  • How to drywall - Finish Sanding Angles and Nails Mofe info on drywall visit : So on How to drywall today, I'll be showing you in this video how to finish sand Angles and Nails. Unless you're using a sponge or a sanding pad between your sander and the paper, you will notice your paper will either have to be cut, or folded to fit properly into the Sanding Pole. Put your paper square on the sanding pole like shown in the video; always keep the side of the paper that's hanging away from your angle so you don't ding the other side. Start with angles first when finish sanding, and then move on to the nails and then follow with the flats and beads. Don't overdue the angle with your sanding, it's easy to over sand down to the paper, so be careful and go easy, make sure you use a light ( 500w halogen) at all times. So you just take some rough out with your finish sander but your final finish will be done with your sanding sponge. When done sanding angles move on to the nails. You should only sand your nails with your sanding pole 3, 4, 5 times at most. Again you could sand the nails to MUCH where they will be dipped, but it's a lot harder than the angles. Make sure that you're always looking for any "sluggish" that may have splashed into the field (middle of drywall sheet). To make a professional look you want to keep your sanding pole moving like shown in the video. When you're done doing sanding your angles and nails, you're on to the next video - Finish Sanding Flats and Buts. Taping 101 people - always ...

  • How To Drywall - Applying round bullnose beads by hand For More Free Drywall Videos Visit: To apply round bullnose plastic bead by hand we are going to be using taping mud, which has glue in it so your beads stay on the wall. We premix the mudApply round Bead with a little water, you don't want to use the mud straight out of the box. We're using a 5 inch knife and a pan to hold the mud. Put a fair amount of mud on both sides of the drywall, you want a lot of mud on there, you don't want any dry spots. Once you got lots of mud on, you apply your bead. Use your knife to press on the bead in the center to squizze mud through the little holes and to make sure that the bead is centered on the drywall. We need to use the knife to fill all the little holes on the sides of the bead. If you need to add more mud go ahead and add mud but make sure that all the little holes are filled. There is a guide for your knife to glide on the bead, that's where you knife needs to go (like shown in the picture to the right). Kinda hold your knife flat with the wall so that you roll the mud up or down filling the holes, we show you very well in the video. Make sure that your bead does not touch the ground, if your bead hits the floor and the floor was to ever move for some reason, the bead may pop off the wall. We use a round wiper knife to clean off the extra mud left on the bead, taping mud is not fun to sand with a sponge. Once we apply round bullnose plastic bead by hand , we need to give it at least an hour of drying time ...

  • How To Drywall - Finish Sanding Final Touch-Ups For more tips and tutorials visit: Hi guys its been awhile since I posted on howtodrywall.co because I've been moving into a new house yay :) All moved in now ... so were gonna move on today to finish sanding final touch-ups. To sand the touch-ups which we have applied in the previous steps, were gonna need a brand new sponge. You need a new sponge which as a rough side that's not warn down too much, you need the rough side to remove the edges of the touch-up. If you use a sponge that's to doll, the edges of your touch-ups will not blend good with the old mud, its will leave a little lump there, which we call an island. We use the 885 sponges from trim-tex which are dual angle sponges meaning they are cut in an angle on both side of the sponge, this sponge also has a soft side and a rough side. Make sure you use your Designers Edge E-233 Deluxe Incandescent Trouble Light to see every little details you need to sand, the 100 watt frosted bulbs are the best bulbs for this job. So we marked all our touch-ups before with big lines and we used tint in our mud so we don't miss any. Find a touch-up and start with the sides of you touch-ups, sand them down with your sponges until the look like they are blending with old mud, then rough down the middle a little if needed, just the the bad area. Then flip the sponge over and use the soft side to give the entire touch-up and nice smooth finish sand, move your light around the touch up to make sure everything is ...

