TOEFL SPEAKING question 2 (9 samples) This video is proposing 9 practice tasks for the SECOND question in the speaking section of the TOEFL IBT. You will also find sample responses for each of the tasks. These were included with the original CD. If anything, these samples can teach you the format of a good response. But don't let yourself be discouraged by the quality of their language and content. You will only have 15 seconds to prepare and I'm sure these guys took hours to write those samples... So the judges don't expect this kind of quality. But what they do expect is the level of organization they display. So when preparing your response, make sure you respect the following pattern 1: A Clear Topic Statement 2: 2 reasons to hold your opinion 3: Details and examples for each of your reasons. 4: A concise concluding statement... (example: those are the reasons I believe... kind of thing) With that in mind, you should be able to get a good score for this question. That is if your grammar and vocabulary are appropriate... of course. My cat Tiggy talking / speaking saying hello Tiggy can talk she says hello! Heres what I think its sounds like shes saying: "Hello, Hello, Hello, I Know Hello, Hello Hello Hello. Hello. I'm Alone, I'm on my own, I'm Alone, I know hello." She only does when shes looking for you though, once you call her or she sees you she'll stop so I had to set the camera up and leave it for awhile until she did it. She does this at least 10 times a day shes does it in the morning when she wants us to get up, in the night when shes bored and wants us to get up and when shes finished eating and want to know what room were in (which is what shes doing in this video hence the lip licking, shes cleaning them). Its nothing to do with hairballs as she never coughs up a hairball after doing it Its not because shes in heat she was spayed when she was young. Tiggy passed away 23rd June 2010 of old age (20), she passed peacefully.
