  • Ron Paul: We Need Sunlight to Disinfect the Legislative Process! 8/24/09 www.house.gov During August recess, many legislators have heard an unexpected amount of discontent from their constituents about what is happening on Capitol Hill, particularly regarding healthcare. Some people are justifiably terrified at what the government could do to healthcare, should it get its claws even further into it. Others demand a public option for health insurance and are adamant that healthcare be treated as yet other absolute entitlement. One thing everyone agrees on is that the final bill needs to be read and understood by all legislators before a vote is taken. To any American, this is common sense. In Washington, that is unlikely to happen. There is much confusion and debate over what is and is not in the reform plan being considered. Are there or are there not so-called death panels? What are the end-of-life consultations really for? How will private insurance be affected? Can you keep your current plan or will you eventually be forced into a government plan? Will it pay for elective abortions or not? What are the implications for medical privacy? The truth is no one knows what will be in the final bill until it is on the House floor, and provisions could be added in and taken out in the wee hours of the morning before. In February, the House was forced to vote on an over 1000 page stimulus bill that had first been posted on the internet just after midnight the morning of the vote. It passed. Then in June, House leaders rushed a ...

  • 4409 -- McCain is a Psychopath, liar, flip flopper, scam artist, legislative terrorist, PLEASE READ THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION BELOW www.Formula4409.com This video is more about McCain's psychopathic lying, than amnesty. REMEMBER, there is NOTHING temporary about a guest slave worker that never leaves. I am NOT for amnesty but I'm also NOT in favor of biometric slave cards issued by a corrupt government to illegals or citizens alike. The government has no right to coerce or force individuals to work not work for someone or dictate how much their labor can be exchanged for. THAT my friend, is not freedom. John McCain's ultimate goal along with his masters has been to create a national biometric ID card. They will try to implement this crap via a slave card for illegals first, which will translate to amnesty. Then it will be implemented on the American citizens. Without this card you will not be able to work. This is done in order for the government to get steady stream (cut) of your labor. THAT is not freedom, that is tyranny. Essentially they want to bar code everyone for the corporation called THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Just because we are already screwed and bar coded (SS CARD, Drivers license, birth certificates etc) does not mean we should advocate that other people get bar coded and/or marked. Shouldn't all citizens strive to be undocumented from the government? What are your thoughts? What would be your solution? John McCain Ad Spoof: Complete the Danged (Death Star) Fence

  • Reality Report - Global Pandemic, Blair Holt Firearms Act, Ammunition Accountability | In this edition of the Reality Report Gary raises concerns about the global pandemic, legislation that is threatening our right to keep and bear arms, and he takes a trip to the gun range to squeeze off a few rounds. TRANSCRIPT Hello, Gary Franchi here for another edition of the Reality Report on Freedom.TV In these troubling times, our second amendment right to own a firearm is becoming more at risk everyday. There are currently two troubling pieces of legislation that threaten one of our most sacred rights set forth by our founding fathers. Several forms of the Ammunition Accountability Act are currently being pushed in 18 states that would require all ammunition to be encoded and taxed, and it would require the creation of a database recording all ammunition made and sold. The bill would also demand that all unencoded ammunition be destroyed by 2011. On top of that, the Blair Holt Firearm Act (HR 45) - introduced by Illinois Democrat Bobby Rush - greatly restricts our ability to acquire firearms to protect ourselves. Remember the words of our founding document, "The right to KEEP and BEAR arms shall NOT be infringed." With the fear of a global pandemic on the rise-in a society where our very freedoms are on the line- it is important that we are able to arm and defend ourselves. Please visit GunShows- to find out about gun shows near you. This is urgent America, arm yourselves and be prepared to defend the liberty and freedom that is our ...

  • Ukraine parliament fight 27.04.2010. Ukraine's parliament erupted into chaos on Tuesday as deputies scuffled and hurled smoke bombs during a tumultuous session that ratified a bitterly contested deal with Russia extending a naval base lease. Despite the extraordinary scenes that saw parliament -- the Verkhovna Rada -- filled with smoke, lawmakers ratified the deal to extend the stay of the Russian Black Sea fleet until at least 2042, denounced by the opposition as a sell-out for Ukraine. The uproar started when the parliament speaker, Volodymr Lytvyn, was pelted with a volley of a dozen eggs, forcing him to duck for cover behind black umbrellas held by two aides. Several smoke bombs were thrown, apparently by pro-Western opposition deputies, filling the chamber with smoke. Some deputies covered their faces or held handkerchiefs to their noses as alarms sounded. A fistfight broke out on the deputies' benches and one lawmaker was seen thumping a colleague on the head. Another gripped a fellow deputy in a headlock as others piled in with eager punches. Deputies also started fighting over a massive Ukrainian flag in the middle of the chamber, twisting and distorting the yellow and blue banner as smoke kept billowing. Andriy Shevchenko, a member of parliament from the bloc headed by former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, acknowledged that the smoke bombs were thrown by "our deputies". But he called the action justified. "History will be our judge," Shevchenko said. "In principle, the mood was to use ...

  • Rep. Markey in E&C Hearing asks GOP if they plan to legislate against Gravity, Relativity Remarks of Rep. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) Subcommittee on Energy and Power 3/10/11 Mr. Chairman, I rise in opposition to a bill that overturns the scientific finding that pollution is harming our people and our planet. However, I won't physically rise, because I'm worried that Republicans will overturn the law of gravity, sending us floating about the room. I won't call for the sunlight of additional hearings, for fear that Republicans might excommunicate the finding that the Earth revolves around the sun. Instead, I'll embody Newton's third law of motion and be an equal and opposing force against this attack on science and on laws that will reduce America's importation of foreign oil. This bill will live in the House while simultaneously being dead in the Senate. It will be a legislative Schrodinger's cat killed by the quantum mechanics of the legislative process! Arbitrary rejection of scientific fact will not cause us to rise from our seats today. But with this bill, pollution levels will rise. Oil imports will rise. Temperatures will rise. And with that, I yield back the balance of my time. That is, unless a rejection of Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity is somewhere in the chair's amendment pile.
