Molly's Voice after Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy Molly had her tonsils and adenoids removed 3 days ago and it has left her sounding nasally when she speaks. People who have had their children go through this assured us that her normal voice will return as her throat heals. It was disturbing at first but with the assurance we've been given we are now able to have a much more lighthearted reaction to her speech. Bless her heart - she's such a joy! Update: One year after surgery and the results are miraculous. Our precious baby, who had been constantly sick for so long, has gone a full year fever-free! And her voice is perfect too. :)

Endoscopic Adenoidectomy This video demonstrates the technique of endoscopic adenoidectomy using a 2.7mm nasal endoscope and using per oral curettage method when microdebrider is not available. This procedure was a revision procedure carried out in a 8 year old boy who had undergone an earlier tonsilloadenoid resection two years ago with recurrent symptoms since the surgery. This technique provides a good control over the procedure and decreased the chances of recurrence of adenoids due to poorly performed blind curettage.

Endoscopic Adenoidectomy in 3 year old - Stryker Microdebrider Child had severe snoring and sleep apnea. Xray showed complete obstruction of the airway. Child underwent endocopic microdebrider assisted adenoidectomy. The advantages of this technique is that removal is performed under vision thus ensuring total removal of the adenoid and alleviation of symptoms especially the adenoid obstructing the posterior opening of the nasal cavity . In addition this technique is safe and there is less blood loss.

Endoscopic Adenoidectomy - Snoring and Sleep Apnea Treatment - Medtronic RAD 0 and 40 Patient presented with severe snoring and sleep apnea. Investigations revealed the block to be in the nose and a CT scan was obtained which showed the adenoid to be completely blocking the nasal cavities. Patient was treated successfully with Endoscopic microdebridement of the tissue and is symptom free.
