  • Human rights violations of Pukhtoons by Rogue Punjabi Pakistani Army(wake up Pukhtoons) Pakistan Army officers mass-killing six innocent blind-folded young men with their hands tied-back, has shocked the world. The way the Pakistani soldiers shot and killed the young men some of them as young as 14 years and then shooting at short range on those who were still alive and wounded, to finish them, dwarfs the atrocities committed by same pakistani army against bengalis in bangladesh. The crimes committed by Pakistan Army in FATA cannot be brought to surface as the journalists and International human rights organizations are barred from entering these areas.A Pakistani intelligence official, who did not want to be identified discussing the issue, said he had seen other such videos and heard reports of executions larger than the one in the video.Ironically, the so-called free media of Pakistan is criminally silent on these terrifying images.Pakistani media which is tirelessly quoting Western sources when it comes to stigmatizing the democratically elected governments and even the Judiciary. • South Mountain and Stella Parton at the Floralia Country Festival 1992 Compilation of the first episode of two Dutch TV shows, covering the Floralia Country Festival in 1992. It features Canadian country band South Mountain and the country-singer Stella Parton (yes indeed; sister of Dolly). Dutch country-artist and TV-host Ruud Hermans took for one time in his life the role of a cowboy (Cowboy Rudy); something he actually never wanted to do, thinking it was too stigmatizing as a wrong association for country music. The program starts with 'Cowboy Rudy', riding his horse all the way from California, through the desert, to the city of Oosterhout in the south of The Netherlands. On his arrival he meets Stella Parton. Right from the start they seem to have something going on between the two of them. The show continues with a great live-registration of South Mountain, performing 'I get the blues'. Guitarist Steve Piticco is showing his stunning skills on his 1976 Telecaster! The following sequence is showing Rudy and Stella once again, chatting about the country cooking of Stella. Before Cowboy Rudy sets off to the sunset, Stella Parton performs 'Valley of Desire' accompanied by the Dutch band 'Tulsa'. The show was directed for Dutch television by Jan Hovers.
  • Antisemitism: real and imagined 4 Recorded Presentation Antisemitism: real and imagined -- Thursday Jan. 6 at 7:30 pm London Central Library. Professor Keefer exposes the political extremism of the CPCCA's prime movers, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney (Conservative) and former Justice Minister and Attorney General Irwin Cotler (Liberal), and their all-too-obvious agenda of using an imagined 'new antisemitism' as a justification for stigmatizing and even criminalizing criticism of the state of Israel. Professor Keefer raises questions about the current orientation of Canadian foreign policy—which stands in flagrant opposition both to the principles of international law and to the humanitarian principles of the prophetic tradition in Judaism. Professor Keefer's revealing and riveting presentation is sponsored by Citizens Inquest, People for Peace London and Gaza Freedom March London and Iconoclast Media.

  • My child needs to lose weight. (ways i can workout with my child) and http Don't blame your kids for your lacking when it comes to working out. Make it a family affair and workout with your kids and have fun Your kids need fitness too. Child Obesity is real. Childhood obesity is a condition where excess body fat negatively affects a child's health or wellbeing. As methods to determine body fat directly are difficult, the diagnosis of obesity is often based on BMI. Due to the rising prevalence of obesity in children and its many adverse health effects it is being recognized as a serious public health concern.[1] The term overweight rather than obese is often used in children as it is less stigmatizing. he first problems to occur in obese children are usually emotional or psychological.[5] Childhood obesity however can also lead to life-threatening conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, sleep problems, cancer, and other disorders.[6][7] Some of the other disorders would include liver disease, early puberty or menarche, eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, skin infections, and asthma and other respiratory problems.[8] Studies have shown that overweight children are more likely to grow up to be overweight adults.[7] Obesity during adolescence has been found to increase mortality rates during adulthood.[9] Obese children often suffer from teasing by their peers.[10][11] Some are harassed or discriminated against by their own family.[11] Stereotypes abound and may lead to low self esteem ...
  • Childhood Anxiety - Nipping it early Anxiety is the most frequent mental health disorder in children and adolescents. It has a lifetime prevalence of about 20%. But what if there was a way to nip it in the bud? A program in Australia, now starting to make inroads in Canada, has gone right into the schools and given teachers tools to help kids deal with anxiety - without labelling them, or stigmatizing them. This is an evidence-based experiment and the data is showing that the program called Friends, if started early enough, can have long-lasting preventive effects. We'll talk to anxiety experts to see how it works and why.
