  • Gunung Sinabung - Timelapse 5 (fake HD) Timelapse movie from the webcam at Gunung Sinabung. (from 5:31:40 to 20:15:00 local time - september 13th, 2010) The server was rather unstable for 20 minutes this morning, from about 11 o'clock, and was offline again from 16:37:35 until 17:50:55 local time, but came back on without further problems. You'll notice that the movie "jumps" a few times and later on "freezes" for a short while. Sinabung is seemingly rather calm today, which is remarkable after the heavy rains that hit the area yesterday evening. No lahars seem to have occurred. The original webcam footage is only 640*480 @ 4 frames per minute, and YouTube makes a mess of it re-compressing during upload... so i upped it to "fake HD" before uploading, so it looks decent... hence the title! After nightfall another display of nature got caught by the webcam... at the end of this timelapse you will see a celestial body move across the night sky. This is probably either Venus or a waxing Moon... maybe somebody can confirm this?

COMCAST is facing an increasing online backlash for re-compressing HD channels so that it can increase its channel offerings. Users began noticing degraded HD quality and posted screenshots in forums comparing the Comcast images with Verizon's FiOS HD images. Comcast's HD showed increased pixillation and distortion. A company spokesperson confirmed the practice, saying "Compression is a reality." Perhaps, but this is certainly a poor time for a cable company to offer lower video quality than a telco TV service. SONY has launched C-Spot, a new online comedy channel. C-Spot features short-form comedies, including "Hot Hot Los Angeles" and "The Roadents," an animated show about traveling guinea pigs. Because I felt like it and wanted to make a video. It made me realize I need to get specified equipment, I had to compress this guy like 10 times over what I normally have to. Wait.... damnit now I'm recompressing it. SHRINK DAMN YOU. • Chaos Rising Theme 5 After re-rendering this theme with fast filtering with an equalizer and recompressing, I can now rest peacefully. This is one of my favourite Chaos themes from the damned-by-wh40k-fans Dawn of War 2 Chaos Rising (heard mostly in menu), which is not mentioned in any albums nor published. It was intercepted from the soundboard while the game menu session was running. To some extent, this theme reminds me of the beckoning powers of Chaos, carnage and destruction it creates and the mischief that still has to be done.

Yes folks, I revised this because I was so bored but IT WAS A PAIN! This video... Was so high quality when I was editing it but after... RECOMPRESSING IT 20 TIMES BECAUSE THE VIDEO HAD SOME CODING ERROR!! Made me mad... Ugh... And the subtitles were a nusiance and the quality ends up LIKE THIS!! It HAS TO END UP LIKE THIS!! I'm too tired to fix it though FAQ: So the whole point is to find Taroumacis in the maze? Answer: No. No it's not. The point of this quest is to get as many passes as possible. The Taroumacis thing is just a shortcut that Keyaki-jin (Keyaki people) have made so the time they spend in the maze is shorter. What prizes can you get? Answer: If you people READ THE END OF THIS REVISED VERSION then you'd know. What is [blah blah blah] song? Answer: READ THE CREDITS! That's what the CREDITS are there for. It's there so you know what's in the video and what programs were used to make it, plus there's copyright issues and junk so bleh. Which character are you? Answer: I'm the female axe fighter/swordman with a black Angelica haircut, a blue bamboo hat, Dark Jagoon Armor for females, Blue White Bottoms, a sucky Rising 2H Axe that's only +3 with 84 attack and 5 STR, a monkey named [Japanese Monkey] and some level 35 gloves. • 1000 Subscribers the important stuff starts at 0:58 the song i play in the beginning is called Intoxication by Jon Novacek. don't ask for the music because there is only like 1 in the world, and i got a hold of it. hehe The second song in the background is just me improvising. This is the message Thrawst sent me. Hi Weston, I'll try to answer this as best I can as I have done with others. Basically there's a lot of the same videos out there already, especially one's that are Rubik's related, so anything apart from the ordinary, that is also well put together will naturally get more attention. For example, I was the first one to post "How To Solve a Rubik's Cube" tutorials on YouTube, Dan Brown was the first one to teach the simplified (and easier, people love easier How To's) How to Solve a Rubik's Cube video and see where those videos are now. Really all it takes is one video to get more views. However there also has to be an expected level of quality to these videos as well (and not only for How To videos), if a video looks bad on YouTube try re-compressing it and find out what does look good (it's taken me quite a long time to figure that out). So it's not only about a popular video but also a good looking one. Essentially what it is is posting something that the community hasn't seen yet (doesn't necessarily have to be the cubing community), when answering challenge videos i try not to do the challenge alone but i put a twist to it (such as doing them on the roof, or ...

The title is "Film Rrose" and is a play in Noir and also an homage to Rrose Selavy (Marcel Duchamp's film making alter-ego). This version is only a rough cut and is in the process of being fine-tuned and edited with a monologue and music by Teaadora Nikolova. Please give feedback, but remember that many things will be different in the final cut. The blurry scene near the end was supposed to be a love scene, but came out strange. However, in the spirit of Duchamp - I decided to keep it anyway. The film was shot on 16mm black and white film stock and transferred to digital. The cut was too long and instead of re-compressing it, I decided to break it up into two parts.. so check out both in order.
  • Gunung Sinabung - Timelapse 3 (fake HD) Timelapse movie from the webcam at Gunung Sinabung. (from 12:03:28 to 20:12:59 local time - september 11th, 2010) The server was offline for three hours, but came back without further problems. You'll notice that the movie skips several places. Sinabung shows just before sunset what she is up to... and after dark mother nature displays another stunning phenomena: lighting... lighting up Gunung Sinabung and her steamplume. The original webcam footage is only 640*480 @ 4 frames per minute, and youtube makes a mess of it re-compressing during upload... so i upped it to "HD" before uploading, so it looks decent...
  • Golgo 13 - Jazz Opening Better quality - Removed jpop intro and replaced with a snappy jazz beat. Video recompressing was terrible, I have no idea what I'm doing :) Song: I'm Ready (feat. Steve Winwood), by Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra Chopped down to fit the OP.
  • End of Evangelion (Renewal HQ): Asuka Returns! (EVA 02 vs. JISSDF (Updated) A clip from End of Evangelion. Watch in 480p Presented in Japanese with English Subtitles (note: unlike the 1st version that I posterd up a few months ago, the sound for this version has been left alone. Originally, modified music was done by simply adding the music from the CD soundtrack and raised the volume on it, but still drowned out the original audio. This has been corrected. Picture has also been improved, since the first version had to deal with re-compressing the image which resulted to a little bit more blockiness and slightly altered colorization. Recompression has not been applied for this version.)
