Original Dead Squirrel, Girl, Greyhound...Unnexpected May, 2008 our newly adopted (leased!) Greyhound, Ivy unexpectedly walked right up to a healthy squirrel standing stock still & quick as lightning, killed it with one shake. She dropped it & walked on, my husband behind her, his jaw agape. I went to retrieve the squirrel to reverently bury it. I ducked in the house for a shovel. Meanwhile..our daughter picked it up..with so much love.

Earl Greyhound debut "Oya Vaiya" on Earl Greyhound say they won't release their new record on Some Records this time around...which is a big loss for the label based on the way this new track sounds. The band entered our Pop Machine studio seemingly a little unsure about this new track, Oye Vaya, but after all was said and done, as you can see and hear, they have nothing to be concerned about. This new song is a rip-roarin' good time and is sure to rebuild any lost momentum the band might be feeling. Matt Whyte, Kamara Thomas and "Big" Ricc Sheridan have a sound as big and bold as Ricc's massive drum kit. The sound is loud and powerful enough to fill stadiums and wow festival crowds. You might think playing sets with as much energy as they do, they'd tire out after eight to ten songs, but that night at Radio Radio, following our session, they almost had to be removed from the stage so we wouldn't break curfew. I think they might have just played all night if the club would have let them. It's great to see bands still out there bringing back an original take on 70s monster rock. See them live and you're guaranteed to feel things maybe only a lucky few of our parents experienced back in the day. They say they plan to self-release this next, as yet untitled, record, and are currently on tour, throughout November, with Portugal the Man.

Greyhound Racing: The Truth Behind the Greyhound Racing Industry PROOF: Greyhounds are quite literally running for their lives. Greyhound racing is arguably one of the most exploiting forms of entertainment that we have today. Yet people who go to these tracks oftentimes don´t even realize what they are truly supporting. Yes, it is certainly no lie that greyhounds love to run. But no animal should have to run for the sole reason that people want to earn money. These dogs live for our entertainment. They are not well socialized and miss out on so many things that make a dog a dog things like getting to romp and play at a park, or learn a trick or two from their owners, or get out and have some fun exploring. Instead, these beautiful creatures are subjected to confinement and deprivation for most of their lives. And these are the lucky ones. The puppies that don´t make the cut are killed. They are killed, but why? The answer is simple. These are the puppies that they know won´t be profitable. If an animal isn´t profitable, then they are worthless in their eyes. What is so different about these dogs than the dogs that people have as pets? If someone were to have a pet dog and do these things to him or her, wouldn´t that be animal cruelty? Why or how can this be justified? It simply can´t. Watch this video to find out the truth yourself. And please, spread the word. The world is starting to wake up about this. The moving of GMC Greyhound Scenicruiser PD4501-1001 (EXP 331) 8-8-08 Moving of GMC Greyhound Scenicruiser PD4501-1001 from Belpre, Ohio to Peoria, IL. 8-8-08 Full restoration will begin within two years. Must finish PD4501-771first. In 1953 GMC built EXP 331 an experimental prototype bus that would eventually become the Scenicruiser. This is EXP331 you see in this video. Prior to it's creation, a full sized plaster model mock-up was built. EXP 331 was based directly on this mock-up. Even before this, I believe in 1949 GMC built the GX2. Anyway, after all testing and styling was completed, GMC began production of the PD4501 Scenicruiser in 1954. At the end of the planned 1000 run production, in 1956, Greyhound wanted EXP 331 finished as a bus, and added to the end of the run. So, EXP 331 became PD4501-1001. So, the bus you see in this video could be considered the first and last Scenicruiser ever made! Due to an earlier regulation, EXP 331 was built with an emergency exit door on the left side. No other Scenic was ever built this way. Greyhound removed the E-door some years later. It also was equipped with a factory spot light.It then went into service with the other 1000 cruisers.It remained in service at least until 1974. It still appeared on the 1974 Greyound roster. At some point between 74, and 1978 Ridgley coach, a charter company from Washington DC bought 1001. I do not know yet if Ridgley bought it from GH directly or from some other private company. If anyone has any doctumentation either way...I would love to here from you ...

Why I Love Italian Greyhounds Amelie and I are on a greeting card available at Target: Part II is now up! - This is why my wife and I are in love with our Italian Greyhounds. Every single night, Amelie rubs her face against ours, trying to get us to kiss her. Such a wonderful breed. The Italian Greyhound in this video was adopted. We did not buy her from a pet store or a breeder. Someone else bought her from a petstore and could not keep her. Our other two IG's are rescue dogs. There is no reason to buy from a breeder or a petstore. We got three pure bred Italian Greyhounds all under the age of 1 by adoption or rescue.

Greyhound bus ride adventure So I had this romantic idea of riding the bus partway cross country. Ya know the commercials, seeing the country, meeting interesting people and leaving the driving (and your life) to them....yeah. Well, I had a general idea of how it was going to be. Man, I had no idea just what an ordeal it really was. LOL This is just a short condensed trip vid when I actually felt like recording. First off, let me say that it is one of the most interesting ways to travel. Your mileage may vary, literally. It depends on several factors, the fellow passengers, especially ones seated next to you. The timetable and lay overs between stops and weather conditions. Those are the main factors that will determine your overall experience on the bus. You do see more than you would from an airline window, a lot more since it takes a LOT more time. Trip that takes hours on a plane translates into DAYS on the bus. Being confined to that small space compounds the chronology. The buses may not take direct routes to your destination. Instead of point A to point B route, you may take Point A to Point F via B, C, D, and E! The routes run generally along major interstates. In this post 911 era, most stations have a screening area for carry on. Not as aggressive as airlines, but its there. The drivers are generally pretty professional but some are more "hands on" than others. Some are jovial and joke with the passengers over the intercom as they introduce themselves and others are straight down to ...
