  • What Causes Gallbladder Disease? Do you know what causes gallbladder diseaes? Or what alternative medicine options you have? Judy Seeger, ND shares from her 33 years of experience in the alternative medicine field. Read the details here Gallbladder Disease Effects 20 million Americans - 25% of women by age 60 and 50% by age 70 -- why so many women? Probably due to hormonal changes and women going on HRT (hormonal replacement therapy) which doubles the risk of gallbladder disease. Estrogen raises triglycerides, a fatty acid that increases the risk for gallstones to develop. Men have a 20% risk of gallstone disease by the time they reach 76 The liver produces bile, a thick substance that aids digestion by making certain things like fats, cholesterol and fat-soluble vitamins (like Vitamin A and E) easier to absorb. Bile has many other functions like the ability to eliminate bilirubin and too much cholesterol and drugs from your body. Your biliary tract is made up of ducts (small tubes) that carry bile from your liver to your gallbladder and then into your small intestine. The gallbladder stores bile and when bile is needed it pushes bile through the bile ducts and into the small intestine. However, the flow of bile can get blocked! Ways in which bile is blocked: gallstone formation -- those that get out of the gallbladder and into the ducts gallbladder surgery due to injury to the bile ducts pancreatitis -- which can narrow bile ducts that go through the pancreas tumors in the ...

  • Gallstones, The Gallbladder, Bile, Formation Of Stones Part 1 http Introduction: Gallstones are small, hard deposits that can form in the gallbladder, a sac-like organ that lies under the liver on the right side of the abdomen. Most people with gallstones don't even know they have them. But in some cases a stone may cause the gallbladder to become inflamed, resulting in pain, infection, or other serious complications. Bile and the Gallbladder The formation of gallstones is a complex process that starts with bile, a fluid composed mostly of water, bile salts, lecithin (a fat known as a phospholipid), and cholesterol. Most gallstones are formed from cholesterol. * Bile is important for the digestion of fat. It is first produced by the liver and then secreted through tiny channels that eventually lead into a larger tube called the common bile duct, which leads to the small intestine. * Only a small amount of bile drains directly into the small intestine, however. Most flows into the gallbladder through the cystic duct, which is a side extension off the common bile duct. This system of ducts through which bile flows is called the biliary tree. * The gallbladder is a 4-inch sac with a muscular wall that is located under the liver. Here, most of the bile fluid (about 2 - 5 cups a day) is removed, leaving a few tablespoons of concentrated bile. * The gallbladder serves as a reservoir until bile is needed in the small intestine to digest fats. This need is signaled by a hormone called ...

  • Gallbladder Removal Surgery (Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy) This medical animation shows laparoscopically assisted gallbladder removal surgery, or cholecystectomy. The animation begins by showing the normal anatomy of the liver and gallbladder. Over time, gallstones form within the gallbladder, blocking the cystic duct, and causing the gallbladder to become enlarged and inflamed. The procedure, sometimes called a "lap-chole", begins with the insertion of four trocar devices, which allow the physician to see inside the abdomen without making a large incision. Air is added to the abdominal cavity to make it easier to see the gall bladder. Next, we see a view through the laparascope, showing two surgical instruments grasping the gallbladder while a third severs the cystic duct. After the gallbladder is removed, the camera pans around to show that the cystic artery and vein, have already been clipped to prevent bleeding. Item #ANIM026
  • Coffee Enema for Gallbladder & Liver Detoxification Coffee enemas were an established part of medical practice when Dr. Max Gerson introduced them into cancer therapy in the 1930s. Basing himself on German laboratory work, Gerson believed that caffeine could stimulate the liver and gall bladder to discharge bile. He felt this process could contribute to the health of the cancer patient. Although the coffee enema has been heaped with scorn, there has been some independent scientific work that gives credence to this concept. In 1981, for instance, Dr. Lee Wattenberg and his colleagues were able to show that substances found in coffee - kahweol and cafestol palmitate - promote the activity of a key enzyme system, glutathione S-transferase, above the norm. This system detoxifies a vast array of electrophiles from the bloodstream and, according to Gar Hildenbrand of the Gerson Institute, "must be regarded as an important mechanism for carcinogen detoxification." This enzyme group is responsible for neutralizing free radicals, the harmful chemicals now commonly implicated in the initiation of cancer. In mice, for example, these systems are enhanced 600% in the liver and 700% in the bowel when coffee beans are added to the mice's diet. • The Liver / Gallbladder Cleanse (1 of 2) Update 10-5-8: Cleanse #2 went well. I passed more green bile stones, they came out earlier. There weren't as many this time, but they were bigger. Update 11-2-8: Cleanse #3 showed very few stones. Either I'm almost done or I did something wrong. I didn't do very well w/ not eating cold things during the 6 day prep and I had to leave after doing the olive oil / grape fruit mixture (I still layed down for 20 minutes). I'll just have to see what happens next time. Update Dec 08: I have stopped doing the liver cleanses. I did 3. The 2nd one only had a few stones and the 3rd one literally only had like 2 or 3. So, that's good enough for me. It did not help my psoriasis, but I'm glad I did it!
  • The Amazing Liver & Gallbladder Flush. Andreas Moritz This week's special guest on The Raw Life Health Show is Andreas Moritz. Someone recently made a comment that the featured guest I interview on The Raw Life Health Show keep getting better, this week's guest was one of my favorite so maybe it's true. I mean, just when I think it can't get any better I interview someone like Andrew Moritz. Andreas Moritz opened his virtual wellness center in 1999 to assist people in achieving optimal physical well-being, emotional freedom and spiritual wisdom. He is the author of 12 books and the creator of Ener-Chi Art, Sacred Santémony and other wellness modalities. Andreas holds the strong belief that it is relatively easy to achieve good health, slow the aging process and live a fulfilled, vibrant, happy life. Rather than combating the symptoms of disease, which tends to generate a host of potentially serious side-effects that foster new diseases, he proposes that we restore the numerous factors that create and maintain the body's natural balance, vitality and youthfulness. In this interview we spoke mostly about Andreas Moritz's Amazing Liver & Gallbladder Flush. All I can say is the information in this interview is going to have a big impact on my life. Check it out and let me know what you think?

Judy Seeger, ND - traditional naturopath - shares her proven tips from her natural health clinics. In 1968, Dr. James Breneman, chairman of the Food Allergy Committee learned that painful gallbladder attacks are actually caused by allergies to foods AND medicines! He placed 69 patients having typical painful gallbladder attacks on an elimination diet to determine what foods the patient was allergic to. Dr. Breneman soon discovered that ALL of the 69 patients were completely free of painful attacks when they avoided the offending foods and other medicines causing allergic reactions Of course, the pain came back when they continued eating the wrong foods. Here's which foods were found to cause the highest pain producing attacks eggs (over 92%) pork (over 63%) onions (over 52%) chicken and turkey (over 34%) milk (over 24%) coffee (over 21%) oranges (over 18 ...