  • CAMH Scamhospital ARCHWAY CLINIC WELCOMES YOU TO PARKDALE CANADA.avi SCAMH's ARCHWAY CLINIC is NOT a part of the neighborhood, at least not the way they mean. It's ugly and furtive-looking, like its ashamed of itself. Transforming the neighborhood? Bitter joke! Transforming lives, equally false. Removing stigma? Just entering this dump, is stigmatizing. The video does indicate CHANGE, however, only FOR THE WORSE! Because the clinic's stucco store-front walls were originally decorated with handsome classical figures, supporting metaphorical arches. These have since been removed, leaving the ugly meanness that is coming to be the hallmark of CAMH/SCAMH, whenever and wherever it comes into actual contact with the people it's supposed to serve - without the benefit of their PR department, I mean. Now it's at best the archway to less-metaphorical arches, like the ones of the walk-up down the street. This one's owned by Cesare Fazari. Clients are actually lucky now, to pass through these arches, since units have gone from the relatively-affordable $550 to $750+, literally overnight. This building used to house a lot of clients, not luxuriously but it was better than nothing! Not many, now. So much for transforming the neighborhood. PS Some PARC (Parkdale Activity and Recreation Centre) morons provided the commentary: "Duh! Dat guy's godda camera!" True! Some of the nurses aren't bad looking. That male ones, that is....
  • liberté, égalité, fraternité ? London protesters speakout on the French ban on niqab and burqa. Under the law backed by Nicolas Sarkozy, it is illegal for women in full-face veils to go anywhere in public, including walk down the street, enter shops, use public transport, attend doctors' surgeries or town halls. They face a fine and a citizenship class. Women in niqabs will be effectively under house arrest, allowed only inside a place of worship or a private car, although they risk being stopped by traffic police if they drive. The law comes at a moment of tension in France, where Sarkozy has been accused of stigmatizing Muslims to win over the far-right vote. © Fil Kaler 2011
  • I love Sith Lord Ali! "Stalkers probably have the best insight on life and humanity. Once you think about it, those that peer into the lives of others from a distance with an unbiased view of their situations could probably provide a lot more insightful advice and theories than those that are directly linked to the issue. The stigmatizing of stalkers is very misunderstood and very underestimated. It's common knowledge that one would assume a stalker status for being interested in a certain person's life or a group of people: watching their daily life, ease dropping, or any other means necessary to convey what we would deem as "creepy." Though there is much you can learn in life if you are but an observer; watching other people's reactions to certain stimuli can give you information to make theories about how individuals act when placed in that circumstance. Observing others without direct contact is much more of a learning experience than a creepy disposition. I have stalker-ish habits such as browsing the internet and reading other people's commentary to one another via Gaia or Myspace. It's not because I'm interested in their lifes perse or them as a person but I'm very curious about their social interactions and what they have to face in life. I find it interesting and compelling; why would anyone not want to see what someone else's life is like. There is so much to learn. I'm sure most of you have habits that would deem you a title of weird that you'd never speak to others about". -Sith ...
  • Myth: Under Libertarianism, People Can More Effectively Take Control of Their Lives To comment on this video, go to: Note: This video is part of a series of debunked myths of laissez-faire capitalism. If your point is not addressed here, you may find that it is elsewhere. There are a lot of myths propagated by proponents of economically conservative philosophies like libertarianism or traditional conservatism (not to be confused with today's authoritarian Neoconservatism movement). Herein many of these flaws are examined rationally. Unfortunately, the politics of economic conservatism and its sibling libertarianism have been influential in influencing the past few decades of United States government policy, mainly through the Republican Party. This FAQ describes and debunks various myths pertinent to these political philosophies. Please note that in this essay, for the sake of simplicity the term "government" is used to refer to any form of collective action by the people. Myth: Libertarians believe in independence and self-reliance. Under libertarianism, people can more effectively take control of their lives. Many economic conservatives talk a lot about values such as independence and personal choice. However, their professed commitment to these notions is close to meaningless, because it consists of little more than a demand for self-reliance with no acknowledgment of the experiential factors required to produce it. In other words, even as libertarians extol the virtues of independence, they oppose creating the kind of environment in ...

