  • The Lighthouse Gorgonia is standing-up again! Today we finished the work as planned, we will ad some finishing in the next days and check again the Gorgonia health. After a 55 minute dive at 30 meters depth, we placed the Gorgonia up again, it was hard work [especially moving the stones LOL] but well worth it. We hope that all divers will appreciate that and that you will be careful not to damage the fan Coral of the Lighthouse. It will recover fast, due to the excellent position it should be a question of a few month only. Thanks a lot to Sebastien Kister who helped me these days, his work was very precious to succeed this task. Have great dives!

  • Gorgonians (Purple Bush) Gorgonians- There is NO better way to break up an aquascape than with a couple well placed Gorgonians. My favorite are the Purple varieties like the Purple Bush, Plume, or Frilly. There are two basic types of Gorgonians the photosynthetic (which we carry) and the non-photosynthetic. Photosynthetic Gorgonians are very hardy if placed in good water flow preventing algae & cyanobacteria growth on the coral which would cause rapid deterioration. Weekly feeding of Phytoplankton or Cyclops is recommended. The Gorgonian species is a moderate care level II coral and does best with medium lighting and moderate to swift water flow. Available at AQUARIUM OUTFITTERS.