Hanging sheetrock on a ceiling can be a challenge for even two men but this technique makes it almost fun even when you hang the gyproc yourself. Telescopic paint roller handles are used here but any equivalent deadman would work just fine. Google "drywall deadman" to find out more. The ratcheting cargo bar (or jack) is essential for this technique to work properly. This kind of cargo bar is generally used to secure loads in pickups. Harbor Freight Tools and others sell these for about $20.00. The main jig though is the adjustable (telescoping) closet rod - these can bought for $4.00 or so. Of course any kind of plastic pipe that will fit loosely over the rod will work fine - abs is used in this video. If you are working with 12 foot drywall simply use two closet rods appropriately spaced.

  • InSoFast Drywall Install This is the continuing adventure with Boden Construction's first InSoFast This is the continuing adventure with Boden Brothers Construction's their first InSoFast install. In this video the Boden brothers, Chris and Dan will talk us through the drywall installation process. Once that the InSoFast is in place and completed the wall is ready for the electrician to run the wiring through the pre-engineered raceways. You can find more detailed information about running wires through InSoFast in our other videos. After the electrician leaves the site it is best to inspect your thermal barrier and repair, seal, and insulate the wall with spray foam filling all gaps and cracks and other potential air leaks. Once this is done you can install your finish materials like sheet rock/ drywall or cement board. Prior to attaching drywall or gypsum board. InSoFast panels have 3 vertical fastening strips @ 16" on center which act like studs for the attachment of drywall or sheet rock board. The drywall can be attached by screwing it to the vertical studs using standard 1 5/8" coarse thread drywall or sheet rock screws. The InSoFast panels provide a solid backing for the sheet rock so the edges of the drywall will not flex and crack at the seams. The drywall or sheet rock should be fastened every 8" on center at the edge of the drywall and at every 16" on center through the middle of the drywall. install .Now that the InSoFast is installed is completed they are ready for ...

  • How To Drywall - Finish Sanding Ceilings For more tips and tutorials visit: www.ehowtodrywall.con Hey guys today on howtodrywall.co I'm gonna be finish sanding a ceiling. This is one of the last pole sanding parts, we do ceilings usually at the end, but it don't really matter. This step is a quick step, we really only need to rough up everything that we coated. You don't need to sand this to perfection if your gonna put on texture on the ceiling. So when your sanding the ceiling I like to start with the edges, I go around the whole room doing the edges, just a quick pass to remove the big edges and lumps and other stuff. We use the rough paper for the ceiling, its the 100u paper, its petty rough, and it sand fast, so you don't need much sanding, since no one likes to sand ceilings. We don't need to sand the ceiling nails, they are gonna be covered with texture. After you sand the angles on the ceiling around the walls, no need to move on to sanding the flats on the ceiling. You really only need to make sure that you sand everything even with your Super Sander Drywall Sanding Tool, hit the big lumps and rough area a little more, but the texture will hide some. Get the edges of the flat quickly, down the middle quickly again and repeat till your done sanding all the flats and buts. This again should not take too long, when you are done this you should be able to move onto light checking. The how to drywall on light checking is next for you guys, remember always wear you mask when sanding.

The videos are: Part 1 of 2 = youtu.be Part 2 of 2 = youtu.be To Watch the Popcorn Texture Playlist = POPCORN CEILING Overview Acoustic texture, commonly referred to as popcorn texture, became a popular method of texturing ceilings many years ago because it was cheap and quick. When the texture on a popcorn-textured ceiling has become damaged or disfigured in any way, the disfigured area can easily be retextured. In the example shown here, the popcorn is being removed from a ceiling in order to hide an unsightly patch. In order remove a small area of popcorn from a ceiling, there are several materials and tools that will be needed. Materials: The only material needed is a can or two of acoustic spray texture. Tools: The tools needed are: plastic sheeting, masking tape or thumb tacks, a light-weight baking pan, a 6-inch taping knife, a hand spray pump, and a 6-foot ladder. Repair: Begin the job by removing any furniture in the room that will inhibit access to the disfigured popcorn. Next, take out the plastic sheeting and drape it over and around the area, securing the plastic to the wall or ceiling with masking tape or thumbtacks. Make sure that the sheeting covers the carpet as well. If no texture needs to be removed from the ceiling in order to repair the disfigured popcorn, then once the area has been covered, ascend the ladder and simply spray the canned spray texture onto the ceiling where ...