  • Ashtiani tortured to 'confesses' to murder on Iran state TV What was Ashtiani's crime? Four years ago, the 43-year-old mother of two was charged in an Iranian court with killing her husband. She denied any wrongdoing and was cleared of murder at trial. But three out of the five male judges in the Islamic court decided that she was guilty of adultery—her alleged lover was also charged in the murder—and they sentenced her to death by stoning. After her lawyer blogged about the case last month, human-rights activists, celebrities such as Robert Redford, and politicians including Sen. John Kerry began campaigning for her release. In the wake of the international outcry, Iranian authorities said earlier this month that Ashtiani would not be stoned—at least not immediately—but she remains in custody and could still be executed Is stoning a distinctly Islamic practice? No. Stoning precedes Islam; it's often cited in the Old Testament, which lists a number of crimes for which stoning is the designated punishment. But stoning fell out of use among ancient Jews and was renounced by Jesus in his famous rebuke to the Pharisees who brought him a "woman taken in adultery": "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone." Today, the few countries in which stoning remains legal—Iran, Somalia, Sudan, and Afghanistan—are Islamic. But some of the most vociferous anti-stoning advocates are Muslims who consider the practice both immoral and stigmatizing for the countries that permit it Does the Koran prescribe stoning for adultery? No ...
  • Conley Opening Remarks America has made great strides in reducing key measures of racial inequality in recent decades, but there is still much work to be done. Gaps still exist in health, jobs, and education, but they are dwarfed by the wealth gap. The typical white family has roughly ten times the wealth as the typical non-white family, and that gap has grown since the 1960s. This gap explains the disparities in other indicators. When wealth levels are the same, blacks do as well or better than their white counterparts in areas such as income or education. Changing from race-based to wealth-based would also be less stigmatizing and ensure that more poor people benefit from these policies.
  • USW26 Final Video Project (4.30.11).m4v In this video, I wanted to highlight how makeover shows can have a stigmatizing effect on certain disadvantaged groups of people. The shows assumed that the changes can be achievable for anybody. They assume equal opportunities, resources, and circumstances for all individual. Thus, when a person is unable to achieve something, he is stigmatized as being lazy, lethargic, unworthy, incapable, untalented, etc. As you may see in the video, however, not everyone has the same resources and time to make the change. And people who don't have the same amount of resources shouldn't be dehumanized and stigmatized in a way that brings largely assumed negative traits of their characters. I also wanted to highlight the de-empowering effect of the makeover shows for the people striving for transformation. Brenda Weber would describes it as expert-does-it-all-put-yourself-on-good-hands-of-the-experts-and-everything-gets-better method. In this video, Chris is very submissive throughout the clip. Mindlessly, he simply places himself on the hands of an expert. Ultimately, he does better on the exam.

  • Understanding PSYOPS - Creating Stereotypes How to Destroy the 9/11 Truth Movement Once someone starts looking into the facts on 9/11, once he has watched some documentaries or has even read some books about it, it becomes quite obvious to him that 9/11 is a huge fraud, and that the government's lies are stinking to heaven. For this reason it is of the utmost importance to prevent the average citizen from even looking into this event and prevent him from examining it in more detail. This is being done by stigmatizing the exponents of alternative data, by creating stereotypes, by creating myths. People representing alternative point of views are being displayed as anti-semites, as crazy lunatics wearing tin foil hats, as people with mental disorders, as un-american traitors, as unpatriotic thugs and so on. People will then say: "Of course I don't question 9/11, since I'm not one of these unpatriotic anti-semites". People don't want to be seen as belonging to one of these stigmatized groups, and therefore they reject beliefs and patterns of behavior that would identify them as being one of them. They're even willing to reject quite reasonable behavior, such as asking questions and doing some research just to avoid being perceived as one of those undesired outsiders. There mere questioning of the official story has been stigmatized. You are not even allowed to think about certain topics. For example: No one in the former USSR would even have dared to question communism, would have dared to even debate the validity of ...
