  • Functions of the Lymphatic System Part 2 Lymphatic System Functions : Lymphatic Detoxification : Lymphatic Disease, Lymphedema and Related Disorders The most prevalent lymphatic disorder is lymphatic insufficiency, or lymphedema. This is an accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the interstitial tissue causing swelling, most often in the arm(s) and/or leg(s), and occasionally in other parts of the body. The severity of this disease varies from very mild complications to a disfiguring, painful and disabling condition. In addition, patients are often susceptible to serious life-threatening cellulite infections(deep skin), and if untreated, can spread systemically or require surgical intervention. It remains a lifelong functional problem requiring daily treatment for maintenance. Eventually the skin becomes fibrotic (thickening of the skin and subcutaneous tissues) with loss of normal architecture, function and mobility. Primary Lymphedema is an inherited condition in approximately 0.6% of live births. The lymphatic vessels are either missing or impaired and can affect from one to as many as four limbs and/or other parts of the body, including internal organs. It can be present at birth, develop at the onset of puberty or present in adulthood, with no apparent causes. Other lymphatic diseases include lipedema, cystic hygromas, lymphangiomas, lymphangiectasias, lymphangiomatosis and other mixed vascular/lymphatic malformation syndromes and conditions, such as ...

  • Public School Teachers Are Idiots I know that the title and content of this vid generalizes. I have known a few public school teachers that I respect. However, the kids already know their teachers are dumb; it is the parents that do not.
  • Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae "insolvent" Too Big to Fail, I keep hearing that phrase so often when referencing the possible collapse of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, despite their stock losing 87% and 79% of their value since last year. Anyhow, some of the reports from various news outlets nearly gave me a heart-attack, I continued searching and reading for related articles, such as the excerpt from a Wall Street Journal article (1.) which states " The liabilities of Fan and Fred are currently not on this US balance sheet. But one danger is a run on the debt of either company, putting pressure on the Treasury and the Federal Reserve to publicly guarantee that debt to prevent a systemic Financial Collapse". The commentator of the financial times states that the firms are "too big to fail", but if they did, according to a Wall street Journal article (1.) the amount that may be burdened upon the civilian tax base is "5 trillion", not Billion but Trillion with a Capital "T". Strangely, William Poole a former St. Louis Federal Reserve President has publicly lashed out on the speculation of a bail out, he states in a Bloomberg article(2 ) " Congress ought to recognize that these firms are insolvent, that it is allowing these firms to continue to exist as bastions of privilege , financed by the taxpayer"( in reference to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae). Will there be a bail out? Or are both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac too big to fail? Well Both Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson seem to ...
  • China's demolition plan for Uyghur city Kashgar Estbalished in May 2009, the Save Kashgar Campaign is an historical awareness campaign to save the ancient central Asian silk road city from demolition. Kashgar, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, China is home to several million Uyghurs (pronounced WEE-gur) who are a Turkic-speaking Muslim people. Their ancient 2000 year old city has come under increasing attack by the Beijing government that has begun demolishing the old city structures in favour of modern buildings. Although the historical city has withstood 2000 years of wars, earthquakes and other natural disasters, the Chinese government has been systemically demolishing the old city in order to "develop" it. While we are not against development per se, we are against unsustainable development that causes homelessness, displacement and destruction of historical monuments. The Save Kashgar Campaign demands the United Nations (UNESCO) should award Kashgar World Heritage Site status immediately. The soul of this priceless historical city is being erased systematically. Kashgar's demolition is not only a loss for Uyghur culture, but for China and the entire world. It is imperative that the UN award Kashgar World Heritage Site Status immediately to protect it from further destruction. This will ensure that ancient structures are not removed but are strengthened. Please join our campaign and raise awareness. Help Kashgaris save their city!

