64 images of the Yogini goddesses in various positions/mudras.It is one of the four famous Yogini temples in India. The other three are located at Hirapur (near Bhubaneswar), Khajuraho and Bheraghat (near Jabalpur). There are numerous small stone temples made for meditation where only one person can sit facing either east or the west facing the Sun. Out of 64 Yoginis only 48 are left now rest were stolen during 20th Century..
  • Definitions Of Tantra - The Mystery Of Tantra Mantra SHILAJIT - The Secret Of Tantra. Hindu and Buddhist yoga traditions, mantra and yantra play an important role in Tantra and tantrism. Many people still consider tantra to be full of obscenities and unfit for people of good taste. It is also often accused of being a kind of black magic. However, in reality, tantra is one of the most important Indian traditions, representing the practical aspect of the Vedic tradition. The religious attitude of the tantriks is fundamentally the same as that of the Vedic followers. The Meaning of "Tantra" The word "tantra" is derived from the combination of two words "tattva" and "mantra". "Tattva" means the science of cosmic principles, while "mantra" refers to the science of mystic sound and vibrations. Tantric Scriptures The main deities worshipped are Shiva and Shakti. In tantra there is a great significance of "bali" or animal sacrifices. Types & Terminology There are 18 "Agamas", which are also referred to as Shiva tantras, and they are ritualistic in character. There are three distinct tantrik traditions - Dakshina, Vama and Madhyama. Tantra (Sanskrit तन्त्र , "loom, warp"; hence "principle, system, doctrine", from the two root words tanoti "stretch, extend, expand", and trayati "liberation"), anglicised tantricism or tantrism or tantram, is the name scholars give to an inter-religious spiritual movement that arose in medieval India, expressed in scriptures (called "Tantras"). An important characteristic of ...
