How, then, do scholars construct who the "historical Jesus" was? There are several principles that historical Jesus researchers follow, which include considering data that 1) has multiple attestations and 2) is dissimilar to a text's theological tendencies as more likely to be historical. Ripon Wisconsin Historical Film Footage (Part 1 of 2) Video Age Productions created this two-part video for Ripon, Etc., a local magazine show which highlights events and activities throughout the area. This episode features historic film footage from 1938 and 1939. The film footage from 1939 was shot by an unknown videographer. This footage features numerous businesses in the community including Vieth Co., First National Bank, Ripon Lumber, and DuVall's Grocery as well as Ripon College and local service clubs. The footage from 1946 was shot by John Hritsko and shows the area around the Grandview Hotel which was located on the north end of the square where City Hall is currently located. We would like to thank the Ripon Historic Society and Gladys Hritsko for allowing Ripon Main Street, Inc. to convert the film to digital format. Lady Jane Grey - Historical Controversy A short video regarding the Execution of Lady Jane Grey on 12th February 1554, and the historical controversy that has surrounded it. 'The Tower of London, a Historical Romance', a popular novel from 1840, fed a lot of the untruths surrounding Jane's imprisonment. The famous painting of the Execution of Lady Jane Grey, by Paul Delaroche, became a fascinating focal point for this vast interest in Lady Jane, but how accurate is his depiction? Despite the location and costuming being wildly inaccurate, Delaroche captures the essence of that event. The clips inserted are from the film 'Lady Jane' -- (another very inaccurate version of her story) however the execution was completed with some accuracy.
