  • The Book of Abraham, Part 1 This is Part 1 of a video I made to help everyone better understand the circumstances surrounding the translation of The Book of Abraham. Including questions such as how did Joseph get the ancient Papyri, where is the Papyri now and what is on the fragments that are in the possession of the Church today. I hope that you enjoy it, and that it helps answer any questions you might have. I do allow comments on my videos, but they must be approved by me. I used to allow them automatically but the comments section just turned into a big argument forum, with most comments completely off topic and full of crude, vulgar language. In the Bronze Age the only burns that qualify were from volcanic ash fallout. The Egyptian medical data show Egypt was hit by volcanic ash, a point still not accepted by mainstream archaeology, academics, history, mass media etc. A volcanic eruption is fully consistent with the nature and order of the events known as biblical plagues of Egypt.

  • Vatican Library Opens Doors After Three Years of Restoration One of the world's oldest libraries based at the Vatican will open its doors this month after three years of restoration. The library has been brought into modern times with new technological installations. It is home to some of the world's rarest m***cripts. The Vatican library will throw open its doors this month after three years of restoration that will better display and preserve some of the world's rarest books. The library, located inside the Vatican walls, was first established by Pope Nicholas V in 1451, when the pontiff decided to share his m***cript collection rather than keep it privately for himself. Today the library is home to some 75 thousand m***cripts and over 1.1 million books. In order to study within the library you either have to be an expert on a particular publication or show you are a teacher or a university student doing a PhD. Now all the books and m***cripts have not only had a good dust but have also been fitted with micro chips to help track their location. [Ambrogio Maria Piazzoni, Deputy Prefect, Apostolic Vatican Library]: "We established a radio-frequency control system for books because in a library like this if a book is put back in the wrong place it's like losing it, we would not find it again if not by chance. With this new system it's much easier to keep track of books. Researchers will also find technological innovations like wi-fi internet connection available in every room. They will be able to use their own laptop computers ...

  • Abusir Pyramids اهرامات ابوصير Abusir (Egyptian pr wsjr; busiri, the House or Temple of Osiris; Greek: Βούσιρις; Arabic: ابوصير‎) is the name given to an Egyptian archaeological locality -- specifically, an extensive necropolis of the Old Kingdom period, together with later additions -- in the vicinity of the modern capital Cairo. The name is also that of a neighbouring village in the Nile Valley, from whence the site takes its name. Abusir is located several kilometres north of Saqqara and, like it, served as one of the main elite cemeteries for the ancient Egyptian capital city of Memphis. Several other villages in northern and southern Egypt are named Abusir or Busiri. Abusir is one relatively small segment of the extensive "pyramid field" that extends from north of Giza to below Saqqara, the locality of Abusir took its turn as the focus of the prestigious western burial rites operating out of the then-capital of Memphis during the Old Kingdom 5th Dynasty. As an elite cemetery, neighbouring Giza had by then "filled up" with the massive pyramids and other monuments of the 4th Dynasty, leading the 5th Dynasty pharaohs to seek sites elsewhere for their own funerary monuments. Abusir was the origin of the largest find of Old Kingdom papyri to date — the Abusir Papyri. In the late nine***th century, a number of Western museums acquired collections of fragmentary papyri from the administrative (temple) records of one Abusir funerary cult, that of king Neferirkare Kakai. This discovery was supplemented in ...

  • Proof Joseph Smith Can't Translate The Book of Abraham is a purported translation in 1835[1] by Joseph Smith, Jr. of a set of Egyptian papyri purchased from a traveling mummy exhibition. According to Smith, the book was "a translation of some ancient records....purporting to be the writings of Abraham, while he was in Egypt, called the Book of Abraham, written by his own hand, upon papyrus".[2] Smith's ostensible translation of the papyri describes a story of Abraham's early life, including a vision of the cosmos. The complete work was first published serially in the Latter Day Saint movement newspaper Times and Seasons in 1842.[3] and later canonized in 1880 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) as part of their Pearl of Great Price.[1] Thus, it forms a doctrinal foundation for the LDS Church and Mormon fundamentalist denominations of the Latter Day Saint movement. It is not, however, considered to be a religious text by the Community of Christ or other groups deriving from the teachings of Joseph Smith. The Book of Abraham papyri were thought lost in the Great Chicago Fire. However, in 1966 ten fragments of the papyri were found in the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Subsequently, an additional fragment was located in the LDS Church Historian's Office. They are now referred to as the Joseph Smith Papyri. Both Mormon and non-Mormon Egyptologists agree that the Book of Abraham is not a literal translation of these papyri, and that the papyri were not ...

  • Bar Code Baphomet.wmv The newest volume of Oxyrhynchus Papyri contains a fragmentary papyrus of Revelation which is the earliest known witness to some sections (late third / early fourth century) The number that this papyrus assigns to the Beast: 616, rather than the usual 666. (665 is also found.) We knew that this variant existed: Irenaeus cites (and refutes) it. But this is the earliest instance that has so far been found. The number — chi, iota, stigma (hexakosiai deka hex) — is in the third line of the fragment shown. I listened to a radio interview, done by Steve Quayle of Stewart Best who has the website True Insight. The discussion was that 616 is being promoted as the number of the Beast rather than the 666 we have always been told was the number we were to be afraid of. The gist of the discussion was to say that Christians are being led astray, to think that everything that is going on in the world with numbers right now, considering we are all being given various identification numbers, with more coming in the future. The mark of the Beast is to be given to each man and woman and no one will be able buy, sell, or trade without the mark of the Beast embedded in their hand or their forehead. Some Christians think they don't have to worry about it because they will be raptured off the earth before the mark of the Beast is given to people. • Papyrus, Egyption Paper, Egypt by For Bookings: For More Video: Papyrus (pronounced /pəˈpaɪrəs/) is a thick paper-like material produced from the pith of the papyrus plant, Cyperus papyrus,[1] a wetland sedge that was once abundant in the Nile Delta of Egypt. Papyrus usually grow 23 meters (59 ft) tall. Papyrus is first known to have been used in ancient Egypt (at least as far back as the First dynasty), but it was also used throughout the Mediterranean region. Ancient Egypt used this plant for boats, mattresses, mats, and paper. Papyrus was first manufactured in Egypt as far back as the third millennium BC.[2] In the first centuries BC and AD, papyrus scrolls gained a rival as a writing surface in the form of parchment, which was prepared from animal skins.[3] Sheets of parchment were folded to form quires from which book-form codices were fashioned. Early Christian writers soon adopted the codex form, and in the Græco-Roman world it became common to cut sheets from papyrus rolls in order to form codices. Codices were an improvement on the papyrus scroll as the papyrus was not strong enough to fold without cracking and a long roll, or scroll, was required to create large volume texts. Papyrus had the advantage of being relatively cheap and easy to produce, but it was fragile and susceptible to both moisture and excessive dryness. Unless the papyrus was of good quality, the writing surface was irregular, and the range of media that could be used was also limited. By ...
