  • What is Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome? Part One Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome is a form of Dysautonomia. It is a life altering condition that results in a variety of symptoms; the most common being low blood pressure (orthostatic intolerance) and a high heart rate. To find out more, watch the video! I did my best to include as much information as possible - there was so much I wanted to say that it ended up being over ten minutes which is why there are two parts! :) My next videos will be more about my life and how POTS affects me. Please comment, message, & subscribe! I can't wait to talk to all of you. I hope you enjoy it. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I'm learning (& it's been a lot of fun). • Erik's battle with Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia (PSVT) While in class, Erik experiences extreme dizziness that forces him to see a Cardiologist. Shortly after it is determined that he has a condition known as Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia (PSVT). Erik discusses his treatment that went on during a course of two years and how it affected his high school life. If you have ever experienced any of these symptoms it is critical you see your primary physician and or Cardiologist.

  • POTS = Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. I'm Curing my POTS with my Rife Machine Just Like Fibromyalgia, CFS, and now POTS, when Dr.'s can't find the cause, they just slap a name on medical conditions. Trust me when I tell you there is always a cause. With POTS, they speculate it is caused by an unknown Viral or Bacterial condition. In my case and I'm sure many of you out there, it is being caused by LYME. Watch and see how a Rife Machine helps with this by killing off Lyme. Amazing !!!!
  • Lyme Tachycardia associated with Chronic Lyme Disease This is what I have every day. Some Dr.'s have written this off to Anxiety, but the problem is that I'm not anxious. This is an easy diagnosis when you can't come up with what the real cause is. I can always see the question mark over the ER Doctors heads when it gets out of control and I have to go in and get IV Beta Blockers to bring it down. Even my Cardiologist calls it Ideopathic Tachycardia, which simply means you have it, but we don't know why..... One Crazy Disease This Is !!!!!!!

  • Living With Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome This is an example of what a day (well a morning) is like living with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). I was feeling pretty good physically, so i'm able to actually do my makeup, go for a walk etc. But even on good days there are things i have to make sure i do and things i have to make sure i don't do! Emotionally it was a hard day for me for me, but I thought i would make this video to take my mind off of it. This was kind of put together pretty quickly so it's not the best. Lots of lighting problems as blinds were closed and open and closed again in my room. haha. But it was just for fun to give me something to do on a day when i had enough energy to do it! Hope you guys enjoy!

  • Supraventricular Tachycardia with Synchronized Cardioversion SVT Rate: 150bpm with no visible P waves (AHA 2005 Guidelines). Unstable patients needs immediate Synchronized Cardioversion. The machine synchronizes itself to your patients ventricular depolarization (QRS) but shock upon discharge on the relative refractory period during ventricular repolarization (downslope of the the T wave). This prevents an R-on-T Phenomenon (causes dysrhythmias). SVT, Atrial Flutter and PSVT responds better to 50-100 Joules for the first shock. This stuns all irritated sites hoping the inherent pacemaker (SA Node) takes over.
  • Pulseless Ventricular Tachycardia HIS Purkinjie Rate: 20-40bpm. Tachy Rate: more than 100bpm. Pulses must be verified to be absent before identifying this wide complex tachycardia to be Pulseless VT. This rhythm may or may not precede with pulses being present. But with this rate ventricular contraction does not allow ventricular filling therefor pulses are going to be absent at any given time. This rhythm can only last for a couple of minutes before turning into either VF or Asystole if no interventions are done immediately. Follow AHA ACLS Guidelines, VF Algorithm.
  • Sinus Tachycardia Inherent Rate: 100-150 beats per minute. P wave is visible, QRS is narrow, and T wave is present.

  • Atrial Tachycardia Atrial Tachycardia is caused by an irritated site in the Atria. It is regularly-regular with visible P waves (unlike SVT where the P waves are absent). Intervention are focused on correcting the causes depending on the patient's stability. Follow AHA 2005 Guidelines ACLS algorithms.

  • Ventricular Tachycardia Wide complex tachyardia with pulses present. Patients can be stable or unstable with this rhythm depending on the ventricular rate. The slower the rate, the more stable the patient is. The faster the rate, the more unstable the patient is. Such rhythm can become pulses and ACLS algorithm per VF protocols must be initiated immediately.
  • Supraventricular Tachycardia Supraventricular Tachycardia is caused by a re-entry of an electrical conduction through the AV Node (AVRT or AVNRT). It is oftenly used as a broad terminology for anything that's fast with narrow QRS complex (assumption is the irritated site is above the AV Junction) with hidden P waves. Interventions depends on the patient's stability: it can start from correcting the causes to vagal stimulation even to Adenosine administration or may even need immediate synchronized cardioversion (AHA ACLS Guidelines 2005).
  • Sinus Tachycardia with Bundle Branch Block Sinus Tachycardia 100-150 bpm (AHA Guidelines 2005). Impulses originated from the SA node with a notched R wave (making it look wider). There is a block in either the Left or Right bundle branches. 12-Lead ECG is needed to identify the delay of conduction. Modified Chest Leads (MCL) 1 or 6 are used for continuous monitoring.
