GreenDay Bullet In A Bible part 8 of 11. I first heard of greenday in 2002, when i saw them perform with prodigy in London's astoria, they actualy blew off the roof. ever since then ive been a huge fan. So if you're wondering how Green Day managed to become the biggest punk band in the world, take a look at Bullet in a Bible. Recorded at their June 2005 two-night run at Milton Keynes National Bowl in England, this sees the former bong-hitting Californian dropouts embracing political activism, pantomime hilarity, and all the fripperies of a rock opera-and excelling at all three. This i can only describe as a docu-live perofrmance, complete with anti-American rabble-rousing and a set of barbed insults tossed back at the "rednecks" across the pond. That out of the way, the band careen into a sort of greatest-hits set, with the likes of "Longview" and "Hitchin' a Ride" sharing space with a brass-laden "King for a Day" that sees Billie Joe Armstrong prancing around the stage in crown and ermine cape, singing snatches of Lulu's "Shout" and Eric Idle's "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life." Tremendously silly, but Green Day have managed to figure out how to play it like showmen without resorting to juvenile puerility or morphing into corporate yes-men, and that's a way harder trick than it looks.
- INTERVIEW Camille & Kevin " We're fully accessorized, charms everywhere, it's kind of androgynous style, but we like it, that's it. We often go to fripperies, where you can find belts and clothes actually stylish and cheap, maybe it's not good quality, they're used clothes, but I know I go to many women shops -- not high quality shops again, but at least it's cheap, unless you don't fall for a pair of Santiag for 250 Euros, it's ok..we stay on about 60 Euros per month -- yes we don't spend more than 100 Euros per month. My parents, we could say they're very cool parents, for example they come with me to gigs, when I play with my group they come with me, when my mother sees me with slims or Santiag on, she's like "oh that reminds me when I was young, I used to dress like that, I used to wear Santiag, slims..." so my parents prefer that rather than the rap/hip hop style. Well my parents, and my style...which is androgynous a bit ...my mother is fine with it, she's happy I'm far from dressing like r'n'b and rappers, my father is a great David Bowie fan so he's not complaining at all about my makeup, as in the past his makeup was way more excessive than many women's today, so...To me, those who actually stand out from the mass are Johnny Depp, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, Keith Richard from Rolling Stones...For me...when I dress, well, apart from clothes, I have all my charms, and makeup, it takes a long time to put all this on, because you'd better not see me as I wake up -- no way. Time to dress up ...

"CadiTH" Hdh's photos around Cadiz, Spain A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Cadiz, Spain by TravelPod blogger Hdh titled "CadiTH". TravelPod is a company of TripAdvisor™. Hdh's travel blog entry: "We used Cádiz as the Phoenicians, Romans (Caesar got his first job here) and Moors had used it: a gateway to Spain. [We'd already ferried from Tangiers to Algeciras, bussed to La Linea and walked to Gibraltar, but that's another story and it has a Part II]. It was raining, gray and bitterly cold when we arrived; the Footprint map was a block out on itself and it took David an hour to find the hotel; they threw us out the following day for their Christmas holiday (might have mentioned that last night since they knew we wanted to stay two nights!). It was siesta when we arrived. Everything locked up tight and unwelcoming, deserted rain slicked streets, chilly stone, complicated iron grills and vacant eyed gargoyles. A lone busker's classical guitar drifted up from the plaza keeping us company and the Catedral bells rang out the quarter hours. By 6:00pm the building hubbub told us we could go out and be among people again. It was three days before Christmas and, although January 6th is the big gift giving event in Spain, the populace were out shopping until they dropped. They were a swirling mass of colour coalescing and then breaking apart like chaotic eddies in the cosmos, constrained only by the thread-wide streets and the skill with which fur-coated little old ladies can obstruct pedestrian flow ...

