  • Chris Botti (trumpet) "Lisa" Christopher Stephen Botti or Chris Botti [BOH-tee] (born October 12, 1962) is an American trumpeter and composer. Born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Corvallis, Oregon, he spent two years of his childhood growing up in Italy. His earliest musical influence was his mother, a classically trained pianist and part-time piano teacher. He plays a Martin Committee Handcraft trumpet made in 1940, and uses a 3 silver plated mouthpiece from Bach made in 1926, having recently retired his 1920 3C Bach mouthpiece. He counts Miles Davis among his most significant influences. Botti attended Mount Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon where he studied under Larry McVey whose renowned jazz program had come to be a regular stop for Stan Kenton and Mel Tormé when they were looking for new players. It was here he played alongside his friend, trombonist and future Academy Award nominated filmmaker, Todd Field. After leaving Mount Hood, Botti studied under David Baker and Bill Adam at Indiana University.

  • Christmas unWrapped- The History of Christmas [1/5] People all over the world celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25th. But why is the Nativity marked by gift giving, and was He really born on that day? And just where did the Christmas tree come from? Take an enchanting tour through the history of this beloved holiday and trace the origins of its enduring traditions. Journey back to the earliest celebrations when the infant religion embraced pagan solstice festivals like the Roman Saturnalia and turned them into a commemoration of Jesus' birth. Learn how Prince Albert introduced the Christmas tree to the English-speaking world in 1841, and discover how British settlers in the New World transformed the patron saint of children into jolly old St. Nick. This documentary explores the origin of Christmas and how it came to be the way we know it today. The documentary also incites the thought as to how Christmas is on one hand a result of social, cultural, and political influences (hence somewhat obscuring the apparent purpose of the festival: Christ's Mass), and on the other hand a influence over people's lives (particularly consumerism).

If the text is too fast, pause it. I also threw in a vid of the Rafflesia boss for the heck of it. - Dustia trick: Yep, that method that perfect gamers use to reach a very high level right at the beginning of the game. For this trick, you need loooots of Phoenix Downs, and yeah... just alot Phoenix Downs lol. Switch the game speed to the slowest, and make your hp below 10% (eg. hitting yourself or something). Go to Dalmasca Westersand- Corridor of Sand, and stay near the zone line. Dustia should appear out of nowhere. Throw a Phoenix Down at it, instant kill. The tricky part is that you'll need to grab the loot and zone out BEFORE the LP and EXP shows. If done correctly, when you zone back to 'Corridor of Sand,' it should appear again. From here, repeat the process and chain it until you get what you need. Yeah, my explanation is pretty brief, but I deleted my vid of the Dustia method. **You need Canopic Jar for Dustia to drop High Arcanas. - High Arcana alternate method: You can steal one when battling any esper. You can sell the following loot to get one High Arcana: 10x Arcana (if you've got Canopic Jar all this time then you should have plenty), 1x Feystone (get one from any entite or elemental monster), 1x Soul of Thamasa (drop from Oversoul in Necrohol of Nabudis). - Finish the Marilith hunt and you'll get 1 Serpent's Eye. - You can also get ...

  • Part 1 - The Day We Learned to Think - BBC Horizon Understanding of humans' earliest past often comes from studying fossils. They tell us much of what we know about the people who lived before us. There is one thing fossils cannot tell us; at what point did we stop living day-to-day and start to think symbolically, to represent ideas about our environment and how we could change it? At a dig in South Africa the discovery of a small piece of ochre pigment, 70000 years old, has raised some very interesting questions. "We see features that are almost identical to living humans" Prof Jeffrey Laitman, Mount Sinai School of Medicine Anatomically modern humans (Homo sapiens) emerged in Africa roughly 100000 years ago. We know from fossil evidence that Homo sapiens replaced other hominids around them and moved out of Africa into Asia and the Middle East, reaching Europe 40000 years ago. Prof Richard Klein believes art is a landmark in human evolution. Unquestionable art that's widespread and common suggests you're dealing with people just like us. No other animals, after all, are able to define a painting as anything other than a collection of colours and shapes. This ability is unique to humans. Other scientists agree. They believe art defines humans as behaviourally modern, and its beginning must coincide with the ability to speak and use language. If someone has the imagination to devise a shared way to describe their environment using art then it seems inconceivable that they could not possess language and speech. The search ...

