We were practicing with a more natural, upright fighting stance versus the common wide or deep bow stance. Our focus was on sensitivity, listening energy (sticking & adhesiveness), redirection and root connection. The natural progression from the aforementioned principles would be using an application to attack/defend with or without fajing added. I'd like to stress that this should be done as a last resort when one doesn't have enough Bey parts from one company and needs to use another. Hasbro should be used with Hasbro and same goes for Takara Tomy. They indeed fit and work well, but it's just for consistency. On a side note, I'd have to say the plastic or polycarbonate that Takara Tomy uses for their Clear Wheels, Tracks and Bottoms are not as strong as Hasbros, but their stickers are better in terms of design and adhesiveness.
