I find that Deft takes a little bit longer to cure and remains kinda soft. In Part 16 where I do all the final sanding and polishing, the back side of the guitar (the only place where I used Deft) had some cloth prints on it after I laid it on a t-shirt for a long time. How to Remove a Clear Coat Run Using Polyester Putty Visit us @ Refinish Network consists of various professional and enthusiast painters whom work collectively to help eachother out using the websites discussion forum. You will also find various helpful 'how to' articles from painting to body repairs. This is a little run left in the clear coat. It is removed with no ghosting by applying polyester putty over the run first, then sanding it down flat and polishing to shine. It sucks to have happen but every painter has had a clear coat run from time to time. Removing a run takes some patience and time. but you can save a paint job when its done right. Let the run dry thoroughly before attempting this of the run can tear up from the clear coat. I have gotten many clear coat runs and many have resulted in resprays, as time goes on you get better and it happens much less...some clear coats are more prone to run then others to so consider changing your clearcoat or equipment set-up if you keep getting em!

How to first coat a corner bead Apply the mud evenly. Be sure to fill it full. Clean the edge of the mud. Remove all ridges and waves. Guage the mud with the knife to make sure it is not too full or too thin. It should be flat and smooth. First coat will shrink slightly. The second should completely cover the first coat and require little build up. The third and final coat should be done with topping joint compound mixed creamy. Apply it as a skim coat making certain to completely cover previous coats. Swipe until all pinholes (pocking) is removes. There should be no imperfections in this coat that cannot be sanded out.
