  • Lecture 13 (Part1/4) of 1st International Deuterium Symposium K. Krempels: A retrospective study to evaluate the effect of deuterium depletion on the survival of metastatic breast cancer patients About the lecture: K. Krempels, I. Somlyai, M. Huszár, G. Somlyai HYD LLC. for Cancer Research and Drug Development, Budapest, Hungary Breast cancer is one among the most prevalent forms of malignant tumors worldwide. Development of locally advanced, recurrent and/or metastasizing disease is the primary determinant of the outcome and represents a high risk for breast cancer patients. The anticancer effect of deuterium depleted water (DDW) has been revealed in the treatment of spontaneous malignancies in dogs and cats. The therapeutic efficacy of per os (PO) DDW treatment was also confirmed in a human, phase II double blind clinical trial on prostate cancer. The aim of the present study was to investigate the impact of DDW consumption in addition to conventional forms of treatments on the survival of metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients. The records of 74 women suffering from MBC were retrospectively evaluated for the period between January 1993 and May 2005 and all but 6 of the 74 patients had previously undergone intensive and repeated prior conventional therapy and had limited expectations on survival time. In the 74 patients 135 distant metastases were diagnosed before DDW treatment commenced. Conventional cancer therapy was supplemented with PO DDW treatment; ie daily water intake of the patients was replaced by DDW. DDW consumption ...

Mr Justice Parker says the Revenue had warned the users of the tax avoidance scheme and that the Government is entitled to change tax law retrospectively. The Professional Contractors Group says it shares a common concern with all taxpayers that "this judgement may be seen as opening the door to retrospection". The HMRC "must not feel this is a green light to retrospectively challenge other, entirely legitimate behaviour", according to the PCG.

  • Complete and accurate documentation helps in response to healthcare reforms In today's changing healthcare environment, and what's on the horizon, it's even more critically important to make sure that you are accurately reflecting how sick your patients are and trying to truly capture that episode of care and making sure that you've completely captured the severity, the risk of mortality," says Suzanne Wilson, Director of Resource Management at Anmed Health. "So, it's very important to do that in real time, while the patient is in the hospital and being able to communicate with the physician and the healthcare team to make sure that you have completely captured everything that is appropriate in that patient's record. From a healthcare perspective we're currently doing more work retrospectively, going back, after longer periods of time, and looking at charts and trying to understand where the opportunities of care may be, how we might improve that care, so it's important to be able to go back when you look at that chart and understand completely and accurately what the care was that was rendered and how sick those patients were and how we might improve that. "Regulatory changes and the challenges that are out there, makes it even more important that you have completely and accurately reflected that episode of care for the patients that you serve, in so many ways. Whether it's improving the quality of the data, learning how we might improve care standards in the future, it gives us that picture that snapshot, that we could also go back ...

  • Chosta - Interlude www.chosta.tk Interlude is a Chill-Out and Lounge Track from Chosta. Lounge music is a retrospective description of music popular in the 1950s and 1960s. It is a type of mood music meant to evoke in the listeners the feeling of being in a place — a jungle, an island paradise, outer space, et cetera — other than where they are listening to it.[1] The range of lounge music encompasses beautiful music-influenced instrumentals, modern electronica (with chillout, nu-jazz and downtempo influences), while remaining thematically focused on its retro-space-age cultural elements. • Former Yugoslavia / Bivsa Jugoslavija (Available in High-Quality) Retrospectively it can be said that we all loved Yugoslavia and never wanted for it to be abolished. During its existance it was one of the most beautiful countries in the world, having a domestic production of aircrafts, cars, chemistry, textile, military and industry in general. This unlikely creation of a land, reminding more of a dream than reality, gave the observer the impression of having succeeded to unite several nations and religions under one common direction and alliance. But the injustice that was nourishing inside the soul of Yugoslavia ever since its birth had a devestating implementation upon its citizens primarily by Serb, and some Croat, nationalist currents. Eventually Yugoslavia reached the inevitable faith awaiting from the very beginning. The Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims) not the least were the unexpecting victims of the dissolution occuring. The Bosniaks are now looking back at the last 16 years reminiscing what horrors they have sustained. They were the victims of ethnic cleansing and genocide. However, Bosniaks and other less mentioned Yugoslavian victims still are affectionate towards Yugoslavia. This land and its foundation of ideas (brotherhood, unity and equalty) may perhaps constitute a utopia and merely a pleasent dream, but nevertheless a very satisfying such. In conclusion, we never wished for the death of Yugoslavia, but rather for the end of radical Serbian, and at times, Croatian nationalism. Large parts of the Serbian community opted for ...
  • Untitled song by Leumas Davis Lyrics: Staring at the window late at night Once again you came to sight All alone with my best few Despite the position being held for you Skipped the tract to our song Even though it turns out I was wrong Thought of the emotions that had passed The ones you wouldn't let last. Your secrets were real but your feelings were wrong Which caused the lies to settle strong I mistakenly said, I love you You agreed strongly even though it wasn't true Did you ever wonder if your lies Would break me down and cause me to die Called yourself a filthy name Now it finally vindicates Retrospectively, I have some thoughts Was it serious or was it not Were you my love, my one and only Or was it the feeling that made me so corny Are you the inspiration for this song Does your face appear behind the fog Am I in love, even with you Or am I in love with the idea of you?

The judgment in this case may create confusion concerning the constitutional validity of the prohibition against the possession of marihuana as set out in S.4 of the CDSA and therefore compromise existing prosecutions under the CDSA. In R. v. Poelzer, for example, a prosecution currently underway in BC Supreme Court, defence counsel has argued that, by virtue of the Ontario Court of Appeal's judgment in R. v. JP, the invalidation of s41(b.1) of the MMAR retrospectively invalidates s.4(1) of the CDSA in respect of marihuana. The Court in R. v. JP ruled that the combined effect of Parker and Hitzig meant there was no constitutionally valid marijuana possession offence between July 31 2001 and Oct 7 2003, the date the MMAR were constitutionally rectified by the decision in Hitzig. Courts may construe the Federal Court of Appeal's decision as creating a similar period of retrospective invalidity dating back to December 3 2003, the date that s.41(b.1) was re-introduced into the MMAR." The United Kingdom has warned India that such a move could adversely affect investment climate in the country, especially in the wake of British mobile phone giant Vodafone's legal battle in India over alleged unpaid taxes.
