Making Pine-Pitch Adhesive A short video showing my method for making pine-pitch adhesive (a natural hot-melt glue using dry/solidified pine sap as its main ingredient). Pine-pitch adhesive and other similar plant sap adhesives were used by our human ancestors for thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years. Following this video is another demonstrating the use of pine-pitch adhesive to secure two stone points to wood shafts (and arrowhead and an atlatl dart point). Contactol Conductive Adhesives Contactol Conductive AdhesivesWhen a track on a circuit board is damaged it is often hard to restore it. Soldering is not easy. And what do you do if it's a track on a circuit board of a laptop keyboard? In most cases these tracks are made of film. And what about tracks made of aluminium spatter? In these situations soldering is simply impossible.The best way to solve this problem is to use the specialised conductive adhesives by Contactol. They are designed to make conductive links on dielectrics. Let's look at the following example. We have a radio with the specific resistance of 1.5 ohms per mm. Graphite is used as conductive filler along with silver filled Contactol adhesive. This particular adhesive is often used to repair rear window defroster threads in automobiles. The adhesive has high conductivity. It is also thermoresistant. Its specific resistance is 0 ohms per mm.Let's use the adhesive to repair the broken tracks on the circuit board. We mix the adhesives thoroughly and carefully put them onto the tracks that need to be repaired. We are doing it with an overlap of about 2 mm. The segments of the tracks have been cleared beforehand. The adhesive needs 30 minutes to solidify. To speed up the process, let's heat it up with a blow dryer. This will decrease the resistance. Now let's check the continuity of the tracks. To do this we need to measure their resistance with a multimeter. The resistance must be close to zero.Thus, using the Contactol adhesives you can ...

The most important tips to remember is to use thin, even coats and not cake it on too thick.