The topic of this expanded format Security Council meeting is the Measures to Counter Threats to Russias National Security in the Southern Federal District. I would like to make a brief comment first, and afterwards, we can discuss some practical matters of this topic. In spite of all our efforts in recent years, the situation remains complicated, even despite some visible achievements during this period. We have made a number of decisions that essentially herald an overall change in the situation; among others, I am referring to the end of the counter-terrorist operations in the Chechen Republic. Nonetheless, we cannot let down our guard, as evidenced by recent events. I want to cite just a few statistics demonstrating the current state of affairs. Overall, 308 crimes of a terrorist nature have been committed so far in the North Caucasus in 2009 (a terrorist attack in the Chechen Republic which is investigated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code, and 307 crimes of a general terrorist nature, including some 105 explosions). • Bernanke To CFR (AKA MJ-12) - New Financial Authority Is Needed Steve Watson Tuesday, March 10, 2009 Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has told an elite gathering that a new overarching financial authority should be created by the government and empowered with sweeping new regulatory responsibilities. Bernanke also coyly indicted to the renowned globalist group that he believes a new international order could be fomented out of the crisis. We must have a strategy that regulates the financial system as a whole, in a holistic way, not just its individual components, Bernanke said in a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations. We should consider whether the creation of an authority specifically charged with monitoring and addressing systemic risks would help protect the system from financial crises like the one we are currently experiencing. he added. Large firms will require especially close oversight in the future, Bernanke noted, adding that regulators need the authority to seize such firms. Some of the policies I propose can be implemented and developed under the existing authorities of financial regulators, indeed we are in the process now of doing just that. But in other cases, Congressional action will be necessary to create the requisite authorities and responsibilities. Bernanke said. While he didnt specify which regulator should take that job, he noted that the Fed was first formed to address banking panics and said the initiative would require some role for the central bank. Effectively identifying and ...

The vast majority of Americans have been kept in the dark, until now. The secrets are out... (Bonus: Kenyan Birth Certificate in HQ) This video raises extremely serious concerns and questions about the qualifications and eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama for Presidency of The United States of America. Currently, a full scale investigation is impossible. Why? In response to overwhelming evidence that (at the very least) this whole thing smells to high hell, Barack Obama, AKA Barry Soetero, has systemically sealed all of his records. Information is scarce, yet the Truth movement has managed to gather video the world urgently needs to see. Inspector Smith: If this video comes off anti-Muslim, that is not my view. The majority of Muslims are good people with good hearts, not to be characterized with extremists, which is an entirely different subject. Obama may be... ●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬● www.prisonplanet.tv

  • Facilitating Drug Delivery to the Brain - Full Version - Big Ideas 2010 - Enterprise Ireland Getting therapeutic drugs into the human brain is not easy. It's a well protected structure, not only because it is encased in bone, but also because blood vessels that serve the brain are lined by tightly- packed cells that make up the 'blood-brain barrier'. That security is there to protect brain tissue from dangerous pathogens and foreign molecules, but it's also a barrier to the entry of therapeutic agents. However, there could be a way to sneak drugs past those barriers by opening them transiently, explains Dr Matthew Campbell from Trinity College Dublin. He's part of a team pioneering an approach that uses specifically designed small interfering RNA to suppress production of a protein called claudin-5, a key component of the barrier that stops drugs moving across from the bloodstream. Injecting siRNA systemically has been shown to improve the permeability of blood cells around brain tumours called gliobastomas in pre-clinical models. "Given the life-threatening nature of this sort of condition, systemic administration of siRNA targeting claudin-5 to allow periodic drug access to tumours would be ethically justifiable," says Dr Campbell. The approach could also be used in the treatment of traumatic brain injury, where suppressing claudin with siRNA could open the blood-brain barrier and encourage the movement of water away from the injury site, thereby reducing the potentially lethal effects of swelling, he added. In a related project, the team has also developed an ...

