who says you can't socialize feral cats *****UPDATE****I just wanted to share with anyone that cared to know, a little bit more about me..This is a video of a cat at the Wantagh Bideawee..He has been a semi "feral" cat down there for almost ten years. Overtime, as you can see..He has come to trust me..He is just one of the cats down there. (Yes, they are all neutered and spayed.) How he came about? Either he was dumped, I say "dumped", because that is what crazy ass people do when they don't want their cats anymore...Did he possibly belong to someone. Yeah..but once he was left out on his own, he reverted back to his "feral" instincts if you may.. which is most likely the case, thats usually the way. I feel, that any cat can be socialized. That is my opinion and my belief..Why do I feel that way, hmm, it must be because I had experience on my own of handling cats. Perhaps, I had the right touch as oppose to some others that view a cat in a trap, which obvious would be scared out of its wits. I wonder why? Lets consider this shall we.. Suppose someone trapped you when you least expected it. Then taunted you by standing over you and staring. And talking like ***, bigshot how tough and brave you are. Animals can sense body language..They feel and understand the tone of our voice. Perhaps I try to gather a better understanding of the cat. Do I believe in TNR, absolutely!!!! We released the mom from the cage and opened the window to the garden, but she's been coming in to visit her kittens often. The mom is welcome to stay in our garden even after her kittens are adopted. Theresa and Kat helped us get a shelter for her, and we'll keep her well-fed.
