Carpenters - The Rainbow Connection Recorded in 1981 for the "Made In America" album, this performance is a work lead by Karen. The song was recorded with just piano, bass and drums, and vocals by Karen to introduce the song for the other musicians and to familiarize them with Richard's arrangement. Had the song been completed, other instruments would have been added such as strings and horns, and later, Karen would have come back to the studio and recorded a new vocal track. Karen recorded the song at Richard's request, but simply didn't like the song, and so Richard never completed it. Years later, after Karen's death, fans learned of the track and begged Richard to release it. In an interview, Richard stated, "If I ever released it, Karen would come down and get me!" But twenty years after Karen recorded the song, Richard began work on the last Carpenters album, a Japanese CD entitled "As Time Goes By" released in 2001, and he decided to complete the song and include it on the CD. To put this song into historical context, it was recorded a year after Karen completed her solo album, an album which she decided to shelve at the urging of A&M. She then returned to the studio to begin recording what turned out to be her last Carpenters album, "Made In America." Her solo album has been described as her effort to change her image by breaking away from traditional Carpenters songs and recording songs with more risque lyrics in a higher tone of voice. BRINK Gameplay HD This is a Brink Gameplay recorded during the pax. I have not recorded it by myselfe, I am just the uploader. Brink is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Splash Damage and inspired by the Seasteading movement, scheduled for release during Q2 2011. It offers team-based multiplayer missions with authored narratives, persistent player characters and an approachable nature. It is also developer Splash Damage's first original title, as past titles were part of franchises. In Brink, two sides, "Resistance" and "Security", fight in the previously utopian city known as The Ark, a floating city surrounded by the waters of a flooded Earth. The Ark was designed as a prototype of a perfect city, with renewable resources and no pollution, large enough to support 5000 residents. However, due to many refugees entering the city from other parts of the world, its population has grown to 50000, meaning there are not enough resources to go around - resulting in the city being on the brink (hence the name of the game) of a civil war. Black Box Ride on Time [ 1989 ] HD version "Ride on Time" is a 1989 song recorded by band Black Box. It was later released on their debut LP Dreamland. The song achieved a great success in many countries, such as UK and Ireland where it was a number-one hit. The song was written and produced by the Italian production team Groove Groove Melody, consisting of DJ Daniel Davoli, programmer Mirko Limoni and musician Valerio Semplici. The team worked with model Catherine Quinol (aka Katrin), who was the face of Black Box. In the video and in live performances she lip-synced to the original vocals. Ludwig Van Beethoven - Grosse Fuge, Op. 133, Part I As I promised to upload more pieces, please welcome Ludwig Van Beethoven and his Große Fuge(Grosse Fuge), Opus 133! He wrote this piece when he was completely deaf a short time before he died, in 1825-1826. The Große Fuge is a single-movement composition for string quartet by Ludwig van Beethoven. Beethoven originally composed the massive fugue as the final movement of his String Quartet No. 13 (Op. 130). However, the Fugue was so demanding of contemporary performers and unpopular with audiences that Beethoven's publisher urged him to write a new finale for the string quartet. Beethoven, notorious for his stubborn personality and indifference to public opinion or taste, acquiesced to his publisher's request on this occasion and published the Fugue as a separate opus number, opus 133. He then wrote a finale that replaced the Fugue, which is considerably lighter in character, more akin to the other movements of the opus 130 quartet. Today, performances of the quartet include either the Fugue or its replacement movement. This is my third video, after Pachelbel's Canon: and Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre: I see you enjoy the pieces from your very lovely comments. It encourages me to upload more^^ BTW, this(the Fuge) is one of my favorites. I have first heard this piece in the movie "Copying Beethoven". I enjoyed the movie very much, highly recommended.