  • Pour une suisse raciste. An other face of switzerland. What UDC can do to win. When a political party is weak or unqualified of resolving problems, the shortest way to gain confidence and credibility among the population is stigmatizing strangers and spreading fear rather than suggesting solutions. We live in a global word what happen in 1914 and 1938 is not acceptable today. Our societies led my our economies or not only by our politiciens.

  • Weight Bias in Health Care Overweight and obese patients frequently feel stigmatized in health care settings, and face stereotypes and prejudice from health care providers. These stigmatizing experiences (also called 'weight bias') jeopardize patients' emotional and physical health. The Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity at Yale University () has released this new video in response to a growing concern about weight bias in health care. The video, hosted by celebrity and activist Emme and featuring Rudd Center experts including Dr. Rebecca Puhl and Dr. Kelly Brownell, uses expert commentary and dramatic representation to increase awareness of bias and stigma that overweight and obese patients encounter in health care. Equally importantly, the video presents a range of practical strategies to help providers reduce bias in their clinical practice, and to optimize the health care experience for their overweight and obese patients.

  • Bankruptcy Should Not Be Stigmatizing We handle cases from emergency filings to ones that require over a year of planning. Our clients goals are first and foremost in our minds as we advise and represent our clients in their carefully prepared bankruptcy cases. The bankruptcy laws are amazingly flexible and potent in helping you eliminate debt and get back into financial health when youve over-leveraged yourself or had a misfortune from which you need to recover. This is not a journey you should go alone, or accept less than completely expert guidance through the legal thicket of bankruptcy law and procedure. No two cases are alike. Some are relatively easy and represent little risk of complications. Other cases where divorce, lawsuits, businesses and other such components are in the mix will require more effort and attention to detail. Clients goals differ as much as their situations and inform our navigation of your case as much as any other factor.
  • Christopher Hitchens on a Flat Tax, Immigration and Defense Contractors (1994 Part 6) November 21, 1994 Watch the full program: A flat tax (short for flat rate tax) is a tax system with a constant tax rate. A flat tax may also be called a tax in rem ("against the thing"), such as an excise tax on gasoline of three cents per gallon. Usually the term flat tax refers to household income (and sometimes corporate profits) being taxed at one marginal rate, in contrast with progressive or regressive taxes that vary according to parameters such as income or usage levels. Flat taxes offer simplicity in the tax code, which has been reported to increase compliance and decrease administration costs. Flat taxes that allow a tax exemption for household income below a cutoff level are not true proportional taxes, because, for household incomes below the cutoff level, taxable income is less than total income. A welfare queen is a pejorative phrase used in the United States to describe people who are accused of collecting excessive welfare payments through fraud or manipulation. Sensational reporting on welfare fraud began during the early-1960s, appearing in general interest magazines such as Readers Digest. The term entered the American lexicon during Ronald Reagan's 1976 presidential campaign when he described a "welfare queen" from Chicago's South Side. Since then, it has become a stigmatizing label placed on recidivist poor mothers, with studies showing that it often carries gendered and racial connotations. Although ...
  • Hypocrisy, Mobbing, Racism, Personality Disorders, and Corporatism. Are you tired of the code of silence that keeps hypocrisy, racism, discrimination, institutional racism, institutional discrimination, ethnocentrism, homophobia, xenophobia, incompetence, red tape, hate, and corruption alive and well? Today I am breaking the silence with my slide-show. Please educate yourself on the truth! - Learn about stupid labels like "Personality Disorders" given by the stupidest and most overpaid professionals on earth: psychologists and psychiatrists. People with "personality disorders" are conniving and spiteful haters (male and female), plain and simple. So stop giving into the fancy psychological labels. ie, borderline, narcissist, histrionic, sociopath, schizoid, etc. Labels can also be misleading and stigmatizing. - Learn about how minorities are trained at an early age in schools, churches, colleges, and corporations to accept racism, homophobia, discrimination, and doublespeak as mundane activity. - Learn about how minorities are exploited and used by selfish profiteers and teachers to aggrandize the White Conservative agenda. They deceptively have mixed political leanings to make the playing field seem fair and honest. Proclaiming to vote Democrat, to be liberal, or to be Methodist are deceitful ploys to fool clueless minorities. - Learn about how people of color are accepted into top universities but have an extremely high drop out rate. Minorities are forced to sink or swim at their universities. In some cases it's live or die ala Colton ...
