  • TEACHING CLOCK SONG (children's lullaby) Recorded directly from the toy clock itself, I wound it up fully and recorded it until it came to its end. You can hear all the imperfections of the recording if you listen closely on some headphones. Near the end, you can also hear the clock sticking. I didn't try to correct any of these "mistakes" since I just wanted to capture it exactly as it sounded. I also noticed the "ticking" of the clock is missing. I assume this defectiveness is why this was donated to Goodwill. I've seen a few postings of this song, but I tried to make one of the better copies in my studio. It's nothing great, but it does bring back great childhood memories. Since my mom threw my clock away since I was 12, it took my sister-in-law to find one when I was 42 years old, though she bought it for my niece. I had to "borrow" it from her for about an hour to do this, but we're now both happy with the results. If I ever get a better teaching clock without all the flaws, I'll re-record it and post it for any child, or person, who wishes to hear this memorable melody in its entirety.

  • Schema Therapy - Narcissism traits Part 1 (Session 1) This was created for a graduate psychology class assignment. At the time we were making these clips few streaming videos were available to the public. We recognize we are amateurs and may not be exercising the principles outlaid in the text precisely. Narcissism, like any personality trait varies in degree of social and personal conflict. After working a practicum at a college counseling center it became apparent that much of the Axis I issues were highly related to non-significant Axis II traits. Schema therapy is a excellent psychological conceptualization and treatment device for personality related issues. This particular clip is less about schema treatment and more about building a conceptual background of the client. People with narcissistic traits often come to therapy depressed and dissatisfied with life. They may seek therapy for validation and reinforcement of maladaptive schema self-perceptions. The cerebral and somatic grandiosity are often conceptualized as reinforced defenses or overcompensations for fear of being emotionally vulnerable and perceived as a failure. Self-soothing and other avoidant defenses of emotionally vulnerability can also take the form of drug addiction, workaholism, gambling, computer game addiction, affairs, and hyper-***ual activities. As you can see these self-soothing behaviors are similarly enacted by people with other issues surrounding emotional vulnerability. This suggests the presence of other discriminating personality ...

  • Exposing the Mental Health system - Only Smarties exhibition Only Smarties have the Answer (see also other Only Smarties have the Answer films) What is the difference between God and a Psychiatrist? Answer: God does not believe he is a psychiatrist. The Oxford Companion to the Mind defines psychosis as: 'the misapprehension and misinterpretation of the nature of realty.' This definition not only presumes that there is a correct way to apprehend and interpret reality, it also implies that to see the world through the eyes of the clinician is an accurate and superior way of perceiving; Judgemental is a very revealing word. The truth is, however, psychiatry has a shameful history and has lamentably and deplorably carried aspects of that past into the present. To ensure that individuals do not stray too far from the limited and restricted parameters that define the norm, psychiatry imposes: Incarceration, physical restraints, pain compliance techniques, forced drugging, compulsory electro-convulsive 'therapy', psychosurgery, and brainwashing... all of which demonstrate the defectiveness rather than the effectiveness of psychiatric treatment...control under the guise of care. Such practices are profoundly damaging to the mental health and emotional well being of the recipient. For psychiatry to heal others it must first heal itself.

True guilt comes when we've done something wrong that damages our relationship with God. False guilt comes when we blame ourselves for things we can't control OR we don't forgive ourselves for what we've asked God to forgive us. It's a demonic deception to think that you can make your life better by harming yourself. Understand that depression is not evidence of spiritual defectiveness, there is hope. Question your reality, but don't focus on the negatives.
