Refuting Theist Arguments - Why Religion is Delusional Refuting Theist Arguments -- Why Religion is Inherently Delusional Many theists get upset when I say that religion is a system of delusions, or when I say that there is a taboo against criticizing mass delusions that are in the form of religion. In this video I will explain why religions (ie systems that hold a belief in one or more supernatural forces) are inherently delusional. Let us start out by examining a set of criteria for determining if a belief is delusional. Karl Jaspers, a German psychiatrist who had a strong influence on modern psychiatry, defined a delusion by three criteria: -1) Certainty (held with absolute conviction) -2) Incorrigible (not changeable by compelling counter-argument or proof to the contrary) -3) Impossibility or falsity of context (implausible, bizarre, or patently untrue) Let's see if religion meets the criteria: -1) Religious individuals do hold their beliefs with absolute certainty. What I gained in recovery from Anorexia I've seen a few of the 'what I have lost to my eating disorder' videos. They are all very sad and it's something that I can really relate to. Eating disorders steal so much from you while at the same time deluding you into thinking that they are all you really want in life. I decided to make a video about what I gained in recovery because sometimes I think it's easy to slip into a state of despair when you have an eating disorder and feel like you will never get rid of it. Sometimes it's so hard to maintain the motivation to even *want* to get rid of it. I'm still recovering and I'm not perfect, I slip up now and then. Shooting My Reloaded Ammunition I was able to get out to the range to shoot my freshly minted reloads. The audio is bad due to the huge ventilators they use. I made two 50 round batches using different powders with similar results. There was no difference in recoil between the two loads, and they both felt the same as the factory load. Power Pistol was designed for 9mm, 357 Sig, 40 S&W, and 10mm to get maximum performance from these calibers. I think the Power Pistol performed better for me. Maybe Power Pistol is a faster burning powder than Unique, and that made the difference in my 4" barrel. I don't know. If someone does know (or if I'm just deluding myself), please let me know.
