Epiphone SG G-400 Custom Shop 1966 Reissue Review VS. Gibson SG Standard Marshall JCM2000 TSL602 Honestly, they are both awesome guitars. The gibson has better electronics, neck binding, a bit better tuners, and a thicker neck profile. The Epiphone is extremely well constructed though. No sharp fret edges, top of the frets are level (rare on cheap guitars, and very desireable for those that want low action), and it feels awesome. I cant get over the finish either, I am SO glad that I got it. I got a smokin' deal from Musicians Friend on it too. $350 (including tax and shipping) with a new Epiphone hardshell case. I actually talked the representative into giving me an additional 10% off as well, so it came out to $315! HAH! Amazing value. I HIGHLY recommend this guitar to anyone that is in the market for an SG. You are going to have to set it up (ie lower the strings and set the intonation), but you will need to do this to any guitar that you get. I had to set my Gibson up the same way. If you looking for the Angus young sound, the bridge pickup is a little darker sounding than the 498T on my Gibson SG Standard. You may want to upgrade to a hotter pickup. The epiphone pickups are not bad at all though, they are more vintage sounding. I am upgrading the bridge pickup to an Angus Young Signature in a few days, but I am leaving the neck pickup alone for now. I'll be changing the cover on the neck pickup to "nickel" in order to match the Angus though. It should sound awesome!

Fender 69 Mustang Reissue I bought this guitar in the mid 90's. It's a Japanese Reissue of the classic 1969 Fender Mustang. These were preferred by Kurt Cobain and he usually dropped a humbucker in the bridge for a thicker sound. The stickers were from when I was younger and totally take away from how awesome the Sonic Blue finish is, one of Fender's coolest colors. The video is chopped up to fit into YouTube's time limits. The only mod made to this guitar was the replacement of the bridge pickup in favor for a hotter Red Fender Lace Sensor. Enjoy the vid!

John Bonham Amber Vistalite Reissue Drum Set Solo - JOEDRUMS1 This is my one and only Ludwig Amber Vistalite John Bonham ReIssue Kit. The Bass Drum is 26"x14", the Snare is the Ludwig 402 Supraphonic Chrome 14"x6.5", the Toms are 14"x10", 16"x16", 18"x16". All the cymbals are PAISTE 2002 series. The Hi-hats are Sound Edge 15", the Crashes are 16", 18", 20", the Ride is 24". No muffling was used except felt strips for the Bass Drum (Front & Back). Thanks for watching. Keep Rockin'

Dave's Gibson 1959 reissue Ballad to a Backing track-Song for Nia Dave here with another original piece to a backing track...Song for Nia. This backing track gave me a lot of problems early on and I had no idea what to do with it until one night in mid January when it came to me. Then the piece wrote itself...I hope you enjoy it as much as I do playing it! The backing sounds similar to the Def Leppard song Love Bites although I'm not a huge fan of the band. This piece features my 2000 Gibson 1959 re-issue Les Paul guitar. I played through my Digitech 2120 guitar processor powered by a Mesa Boogie 20 watt per channel stereo power amp. It goes through 2 Marshall 4x12 cabinets in stereo. I also used my Small pointed Lite V-Pick... The BEST guitar picks in the world! Check them out at v-

Gibson Les Paul Junior 1958 re-issue in Satin Cherry - Nevada Music UK Buy the Gibson Jnr here... Aside from Gibson's Melody Maker I think I'm right in saying that Gibson's Les Paul Junior range is the most basic that the company produce. You may well view this guitar as limited in its range and capabilities, however I think I may be able to convince you otherwise as I've played many gigs with one of these guitars. First off, what's it made of and how's it been assembled.... The body and neck are solid Mahogany with a Satin finish nitrocellulose lacquer over an eye catching Cherry. The Rosewood Fretboard carries 22 nickel silver alloy medium gauge frets and white dot markers to aid orientation, whilst on the headstock the machine heads are made by Grover. The single bridge position P 90 pickup is operated via its volume and tone controls which just leaves Gibson's Vintage Style Wraparound Bridge to finish off the appointments. The beauty of the Gibson Les Paul Junior 1958 is in its simplicity, its a design that has been popular for decades and still excites new generations of guitarists today, plus of course there's the added advantage that the simpler the design - the less likely it is to go wrong ... by Gig Stig The fact that Gibson's Les Paul Junior first went into production in 1954 and still thrives today is in itself pretty remarkable, given we live in a digital, gadget drenched environment where whistles and bells seem to rule. Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue Demo with a Fender Strat I picked up a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue recently and wanted to show how it sounds with a Fender Stratocaster. When I was looking for video reviews, I had trouble finding demos either (a) of the Reissue, (b) where the playing and the amp weren't spotlighted well, or (c) where the demo was through something other than a straight Stratocaster (what I played in this video).

Fender Princeton Reverb Reissue - The Fender Princeton Reverb Reissue is a faithful recreation of the original. Warm, sweet reverb and spanky Fender blackface tone all in a small 15 watt format with a Jensen 10 speaker. The Fender Princeton Reverb squeals out the country when coupled with a Telecaster and chugs out the blues with a Stratocaster. Plug in some humbuckers and watch out! Originally released by Gibson back in 1963, the ES-335 Block Re-issue harks back to an age when Chuck Berry would duck-walk across the stage clutching this very same model. The ES-335 Block re-issue is presented here in an immaculate Iced Tea finish and as you'd expect with the Gibson designers all reproduced parts are period correct to provide that authentic 1960's look and feel to this classic instrument ... The Gibson ES-335 Block re-issue model has a lightweight Maple centerblock to provide its classic semi-solid resonance and tonal characteristics. The ES-335 Block reissue model has a three-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body construction. There's single-ply cream binding on the top and back and a five-ply '63 style long pickguard. The hardware is nickel, with an ABR bridge and stop tailpiece, whilst the neck is an identical re-creation of the Gibson 1960's style slim tapered neck. The ES-335 Block Re-issue comes with Gibson '57 Classic Humbucker pickups, they are controlled by two volume pots, two tone pots, and a three-way selector switch and the leave the factory strung with Gibson Brite Wire .010 strings inside a black levant case, to enhance their historic feel and presence. Solid one-piece mahogany body with single cream binding and maple top with gold-top finish. One-piece mahogany neck with a nice medium profile and narrow (50s style) headstock. Rosewood fretboard with 22 medium frets and inlaid pearl crown position markers. Headstock with pearl "Gibson" and crown inlays. Original 1968 two-layer black on white truss-rod cover with two screws, engraved in white "Les Paul". Individual Gibson Deluxe 'double-line' tuners with double-ring Keystone plastic buttons. Serial number "004670313" stamped into the back of the headstock. Two original 1952 P-90 pickups with balanced outputs of 7.50k and 7.54k. Original (1952) cream plastic pickup covers (with no stamping on the underside). Cream plastic pickguard. Daves 1959 Les Paul reissue Composition to a backing track called Reflections Dave here with an original piece for the backing track called Reflections. I played it with my Gibson 1959 re-issue Les Paul. I used a Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah wah pedal, a Jim Dunlop Jazz 3 pick, my Digitech 2120 guitar processor, a Mesa Boogie 20 watt per channel stereo power amp through 2 Marshall 4x12's in stereo....This clip was ready to be recorded over a month ago but the high heat and humidity here made it torture to sit and play for more than a few minutes. I finally just had to do it but I was sweating bullets as you can see! Please enjoy this clip and tell friends about it if you like it!
