  • Fertilizer Basics - Sta-Green Lawn Care Program Your lawn is an important part of your home. It is the first thing people see when they come to visit, and it has a definite impact on your home's value. Most people thing it takes a lot of time and money to have a beautiful lawn, but that's not necessarily true. With the right products from Sta-Green, available exclusively at Lowe's, caring for your lawn becomes an easy 3-step process. First, start in early spring to control weeds. Second, feed the lawn in mid to late spring. Third, prepare the root system for winter in the fall. Most fertilizers contain two or three primary ingredients: 1. Nitrogen gives grass it's dark green color. Too little nitrogen will yellow the grass, but using too much can burn your lawn. Sta-Green fertilizers slowly release nitrogen into the soil, giving you the green grass you want, without the worry of burning your lawn. 2. Potassium helps your lawn fight off disease, drought, and cold temperatures and helps with root development. 3. Phosphorus aids root development as well but it can contaminate ground water. Unlike many fertilizers, all Sta-Green fertilizers are phosphorus free to help protect our water sources. Another important part of maintaining a beautiful lawn is weed control. Sta-Green crab grass preventers and fertilizers with weed control feature advanced and effective weed control components. You can depend on Sta-Green to be the highest quality products at a value you can appreciate. Before you can start the 3-step process, you ...

  • Farming Simulator 2011, Fertilizing, Combining, (working the biggest field on the map) Farming Simulator 2011 English version. A quick look at the jist of it. I'm combining and harvesting a huge field of canola which is the best crop imo. As I'm combining, I already have the cultivator/plow reworking the freshly harvested land with my sower going right behind it. and my fertilizer truck right in line to fertilize the fields as the seedlings come up. It's an endless battle unloading the canola and making sure my combines stay empty so that they can keep on harvesting. Even with hired help, a big field of this size is very demanding. All the while, I have another team doing the same thing on the 4 fields closest to the mill.

  • How and when do I fertilize my lawn? Jennifer Brennan explains the ins and outs of fertilizer and how to get the green, lush lawn you want. For a nice coupon and discount visit our Facebook Page: . I'm here to tell you how and why to fertilize your lawn. Now first of all you need to understand, what is fertilizer? Fertilizer comes in two forms. There's the synthetic forms and then there're the organically based forms. And fertilizer is actually not food for your lawn, it is actually the building blocks that the lawn plants use to put their parts together. And the basic ingredients are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. And when you break down, the nitrogen, think green. Nitrogen is for the green parts, the blades of the plants. The phosphorous, the middle number on the bag, is for the root development. And roots are very important on the grass plants because they're what really supports the plant and help it spread to give it a nice, lush, thick lawn. Now, the potassium is actually the strength for the cell walls and that's what gives them disease resistance and also tolerance of heat and the cold in the winter time. So both of the organics, the organics and the synthetics, have nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. So it doesn't matter which one that you use. Now when you're looking at the synthetics, they're actually timed and coded so that those particles will last for six to eight weeks. The organics actually are naturally slow to break down. They're broken down by bacteria and fungi ...

  • Organic fertilizer - URINE AS PLANT FOOD TO MAKE PLANTS BLOOM FREE FERTILIZER!!! Law777.com http USING URINE AS PLANT FOOD TO MAKE PLANTS BLOOM FREE FERTILIZER Your pee is precious By Green Living Tips | Published 07/27/2007 Did you know that 98% of the nitrogen, 68% of the phosphorus and 85% of the potassium in your urine can be reclaimed? I guess you're asking why this is important :). Phosphorus is an essential component in all forms of life - it forms part of the structural framework of DNA and RNA molecules. It's used in a variety of industries, but mostly as an important (and very much abused) agricultural fertilizer. It appears that as a result of the consumption of phosporus for agriculture over the last 100 years or so, the world is heading for a supply crunch. According to Associate Professor Cynthia Mitchell from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, the world's deposits of phosphorus will be depleted in about 50 years. The solution - our pee! It seems that we excrete around a hundred gallons of the stuff each per year and it's one of the most concentrated sources of phosphorus. I remember stories from my father regarding his father and others using urine to water tomatos whilst interred in a prisoner of war camp in World War II. Those tomatos provided much needed vitamins for the men and probably helped some survive their time of incarceration given the horrible conditions. So, how do the boffins propose collecting this urine? Through urine separating toilets - and they have been on the market for quite a while ...

  • Make Your Own Seaweed Fertilizer Here I am, this afternoon, knocking together a solution of seaweed fertiliser--for use on my pot plants. SImply take a couple of sheets of Nori sushi seaweed paper, available in the Asian section of your supermarket. Rip up the seaweed into small pieces and drop it into a large bottle of water. (You could make the seaweed into a slurry, more quickly, maybe, by using a blender. Or what about using some hot water to speed things up, before cooling it, and putting it into the bottle?) Let the seaweed and water solution stand for a few days, to rot--giving it the occasional shake when you go past it. Then it's ready for use. I show you my young May Pop (Passiflora incarnata) and Bodhi Tree (Ficus religiosa) seedlings, grown from seeds bought off eBay. The plants look nice and green from my applications of seaweed solution. ......
  • How to Fertilize your Lawn / Grass This is how I fertilize my yard. Houston, Texas. It was 101 outside when I did this. Make sure to put LOTS of water. Mow 2 xa week if possiable on the HIGHEST setting that your lawn mower has. If you have a lawn service, if I may suggest, own your own lawn mower that your service can use to prevent damage or them not raising the setting on the mower, simply give them your code to your garage.( this will prevent 90% of issues) I Mow using a rear bag mower on the highest setting that the mower can go Plus one more. The yard is 12- 14 inchs tall in most places, and has been pictured on most major Fertilizer websites. Take my advice. WATER, WATER, and WATER, Mow twice a week on high (durring the summer), if possiable and use fertilizer once every other month. Look for 2-5% Iron content and 26 - 35% Nitro content. I like to water for a long time, at night, for deep root water (summer for over 30 minutes) ... NEVER WATER DURRING THE DAY. (I promise you will have the best lawn in your area. TAKE MY ADVICE if you have Saint Augustine grass) For new grass, ie, just planted, like you just purchased a home. MAKE sure to wait 30 - 45 day before adding fertilizer. New lawns simply water twice a day, then in 30 - 45 days use my suggestions. Again... GET THE BEST yard and YARD OF THE MONTH.. THIS WORKS...

  • Semi-automatic seed planting and fertilizing wheat farm with auto-harvest. Super efficient! The limiting factor for efficiency of wheat farms has always seemed to be the replanting process. Until now, this has consisted of carefully navigating your farm without stepping on tilled soil while clicking on every single square individually. I have developed a wheat farm which allows you to do this semi-automatically. All you need to do is hold down the mouse button and occasionally switch item stacks (the latter can be eliminated with the addition of a dispenser to refill you). The system also works for fertilizing the wheat. In addition to this, I've managed to maintain the water-harvesting functionality despite the need for cart tracks at the same height as the plants and an unobstructed view of said plants. Feedback would be awesome!
