CS 1.6 map optimalization problem Hi! I want to make a CS 1.6 map. I have big problem with optimalization. My map has huge wpoly number, no hiding like on other maps (first some minutes shows some original CS 1.6 maps). Ingame performance is good on my PC, but on an older, I think it would be bad. Garageband for iPad review Hi, I probably was one of the first buyers of the Garageband for iPad application. In this video review I show you some of the possibilities. If you can't make it to the end of the video, these were my conclusions: + incredible possibilities for an incredible price + smart instruments are very cool for playing on the iPad (strumming guitar techniques, playing drums tapping) - you really need an external keyboard if you want to do some serious (keyboard) playing by yourself - there is no way of editing things you recorded on the iPad, I hope this will become available in future versions of the product BTW I used the 'original' iPad and hardly noticed any delays etc (sometimes a quick performance optimalization). In one hour I used it for the review I had one crash, but as the song is being saved to flash ram, I could relaunch the app and continue working without anything lost!

A Great game with excellent gameplay, amazing graphics and outstanding story, not to mention the music and the sound effects. An FPS with lots of RPG elements. Rig: Dell Inspiron n5110 Nvidia Geforce GT 525M 1024MB DDR3 Intel Core i7 2000-2900 MHz 4GB RAM Settings: Overall Med-High, with DX11 Tessellation, Edge AA (works also with MLAA) FXAA doesn't work with this card! (resolved now with the latest drivers) Vsync, Normal Shadows. I don't recommend enabling soft shadows, but you can get 25-30 FPS with that Recorded in 1280*720, but in the laptop's native 1366*768 resolution it runs just as good! 50-60 FPS average without FRAPS (in city hubs it's around 50) 40-50 with FRAPS I recommend enabling the latest patch, it brings lots of optimalization!

So 337300 should be about optimal (as far as songs with freestyles can be optimalized). I slightly changed the angle of the camera, I think it looks better this way. The drum kit view is slightly out of sync in the beginning, but gets better as the song progresses.

unusual Debian restarting (without BIOS/GRUB reload) EDIT: "kexec-tools" causes it, solved I install debian lenny using CD installer (expert install, only base files, skipping GNOME and some programs). I updated to debian squeeze/sid and install KDE4 (using synaptic) + some programs. I was make some Ubuntu bootup speed optimalization (useful for Debian also), plus install "readahead", see www.itnews.sk (after translating from slovak to english might be readable for you). My kernel is 2.6.32-3-amd64 (stock, non custom-compiled). System restarts without BIOS and GRUB reloading. When i focus on keyboard for second, the leds (num, caps, scroll lock) flashed, after that kernel was reloaded (no screen cleanup, harder to read). No kernel/OS selection possible (at GRUB), i have to use RESET button (sorry for my EN).

I think medium or high settings with 1280x720 is best choice for this laptop. The video was generated by a renderer, which was implemented as part of the master thesis. 826 frames, total rendering time of all frames is 296h. Average render time per 1 frame = 21 min. (1280x720, samples: 32-64 adaptive blur/supersampling, 2 dof, 1 soft shadows, 1 distributed reflection, 1 distributed refraction, 3 recursion) Video is rendered on more computer, but total time is sum of all frame times. So the total time is as if the whole animation was rendered by only one computer. Processors: Core2duo T8100 (2 threads), Core2duo T9300 (2 threads), AMD Athlon X4 620 (4 threads), Core i7 2,8Ghz (8 threads). The average processor is about the Athlon X4 620 2,6Ghz (4 threads). Master thesis deals with the method of distributed ray tracing focusing on optimalization of this method. The method uses simulation of some attributes of light by distributing rays of lights and it produces high quality and partly realistic images. The price for realitic effects is the high computational complexity of the method. The thesis ***ysis the theory connected with these aspects. A large part describes optimalizations of this method, ie searching for the nearest triangle intersection using kd-trees, quasi random sampling with faster convergence, the use of SSE instruction set and fast ray - triangle intersection. Server: Two Eagles PvP It is shortage record of siege between guild The Headhunters (att) and guild QpoWarCry (def). I suppose both guilds showed up with two full raids,so it was huge and exciting battle - 48 vs 48. QpoWarCry defended their Battlekeep and won siege. We would like to say "thank you" to HH, because it was great fun to play against you. Even if quality of movie is not the highest i must say that FC did great job with optimalization since launch, because i was able to record this movie while playing with almost everything on high details (by almost i mean shadows off, particles on med), resolution 1680x1050, dx9, aax2. The idea of this movie is that mass pvp in AoC exists eventually and that it is playable.
