Actually, energy is carried thanks to electromagnetic waves. The elementary principle of induction enables electromagnetic waves to be created once alternative current travels through any conductive material. This is the case at the level of the transmitter as alternative current travels through the transmitting coil. On the receiver side, electromagnetic waves cause a current to be induced through the receipting coil. Induction is nice but has a very, very poor efficiency. That is why we chose to use electromagnetic coupling of both transmitter and receiver circuits : these circuits constitute two LC tank circuits that resonate at the same frequency. Thus, all the inductive reactance of both circuits is deleted, impedance is as low as circuits' resistance, power dissipation is lowered, efficiency is greatly increased ! Transmitter circuit is a royer oscillator, oscillation is created between two MOSFETs which are alternatively On and Off at a rhythm defined by the LC tank circuit made of 8 capacitors and a large copper coil.
