  • The Gun Show - Currents LYRICS We, Come in the name of the Almighty, and we ask that his presence is made known, in this place, Holy Spirit make haste, let not one person leave unchanged, so who all hear may know, that the glory of the Lord is shown, through the power and authority of His word. So Lord let your Spirit flow through this place, like the mightiest of rivers, I stand here willing oh God would you please speak through me. There is such an authority found in the name of Christ, A power given to us that we are not worthy to posses, So in the name of Jesus Christ I stand bold in that power and come against anything that isn't of God, and in His name anyone who hears this song with an open heart in concordance with the mighty will of God is delivered, from sickness, pain and depression or anything that Satan will use to bind our minds and trip us up to detour our hearts away from, God. So through the spirit we walk in His might, because of Faith and not by sight. How powerful is it when you believe, in a love you can't quite comprehend, with physical means you cannot abound, But through the beautiful name of Christ, an undeniable presence surrounds. So now you shall, feel His presence, as His name passes from my lips, so now you shall feel an undeniable presence, as His name passes from my lips. Yod(Y), He(H), Vav(W,V), He(H) Holy Spirit, Make your presence known Holy Spirit, mend the hearts that are broken from the pain that this life bestows, Holy Spirit, make us whole, make us whole ...

  • What Is Eddy Current Check us out at Eddy currents are currents induced in conductors to oppose the change in flux that generated them.[citation needed] It is caused when a conductor is exposed to a changing magnetic field due to relative motion of the field source and conductor; or due to variations of the field with time. This can cause a circulating flow of electrons, or a current, within the body of the conductor. These circulating eddies of current create induced magnetic fields that oppose the change of the original magnetic field due to Lenz's law, causing repulsive or drag forces between the conductor and the magnet. The stronger the applied magnetic field, or the greater the electrical conductivity of the conductor, or the faster the field that the conductor is exposed to changes, then the greater the currents that are developed and the greater the opposing field. The term eddy current comes from ***ogous currents seen in water when dragging an oar breadthwise: localised areas of turbulence known as eddies give rise to persistent vortices. Eddy currents, like all electric currents, generate heat as well as electromagnetic forces. The heat can be harnessed for induction heating. The electromagnetic forces can be used for levitation, creating movement, or to give a strong braking effect. Eddy currents can often be minimised with thin plates, by lamination of conductors or other details of conductor shape.

  • Ocean currents likely to carry oil to Atlantic Update: February 28, 2011 - What happened to the oil? Detectable amounts never made it to the Atlantic, at least not in an easily visible form on the ocean surface. In this follow-up article we review: * the difference between a projection and an actual forecast * the challenges of making short-term projections of natural processes that can act chaotically, such as ocean currents. See: www2.ucar.edu ------ June 3, 2010 A detailed computer modeling study released June 3, 2010, indicates that oil from the massive spill in the Gulf of Mexico might soon extend along thousands of miles of the Atlantic coast and open ocean as early as this summer (see www2.ucar.edu ). The modeling results are captured in a series of dramatic animations produced by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and collaborators. The colors represent a dilution factor ranging from red (most concentrated) to beige (most diluted). The simulations do not make any assumptions about the daily rate or total amount of oil spilled and the dilution factor does not attempt to estimate the actual barrels of oil at any spot. Instead, one unit per day of a liquid "dye tracer" is injected in the model at the spill site (injected continuously over the period April 20 through June 20). The animation on this page shows possible scenarios of what might happen to dye released in the upper 65 feet of ocean at the spill site. The dilution factor depicts how dye released at the site of the spill will be ...

  • Eddy Current Tubes Eddy Current Tubes -- Drop the Magnets down the tube. An eddy current is set up in a conductor in response to a changing magnetic field. Lenz's law predicts that the current moves in such a way as to create a magnetic field opposing the change; to do this in a conductor, electrons swirl in a plane perpendicular to the changing magnetic field. Because the magnetic fields of the eddy currents oppose the magnetic field of the falling magnet; there is attraction between the two fields. Energy is converted into heat. This principle is used in damping the oscillation of the lever arm of mechanical balances.
  • Bill Nye The Science Guy on Ocean Currents (oceanography (Full Clip) Currents keep the ocean moving. They start with spin of the Earth and the heat of the Sun. The salt in seawater makes the density, water's weight, change. That helps push water from one side of the world to the other. Without motion in the ocean, there wouldn't be nearly as many different things living in the sea. There would probably be none of us. Currents out in the Ocean make our world the way it.

  • NASA: The Thermohaline Circulation (The Great Ocean Conveyor Belt) [720p] The oceans are mostly composed of warm salty water near the surface over cold, less salty water in the ocean depths. These two regions don't mix except in certain special areas. The ocean currents, the movement of the ocean in the surface layer, are driven mostly by the wind. In certain areas near the polar oceans, the colder surface water also gets saltier due to evaporation or sea ice formation. In these regions, the surface water becomes dense enough to sink to the ocean depths. This pumping of surface water into the deep ocean forces the deep water to move horizontally until it can find an area on the world where it can rise back to the surface and close the current loop. This usually occurs in the equatorial ocean, mostly in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. This very large, slow current is called the thermohaline circulation because it is caused by temperature and salinity (haline) variations. This animation shows one of the major regions where this pumping occurs, the North Atlantic Ocean around Greenland, Iceland, and the North Sea. The surface ocean current brings new water to this region from the South Atlantic via the Gulf Stream and the water returns to the South Atlantic via the North Atlantic Deep Water current. The continual influx of warm water into the North Atlantic polar ocean keeps the regions around Iceland and southern Greenland mostly free of sea ice year round. The animation also shows another feature of the global ocean circulation: the Antarctic ...
