Cellular Respiration Breakdown - Original Rap Video An original Gummy Bears Production: Going at it again, this time with cellular respiration. Let's do this.
"Cell Respiration" - Cellular Respiration Song A song about Cellular Respiration, based on Black Eyed Pea's "I Gotta Feeling." Lyrics written by, song performed by, and Powerpoint slide show done by a simple high school science teacher named Mr. Hsu. mp3 available (finally): c3 This song and video have been made solely for educational purposes. Its level of depth and detail into the process of cellular respiration are aimed at High School Honors Biology students (at least the ones I teach). If you find any errors or omissions (ie I didn't mention 1,3-biphosphoglycerate), this is due to the fact that I'm not teaching AP Biology or college-level Biology AND I'm being constrained by describing such a complex biochemical process through a fairly recent pop song with incredibly repetitive lyrics. I actually performed this song for my students in class the day before our cellular respiration test. If you're lucky, you might find a video of such a live performance somewhere in the vast internet (quite a few of them were recording me singing it in class, after all). This video is a result of me taking a simple digital camera and aiming it at my computer to try and record the performance my students experienced (so sorry for the crude recording and poor quality). I have recorded an mp3, and if I have time, I will find a place to upload it for public download, so that other Biology students can listen and study for their tests on cellular respiration. Also, if I have time, I may upload a better version of this ...

Cell Respiration Rap-Glucose Breakdown Comment and tell us what you think! AP bio rap video. *Also...We meant ATP Synthase makes ATP, while ETC provides concentration gradient.** Lyrics: YA KREBS CYCLE YA! Chorus: Glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, used to be krebs but they didn't like him Chemiosmosis, and fermentation, are very similar functions of anerobic respiration. That is the cell, it uses ATP Oxygen doesn't grow on trees You may ask"What does it mean to me?" You use celluar respiration to harvest your energy. Glucose is the sugar used, oxygen is important too.Co2 is giving off carboxyl groups made them new. Pyruvate then becomes converted and Acetyl CoA in the cell is gurded with water and NAD+, reduction with an H is a must. (Chorus once more) OOH YOU HAD THAT COMING, you had that coming. What's and nahs. Lemme' tell you about the new part of celluar respiration it's called oxidative phosphorolation, its the time to synthesize ATP, its what makes the energy for you and me. It's made by my boy ATP synthase, makes it from ADP and inorganic phosphate, chemiosmosis puts the flow across the head, makes all the nerds wanna yell KREBS CYCLE YA! (Chorus) Ya ya ya..yaya...ya..yayaya..yaya Whats and Nah's. Breakdown: Glucose breakdown its an exergonic process, losing its energy makes the ladies impressed. Glucose is the fuel cells most often use, if its gonna be replaced gotta fill some big shoes. Catabolic pathways do not move flagella, or perform work, its not a working fella. For these things its ATP that ...

Cellular Respiration Song Two students singing about glycolysis, the Kreb's Cycle, and the electron transport chain. These 3 processes occur within the cells of millions of living things. Together they constitute the process of cellular respiration. This occurs when cells breakdown sugar in the presence of O2. In the cytoplasm of cells, glycolysis results in 2 ATP, 2 NADH & 2 pyruvic acid molecules, from the splitting of glucose. Pyruvic acid continues to the Krebs cycle w/in the mitochondrial matrix. 6 CO2 molecules are released, 8 NADH, 2 FADH2, & 2 ATP are made. All energy carriers (NADH & FADH2) power the electron transport w/in the cristae of the mitochondria. Around 32 more ATP are produced. At the end of the ETC, O2 accepts the energy depleted electrons and H+ ions to form 6H2O. When O2 is not available w/in the cell, fermentation can keep glycolysis going for ~ 90 seconds. Fermentation does this by passing the high energy electrons from NADH back to pyruvic acid. The breakdown of NADH to NAD+ allows more glucose to continue to breakdown. Because it is a fast set of reactions w/in milliseconds, 1000's of ATP can form. However, after 90 seconds, one is forced to slow down until the amount of oxygen in the cell increases.

Cellular Respiration (ATP)-- Boulevard of Broken Dreams We made this video for Biology class (for extra credit of course). We don't really sing this bad it's just the effects on our voices. This Video is about the process of making energy (Cellular respiration) by breaking down glucose (simple sugar) to make ATP (the basic energy molecule). Its a sort of parody of "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Greenday ;) btw watch it in watch in high quality it looks better ("IRN productions 2008 all rights reserved") Lyrics: Glycolosys is the Only way to make some ATP Dont know how to make it But if you just add some ADP.
