  • Mañanitas Guadalupanas '10 Part III Mañanitas Guadalupanas Mañanitas for La Virgen De Guadalupe at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Clear Lake City, Texas, December 12, 2010 at 5:30AM. Officiated by Padre Elias of Sonora, Mexico. Mariachi music provided by High School students from Klein Collins and Klein from Spring, Texas, from San Jacinto Jr. College, from the Hispanic Ministries of St. Paul and Christ the Good Sheppard of Spring Texas. Video was provided by Joaquin Lopez of Quemado, Texas. This day commemorates the apparition of our Blessed Virgen Mary to an Indian named Juan Diego in Mexico City on December 12th, 1531. Our Blessed Virgin Mary left for all of us incredules, an image of herself imprinted on a sarape worn by Juan Diego. Every year, millions of pilgrims flock to a church built at the site of this great miracle and is referred to as Basilica de La Virgen de Guadalupe where the image is still visible today. Some because of their lack of knowledge and some ill-intended criticize the Catholic Church claiming that we worship idols. This is furthest from the truth. At the center of the Catholic Church is Jesus, no one can come to the Father but through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. The 1.3 billion Catholics, with their 265 Popes dating back to St Peter, each with their own Magisteriums, Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, and Nuns could not have overlooked the commandment not to worship idols made of human hands. The figurines used throughout our churches are simply that, a reminder of Christ and ...

  • Epcot Mexico, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is a dark ride housed within the pyramid-shaped Mexico pavilion, at the Epcot theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States. The attraction begins with posters indicating that the Three Caballeros are to perform a concert tonight. After boarding the boats, guests float around a Mayan pyramid as soft music and animal sounds are heard in the distance. Soon, guests enter a tunnel on the side of the pyramid, where Panchito Pistoles and José Carioca of The Three Caballeros introduce themselves, only to find out that Donald Duck, the third member of the group, has run off, prompting Panchito and Jose to set off on a frantic search for their missing friend. The next few scenes show Donald touring Mexico and José and Panchito on a magic sarape (a sort of Mexican flying poncho) looking for him. The next scene has characters similar to 'It's a Small World' with dancing animatronics and a Donald Duck piñata. Once past this area, guests enter a cave, which features different scenes of live-action footage with the Caballeros. After leaving the cave, there are three panels featuring a Mariachi band in the first, some Mexican girls and Donald in the second and Panchito and José pulling Donald away from the girls in the third. From here, guests float into Mexico City, where fireworks are going off overhead and the Three Caballeros are finally performing their concert. It should be noted that Panchito ...