  • Have You Heard From Johannesburg Have You Heard From Johannesburg is a powerful seven-part documentary series by two-time Academy Award nominee Connie Field that shines light on the global citizens movements that took on South Africa's apartheid regime. It reveals how everyday people helped challenge and end one of the greatest injustices the world has ever known. Have You Heard begins with the story of freedom fighters in South Africa who are systemically killed, jailed or exiled for resisting their political oppression. Embattled South Africans call on the global community to take action, laying the groundwork for a decades-long international campaign. People around the world take up the anti-apartheid cause, challenging their governments, powerful corporations and other institutions to face up to the immorality of their collaboration with apartheid. Have You Heard follows three generations of the struggle inside South Africa and battles waged in sports arenas and cathedrals, in embassies and corporate boardrooms, at rock concerts and in gas stations around the globe. Pulling together the many threads of international anti-apartheid action for the first time in any medium, Have You Heard from Johannesburg is an inspiring example for citizens and movements around the world. • House Passes Finance Reform; Audit the Fed Bill Dec. 11 (Bloomberg) -- The US House tightened rules for derivatives and created powers to break apart large, healthy financial firms that threaten the economy in legislation passed today over objections from Wall Street and Republicans. Lawmakers voted 223-202 to create a Consumer Financial Protection Agency, strengthen oversight of hedge funds and create a $150 billion industry fund the government would use to take apart failed systemically risky firms. The House failed to add language letting bankruptcy judges reset mortgage rates. The focus now shifts to the Senate, where lawmakers lack a schedule for action on a bill. We are sending a clear message to Wall Street: The party is over, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said at a news conference after the vote. The measure is central to lawmakers effort to end government rescues of firms deemed too big to fail, which led to last years bailouts of New York-based American International Group Inc. and Citigroup Inc. The banking industry, Republican lawmakers and the nations biggest business lobby fought to scale back the legislation. The Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act adopts priorities President Barack Obama outlined in June for strengthening financial rules. The bill lets regulators unwind failed systemically important firms, sets up a council to monitor for systemic risk and creates a industry-backed fund for dissolving large failed firms. The bill ends a ban that shielded the Federal Reserve from audits of its ...
  • Alan Grayson Systemic risk Tansfer of wealth from taxpayer www.911 Representative Alan Grayson, attempts to get some answers. 1. What is being done to address systemic risk? 2. There is a massive transfer of wealth from the taxpayer, to banks, who have behaved abysmally. 3. Wall Street Socialism (that is a good way to put it) Just as a thought. One of those being questioned, makes a very important point that has been generally overlooked. The statement is made, that for the economy to recover, these Financial Institutions, have to be looked after and preserved. What he is actually saying, is that the economy has been refashioned around finance, a virtual Ponzi (pyramid) scheme. The reality should be, that the manufacturing sector, should be looked after, to make the economy recover. The financial sector, which produces nothing but debt, has been used to hijack the wealth, of the nation. Former US President, Thomas Jefferson, has been attributed with this powerful quote, I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. It is now at a point, whereby these International ...

  • DHT Cream Update: Results After 5 Weeks In addition to talking about the DHT induced genital growth I've noticed so far, I also discuss hair loss as a side effect of DHT. DHT blocking treatments for hair loss include Proscar / Finasteride, but these block DHT systemically (which would interfere with my objective of genital growth.) I'm also wondering if these negatively impact virilization in general. I'm addressing DHT-associated hair loss topically by applying saw palmetto tincture to my scalp daily.
  • Ron Paul on Financial Reform, Europe, Greece, Currency Swaps, and Bailouts (2010) 2010 Watch more clips: United States President Barack Obama and key advisers introduced a series of regulatory proposals in June 2009. The proposals address consumer protection, executive pay, bank financial cushions or capital requirements, expanded regulation of the shadow banking system and derivatives, and enhanced authority for the Federal Reserve to safely wind-down systemically important institutions, among others. In January 2010, Obama proposed additional regulations limiting the ability of banks to engage in proprietary trading. The proposals were dubbed "The Volcker Rule", in recognition of Paul Volcker, who has publicly argued for the proposed changes. The US Senate passed a regulatory reform bill in May 2010, following the House which passed a bill in December 2009. These bills must now be reconciled. The New York Times provided a comparative summary of the features of the two bills, which address to varying extent the principles enumerated by the Obama administration. For instance, the Volcker Rule against proprietary trading is not part of the legislation, though in the Senate bill regulators have the discretion but not the obligation to prohibit these trades. A variety of other regulatory changes have been proposed by economists, politicians, journalists, and business leaders to minimize the impact of the current crisis and prevent recurrence. None of the proposed solutions have yet been implemented. These ...

