  • Deactivate ur Brain's Selected Parts, Use Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation !! Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Lets You Deactivate Selected Parts of Your Brain. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a process in which you run an electromagnet over parts of the brain, which essentially turns them off. You may have LOL'd at the idea of Kirsten Dunst and Mark Ruffalo erasing Jim Carrey's brain while dancing around in their underwear (in the Movie: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) , but this brain altering technology is no joke. While effects don't appear to be permanent or long-standing, doctors and researchers think it could show how the brain recovers from traumas such as stroke. Though the technology might run a ***sy-weensy risk of causing epilepsy, that's all. The video below shows grown men reciting nursery rhymes and turning into stuttering messes. source: [Daily Telegraph via Gizmodo]

  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation project - part 2 I achieved neuronal stimulation of my primary motor cortex by using a single 15-turn coil and 1700 volt charge on the capacitor bank of about 190uF. The exact position of the coil on my scalp makes a very big difference in how much stimulation is achieved in the motor cortex. I would have suspected the single coil would produce much more diffuse stimulation and positioning would not be so critical. I never got any decent neuronal stimulation with the butterfly coil.
  • Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Parkinsons Australia Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for movement disorders and tremor Australia edited from 60 minutes program Dr. Richard Bittar, Precision Neurosurgery Director MBBS (Honours), PhD, FRACS Dr. Richard Bittar is a highly qualified Australian neurosurgeon and researcher. Dr. Bittar is a visiting neurosurgeon at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Frankston Hospital, and numerous Private Hospitals in Melbourne. He is also Director of Precision Neurosurgery. Deep brain stimulation (DBS) works by targeting one of several areas in the brain that are part of the movement disorder pathway. By placing a fine wire (electrode) very precisely within the desired area, we are able to introduce a small amount of electrical current to these areas, which causes deactivation of the nerve cells. This electrode is connected to a battery which is implanted under the skin, allowing a small pulse of electricity to be delivered 24 hours a day. The most commonly targeted regions are the subthalamic nucleus (STN), thalamus (Vim), pallidum (GPi), and pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN) in Parkinson's disease, the thalamus (Vim) for essential tremor and multiple sclerosis tremor, and the pallidum (GPi) in dystonia. Precision Neurosurgery is a superspecialty neurosurgical practice which provides expertise in the treatment of a wide range of brain and spine disorders. Our highly trained surgeons utilise evidence-based scientific and clinical knowledge, considered judgement, refined surgical techniques, and state-of-the ...

  • Creating Super Puppies- Early Neurological Stimulation The US military did studies on raising puppies, and they found that doing certain exercises with puppies during the time of rapid neurological growth, between the puppies third and six***th day of life would increase the pups performance in later life. They created a program called the Bio Sensor program consisting of 5 exercises to be done once a day with the pups. They found that not only were puppies able to cope more with stressful situations, and problem solve better than other puppies, but that they were actually physically healthier with higher cardiovascular performance, stronger immune systems, adrenal glands and heart beats. The exercises should only be repeated once a day, as the point is to add mild stress. More than once, and it could be overwhelming and could have the reverse effect on the puppies. Natural handling should also be a big part of rearing puppies, and these exercises are not a replacement for that! These exercises should be followed up by environmental enrichment, and socialization as the puppies grow. Thanks to Dr. Carmen Battaglia who published an article on this subject, many breeders have started implementing early Neurological stimulation in their breeding programs. Google: Early Neurological Stimulation and Dr. Carmen Battaglia to find his article on the Internet, which explains the exercises in greater detail. THIS IS VIDEO IS NOT MEANT TO PROMOTE BREEDING DOGS IN ANY WAY! Thanks to Diva for letting us film and work with her puppies! You ...
