The God Particle September 2007 It's one of the great unanswered questions of science. What gives matter its mass? By generating conditions present moments after the big bang, scientists hope to locate the elusive 'God Particle'. Lecture 10 | New Revolutions in Particle Physics: Basic Concepts (December 3, 2009) Leonard Susskind gives the tenth lecture of a three-quarter sequence of courses that will explore the new revolutions in particle physics. In this lecture he continues on the subject of quantum field theory, including, the diary equation and Higgs Particles. Leonard Susskind, Felix Bloch Professor of Physics, received a PhD from Cornell University and has taught at Stanford since 1979. He has won both the Pregel Award from the New York Academy of Science and the JJ Sakurai Prize in theoretical particle physics. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences. Higgins, GENEVA Scientists switched on the world's largest atom smasher for the first time since the $10 billion machine suffered a spectacular failure more than a year ago, circulating beams of protons in a significant leap forward for the Large Hadron Collider. The European Organization for Nuclear Research has taken the restart of the collider step by step to avoid further setbacks as it moves toward new scientific experiments — probably starting in January — regarding the makeup of matter and the universe. It has undergone a year of repairs after it was heavily damaged by a simple electrical fault. Progress on restarting the machine, on the border between Switzerland and France, went faster than expected Friday evening and the first beam circulated in a clockwise direction around the machine at about 10 pm local time, said James Gillies, spokesman for the European Organization for Nuclear Research. "Some of the scientists had gone home and had to be called back in," Gillies told The Associated Press. The exact time of the start of the Large Hadron Collider was difficult to predict because it was based on how long it took to perform steps along the way, and in the end it happened about nine hours earlier than expected, Gillies said. Real Time 3D Fluid and Particle Simulation and Rendering This application uses a GPU based 3D fluid solver with a moving domain to seamlessly advect hundreds of thousands of particles. We use a globally second-order accurate fluid simulation method which takes constant calculation time, leading to a highly turbulent but stable simulation suitable for use in a real-time situation. In this demo our solver is used to simulate the turbulent wake behind a car, and we render smoke transported through that wake with a hardware-based volume renderer. The simulation domain is at a fixed position relative to the car, and we exploit Galilean invariance to transform the moving simulation domain into a motionless domain with inflow and outflow boundary conditions. Particles are advected through this fluid, but seamlessly transition to simple Newtonian dynamics as they leave the simulation domain. After simulation, the particles are sorted using a GPU-accelerated radix sort, and then rendered as alpha blended sprites with motion blur and volumetric shadows.

I've changed/tweaked probably %90 of all the particles, Some you just don't change because there's no reason or anything you can do.