The 'Dancing Marquis' Diaries. The 'Dancing Marquis' Diaries. Filmed by Tom Swindell. Performed by Marc Rees. Directed by Christopher Morris. Music by Paul Pavey. edited by Catrin Doyle. contact performer..... Henry Cyril Paget, the fifth Marquis of Anglesey, bankrupted himself despite an annual income of £8m in today's money. He did so by frittering it on beautiful fripperies and useless extravagances - he even modified his car so the exhaust sprayed perfume - and was known as the 'Dancing Marquis'. This is the detail that performance artist Marc Rees focuses on in this arresting and at times thrillingly sensual combination of dance, film and sound, in his new production, 'Gloria Days' for which the this film was produced for.

I drew upon the 17th Century French Royal Court, It's music (Jean Baptiste Lully) costumes and Baroque mannerisms. Delorentos - Any Other Way The song Any Other Way from Delorentos. Band info: The band (Delorentos) drifted together in the usual fashion. Inspired by boredom, creative energy, and a passion for music - obvious reference points are Pixies, The Cure, The Clash and Arcade Fire; more oblique influences slide in from most genres of music and virtually every decade from the 50s onwards. Over a period of time that saw others attempt to tie down a description of their sound, they holed up in the wilds of Portrane, Co Dublin ("It's an amazing place to make music and a key factor in the Delorentos sound.") and concentrated on writing songs, pure and simple. They had no interest in the frills and fripperies or the empty bombast that occupy other bands; for them it has always been about 4 people communing to harness honest emotion, fashion melodic hooks, and roll out infectious rhythms. Parco Mediceo di Pratolino in Tuscany Italy Description from the Depliant of the Visitors Guide of Parco Mediceo di Pratolino...... The Pratolino estate was bought in 1568 by Francesco I de' Medici, who employed Buontalenti to transform it into a fairytale holiday residence for Bianca Cappello. The works started in 1569 and went on until 1581. The Villa, now not existent, was surrounded by a park of silver firs and on the groundfloor it had a serries of artificial caves with water tricks and automatic devices. The park was also full of fantastic fripperies, giving the whole complex the same atmosphere. Having fullen into ruin, the Villa and its park were demolished, then to be restructured (this is when it was transformed into an English Garden) by Grand Duke Ferdinando III di Lorena. Subsequently, the complex was sold to Prince Paolo Demidoff who in 1872 had the surviving "Paggeria" transformed into the current villa, as well as restoring the other renaissance structures and tidying up the park. On 4th August 1981, the complex was bought by the Florence Provincial Council for public use. The only part of the Renaissance complex to have come down to us is the colossal statue of the Apennine, by iambologna and his assistants, with its small underlying lake, the flight of steps of God Pan, the octagonal chapel with dome designed by Buontalenti, and the windmill. Obama/Biden hit back at Mccain/Palin's lies on taxes Joe Biden, Regular Guy: I know this debate was mostly about Sarah Palin, but let's not be ***ist and forget about Joe Biden. I thought he was great, not least because he came across as what Palin pretends to be but isn't—and what this campaign could really use: a regular person who resists pat categorizing, rather than a caricature in a polarized drama that bears no relation to life. I'm not saying that's Biden's usual public mode by any means: Man-off-his-meds can be more his style. But last night on the stage next to Palin, he was a guy in a dark suit who calmly confounded a script that's getting awfully tiresome. He wasn't the Elite Insider to her Maverick Outsider; the way Biden drew on his career accomplishments, he made 36 years in the Senate sound like real-world experience with real challenges for an independent minded person—not (as McCain often does) arcane ritual, and not like the vague grandstanding Palin invokes when she refers to her executive experience. He didn't come across as Professorial Wonk to her Main Street Mom, either, and not just because he said "champ" and invoked his blue-collar origins; he marshaled facts with ease, gave them punch because he knew what he was talking about, where for all her folksiness, her own patter sounded totally canned. And he wasn't the Old Guy to her Young Gal; only six years younger than McCain, Biden may say "ladies and gentlemen," but he seems a generation apart, lacking the condescendingly old-school tone I hear in ...