  • Vampire Knight Fandub Episode 1 Part 1/3 "Yuki Cross recalls her earliest memories in which she is attacked by a vampire, and saved by the pureblood vampire Kaname Kuran. In the present, she attends the Cross Academy, a school founded by her adoptive father, Kaien Cross, and she works as a "guardian" with vampire hunter Zero Kiryuu to protect the human students of the "Day Class" from the vampires of the "Night Class", an arrangement created by Kaien to foster better relations between vampires and humans. That evening, Yuki discovers a pair of Night Class students, Hanabusa Aido and Akatsuki Kain, threatening to feed on a pair of Day Class students. Yuki attempts to stop them, and they retreat only after Zero arrives and threatens them with his anti-vampire gun, Bloody Rose." (Wikipedia) After so many months, musicvidnut96 managed to find a replacement for Hanabusa Aido for this episode only. The reason it took her awhile is because apparently there aren't a lot of good Aido's and it was difficult to find one. In any case, part two should be up either tomorrow or later tonight and part three will be up either tomorrow or Monday. The reason why this fandub will not continue is because only four people turned in their lines for episode two and, after musicvidnut96's original Aido dropped, another person dropped. She did replace them, but she only received four people's lines. In any case, since musicvidnut96 and myself collaborated on this project, I will be continuing it with her help. I have a casting video up ...

  • FFVII - Midgar Zolom - Earliest/Lowest Level Beta Note: This is no longer the lowest level on which you can learn Beta. As seen in the video response, BrutalAl did it with an average level of 6,67. However, this is still the lowest level when you survive the attack, and it's by far the safest strategy. It's still adviced that you level Barret up to 12, though. Note 2: This strategy requires ATB to be Active and the highest Battle Speed. Ok, so you've seen me defeat him on the lowest level possible, but that's only possible because you avoid Beta. So, how about learning Beta on the lowest level possible? The lowest leveled character who can survive Beta at this point (before getting the Fire Ring in Costa del Sol) is a level 11 Barret equipped with a Talisman, Elemental=Fire in his armor and with Sadness status. In addition to Barret, Cloud is on level 8, which is the lowest possible for him at this point and I decided to bring my good old level 5 Tifa along too. Therefore, my average level for this battle is 8. So, how to do this? Just poison him and wait until he uses Beta? If you've seen my level 5 Tifa video, you know that doesn't work. Beta isn't an attack he uses randomly. He will only use it as a counter attack when his HP is under 1500 IF he already stood up and kicked a character out of the battle. Those are also counter attacks, used when his HP falls below 3000 and 2000, respectively. Poison is still the way to go, though, as it makes the battle easier and quicker. Give Poison and Sense to the character you ...

It was distributed by Warner Bros. The director was Peter Yates. The story was adapted for the screen by Alan Trustman and Harry Kleiner, based on the novel titled Mute Witness (1963) by Robert L. Fish (aka Robert L. Pike). Lalo Schifrin wrote the original music score, a memorable mix of jazz, brass and percussion. The movie won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing (Frank P. Keller) and was nominated for Best Sound. Writers Trustman and Kleiner won a 1969 Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America for Best Motion Picture Screenplay. Bullitt is most-remembered for its central car chase scene through the streets of downtown San Francisco, one of the earliest and most influential car chase sequences in movie history.[1] The scene had Bullitt in a dark "Highland Green" 1968 Ford Mustang GT390 Fastback, chasing two hit-men in a "Tuxedo Black" 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum. (In honor of the Mustang in the film, the Ford Motor Company produced a limited edition 2001 Ford Mustang GT "Bullitt Mustang," which took styling cues from the '68 movie car and even mimicked its exhaust note).