  • Mind blowing speech by Robert Welch in 1958 predicting Insiders plans to destroy America Proof that the NEW WORLD ORDER has been planned by the elite. Robert Welch, Founder of The John Birch Society, predicted today's problems with uncanny accuracy back in 1958 and prescribed solutions in 1974 that are very similar to Ron Paul's positions today. This is proof that there are plans in place by the elite to systemically disassemble US sovereignty. I wonder who those elite are.
  • Factors Shaping High Performance Teams High-performance teams rarely occur naturally. They must be created and managed. Real success in any rapidly changing business environment requires learning how to create and lead more effective teams. To build high-performance teams organizations need to apply an effective working theory to consciously and systemically build teamwork within their organization. What is needed is a working theory that encompasses, systemically, all aspects of organizational life, from creating the strategic vision and winning customers, to implementing and executing the processes to support the strategic vision. We believe such an actionable working theory exists. It comes out of the work of Fernando Flores, Humberto Maturana, John Austin, John Searle and Martin Heidegger. This theory is grounded biologically, linguistically and philosophically. The fundamental theory, simply stated, says we act in language and our language creates the reality from which we act.

  • The Sow that Eats her Farrow "The Sow that Eats her Farrow" This song lyric was uninspired - as against 'inspired' - by a series of tragic events in Ireland over the past 30/40 years the consequences of which have only become apparent over the past 2-4 years. The reports of the Ryan and Murphy Tribunals uncovered the institutional abuse inflicted by members of the Catholic church upon their subjugates; and established that the Catholic church, as an institution regarded itself as above and outside the law. The state and its leaders acquiesced by remaining subservient to the church thus leaving vulnerable children with no state protection or voice. The corruption in the Irish political system, as evidenced by enquiries into planning influences at local authority level and the abject failure of the state authorities to regulate the banking sector, has led most right minded citizens to believe that many politicians were in bed with the bankers, builders and developers such that their independence was fatally compromised. There is a growing belief that political leaders over the past several decades have been motivated principally by the desire to gain power for themselves, their friends and their political parties rather than to provide leadership and vision for the people they purport to represent. Only yesterday the Taoiseach issued a statement which started as follows: "There are occasions when the imperative of serving the national interest transcends other concerns, including party political and ...

  • Side effects and long-term effects of taking Advair/Prednisone/Steroids for Asthma Usually when patients have problems with asthma/allergies/sinusitis (especially asthma) the typical conventional response is to give them medications to inhibit their immune system, mainly steroids and prednisone. As a matter of fact, it's the first line treatment that's recommended to treat people with those types of problems. They created Advair (it's a medicine called serevant and prednisone) so you don't necessarily know that there are steroids in that medication. It's a spray that works every twelve hours. What it does is that it dilates your bronchioles, gives you a bunch of steroids that would get systemically absorbed, and over time, you form less of your own steroids (or cortisol) that you would need to fight off allergies. The best way is to get at the cause of the problem, use certain vitamins and nutrients, and you can shut off some of the allergic response, and get people off some of these medications. I was on prednisone - twenty milligrams a day for two and a half years - so I know a lot about prednisone (that was for a type of joint pain and inflammation). The bottom line is: get at the source of the problem, make your body more alkaline/less acidic, and eliminate the foods and chemicals that act as triggers, and you can get people off these medications that cause all sorts of problems down the road. What kinds of problems? Well there are sleep problems. You put someone on steroids, they wind up having insomnia; inability to get REM sleep. They wind up ...
